THE INSIDE SCOOP with The Insider

• The number of pay‐per‐views the TWF is producing is expected to drop in 2013. The TWF's current pay‐per‐view deal with Sky runs out at the end of next year and the company has already begun planning around a 10 pay‐per‐view date schedule. There is a feeling however that the TWF may not even stick with Sky in 2013 and may instead turn to an internet pay‐per‐view based model, which would be unprecedented in the United Kingdom. Several people are against the idea as they feel it would alienate a sizable majority of the company's fans, but there is a real chance that if it doesn't happen in the next round of carriage negotiations, it will be a factor in the contract following it, especially as the UK's 4G mobile network should be running at the time.
• The decision to have a separate commentary team of Mr. Smooth and Bryn Tomos for the Sky 3D broadcast of PayBack was made by Sky, who usually have two different announce teams for 3D events ‐ the standard announce team heard on LD and HD broadcasts and the second team on 3D broadcasts. Many in the company expect the PayBack viewing figures for 3D to not be particularly high, but if the figures come in and are surprisingly high, there is a possibility that the company could film every event in 3D from around March. Sources inside BSkyB hope the TWF view it as a success as industry insiders feel that the TWF in 3D could help the fledgling technology get off the ground.
• Road to Glory will début in late-January 2012 and the first tease for the new series will be shown at PayBack. Marz has impressed many in what has already been seen of the show. Diamond Dallas Page was joined by Dave Finlay as the chief trainers, with a guest from the TWF appearing every week. Each show builds to a series of matches which are analysed by the trainers, with eliminations occurring in the ring shortly afterwards. The plan is for the show's eventual final to feature the Road to Glory participants facing off in a dark match in the TWF Arena, but this is subject to change. There is no female trainer at the moment, which has disappointed many, but there is some female involvement, with Rachael appearing as a guest trainer early in the show's run.
• Much of the TWF's plans for the next eight months have been set in stone, with most of the Summer Break XIII card already being pencilled in at this point in time. Already looking to be "on" are matches between two former tag teams ‐ Connor Kelly will face Matt Aish in a long-awaited match from their PWC days, as well as a match between Eddie McBrain and John Harper that will likely feature the Intercontinental Championship.
• Cowboys Stadium has apparently been placed on stand-by for Summer Break as the TWF apparently feels that the production facilities at the Los Angeles Coliseum may be compromised in inclement weather. This would be a blow to Mr. BIG, who was desperate for the event to go ahead. The Georgia Dome is also being looked at in the event that LA can't hold the event.
• The 2012 birthday special will be getting some big hype due to an interesting main event that is being planned. There is strong talk that should Mr. BIG win on Sunday, he will stipulate his title shot take place in the TWF Arena, hoping for an incredible crowd reaction to help him to victory. Biggie's incredible last two years, and his amazing weight-loss mean that many of the people sceptical of a sixth World Championship might be eating their words in February.
• There will be a big effort on the part of the TWF to get an XCW reunion show going in late September. Mr. BIG is the biggest proponent of the idea, although Biggie has admitted he would like NJS's blessing before completing such an idea. XCW's return as a full-time promotion is a total non-starter, therefore Mr. BIG wants it to have more of an ECW One Night Stand 2005 feel "like putting a bow on the top of the promotion's life".
• There are no plans to have any PWC talent called up to the main roster after Christmas, the first time in many years the TWF will not introduce any new faces at the beginning of the year. One vocal person in backstage meetings has managed to get his opinion over well with those on the writing team and the TWF Board that the turnover of new faces is too high and the company could do with some stability for a little while before adding some new characters. Some backstage are unhappy at how little character development appears to have happened to much of the lowercard at the moment, with many expressing that outside of Sin Nombre and Marquis Shax, the talents are being often confused with each other.
• Ron Lindberg has impressed many with his in-ring ability since returning, leading some internet critics to state that his first run could have been one of the company's worst managed. Lindberg has admitted that in his time away, he has conquered some lingering personal demons and feels he is the happiest he has ever been. Mr. BIG has often spoken of Lindberg's incredible wrestling mind. Those close to the two men state that the respect between them is incredible and that the reason Lindberg has been able to get to this stage is because Biggie "gets" him.

• Expect the story of the renegades to run along for a long while. The TWF anticipated the renegades to kick-off right after Summer Break, but the company held the story off to work out a few major issues. The TWF has already planned the beginning, middle and end of the faction and those who have seen the plans as they stand say they are "stunning" and "game-changing".
• The Brewery Field appears to be the likely venue for the TWF's Jubilee Weekend event. One initial plan for the renegades storyline was for it to either end or a major flash point happening at the venue ‐ a fascinating piece of happenstance considering that the Rebels with Attitude versus Seek and Destroy storyline began in the same venue almost nine years earlier.
• There will be a big emphasis on the TWF's Twelfth Birthday program in February 2012. The production department have entered negotiations to film a very grand opening to the show that won't be like anything the company has done before. Suggestions were made that the show be aired on Channel Five as a way to get higher ratings, but many within the TWF feel that aggravating the company's relationship with Sky as the contract between the two firms nears it's end will only strengthen Sky's position in negotiations.
• At the beginning of the year, much was made of Scott Hudson's decision to part ways with the company. As things stand, Hudson will remain with the company "for the foreseeable future" - a quote from my source in the wages department. Due to his current treatment by his employers, the TWF has reached out to Jim Ross about a potential deal, but Ross has politely declined. There is a feeling that at some point during the renegades storyline that a third, dissenting, voice will be added to the announce team for balance within the next few months. That voice is expected to be the long-suffering Mr. Smooth, who has been waiting for his chance for a long time.
• An internal memo that I caught sight of this week has raised an interesting possibility. The TWF is considering returning to the Brynteg Arena after five years away. The school has had a turnover in staff over the past few years and those close to the school feel that TWF money will help the school's profile once more. Marz, who remains close to a senior management figure at the arena, is leading the charge and the squared circle could be back in the venue in the next few months.
• The TWF is looking to expand it's portfolio of mobile applications over the next few weeks. The company will push out new apps outside of BlackBerry for the first time as the exclusivity deal between the two companies comes to a close. An Android, iOS and Windows Phone TWF official application which will feature tour dates, roster information and link to other TWF apps will be released in the next few weeks. The company will also resist making a free and paid app for the time being, but is open to the possibility depending on popularity and potential revenue.
• PCW have apparently tried to negotiate another Mr. BIG appearance at one of their shows, but the promotion have been told that Biggie is not interested. PCW have grown somewhat in recent months off the back of the Biggie/Ryan Jenkins feud earlier this year, but the company has stalled in it's growth somewhat. At one point the company was very close to getting a TV deal on the Extreme Sports network, the channel that once aired RWF Meltdown. But the deal broke down and the company remains in a funk.
• Piers Morgan tweeted this week that Mr. BIG will be a guest on the next series of his Life Stories interview program. Morgan is a friend of Biggie's due to his sons being huge wrestling fans, and the two often exchange tweets about their love of football and occasionally politics. I can also reveal that part of the reason that Road to Glory was pushed back was because an offer was extended for Jean Claude Van Slam to participate in I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, which he declined. As speculated a few months ago, NJS was offered a place on this season's Strictly Come Dancing, but ultimately he decided he was not interested in the show and declined.

• Despite him being considered part of the infamous "Exodus" in July, there is a feeling that Rick Majors could return to the TWF at some point after he is back to full fitness. Majors's status with the company is ambiguous due to his injuries, which is why he was off television when the "Exodus" occurred. In the likely event that his match with Justin Polaris at Easter HeAT wins Match of the Year, Majors has already committed to returning to the company to pick up the award, which leads many to believe that Majors could return in some way, shape or form.
• The TWF's reality program, Road to Glory, has been delayed until after Christmas after the company had problems casting the show. Marz is still committed to hosting the show, but Jean Claude Van Slam, who signed on to be one of the trainers, has pulled out for personal reasons. The likelihood is that Lita, who also committed to the program, will drop out as a result. The production team behind the show were initially reluctant to pick trainers who were not known through their TWF connections, but due to the lack of trainers willing to do the program, the company is looking at outside names. The biggest of which, is Diamond Dallas Page, who has remained good friends with Marz for a number of years.
• Summer Break XIII is already causing a few production headaches for the TWF's production staff, who are uncertain on how to cope with the potential summer heat of Los Angeles. The back-up plan is for the event to either head to Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, but that would depend on other engagements, or the most likely change is for the event to move to the Bridgend Dome if the production staff aren't certain on how to solve any issues.
• Several former TWF champions have been contacted about a possible appearance at a special TWF Anniversary Show at the TWF Arena in February 2012. The TWF has held back on extended editions of Grit BasH and/or Fury over the past two years as many people sometimes feel it would be overkill, but the TWF is working the schedule of early 2012 largely around a 3-hour Grit BasH which will be built up as a major event, akin to a pay‐per‐view. Channel Five have also entered negotiations for a TV Special to air on the extended Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend in June 2012 as a way of drawing ratings and the TWF is seriously considering it.
• The TWF's Twitter feed has been swamped with requests over the past year or so surrounding a potential 3D showing. The company has purposely held off on making such an investment due to what happened during the upgrade to High Definition in 2006/2007. However, the TWF has agreed to borrow equipment from Sky for PayBack, and the company will then consider whether pursuing 3D on a regular basis is worth the risk.
• I can also confirm that a long standing urban legend is true. The TWF did negotiate with Ring of Honor on producing a joint one-off internet pay‐per‐view featuring a series of "Dream Matches" between the stars of the two promotions. The idea was floated around 18 months ago, but due to Ring of Honor getting new ownership, the plans were dropped. Steve Corino's appearance was part of the deal, but was not affected. Two matches that were considered show stealers were the Dangerous Alliance versus the Kings of Wrestling, as well as Technically Superior versus Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team.

• Nytro's promo last night and the return of the original TWF World Championship belt was not scripted. Nytro had spoken privately about getting the old belt back and he spoke with someone at TWF Towers who knew where the original belt was kept, and managed to get it sent to Paris by Wednesday afternoon. The only person who knew about the plan was Mr. BIG, who Nytro approached about coaching his promo and Biggie gave Nytro a hand. BIG was in the production truck backstage and produced that segment himself and it received universal praise from the roster, something notoriously difficult to achieve. Sales of the replica of the classic belt have shot up and it is expected to be a full-time return as the new re-design quickly out-grew it's welcome after Polaris was awarded the belt in January.
• The general feeling in the locker room about Summer Break was that it was a success, with many handshakes being exchanged for the great matches that took place on Sunday. But one match in particular didn't get high praise, which was Blade-Matt Aish. As speculated, Blade was to leave the company after Summer Break and put Aish over, ending his winning record at the event, but Blade managed to get his contract extended by a few weeks and then changed his mind, insisting he win. This did not make him very popular backstage and many felt Aish was unfairly treated by the veteran afterwards. Aish has spoken about how disappointed he was in his match and felt crushed by the underwhelming reaction it has received. There was talk on Wednesday that Aish could be ready to quit himself as he thinks that his career might have stalled, with his girlfriend also dominating his thoughts.
• Buzz for the TWF's reality program, Road to Glory, has already begun. As seen from the show's trailer which aired during Summer Break XII, Marz has signed on to host the program and the reaction from those who have seen the program is that Marz is an "excellent" host. Jean Claude Van Slam, as expected, has signed on as one of the program's trainers, but the other trainers are yet to be confirmed. A well-placed source tells me that Lita, not Libra, will train the female competitors, whilst the Overnight Male is negotiating to join the show. The Bandit, JT Money, Gravedigger and Ottobomb have been contacted as possible trainers, but there is no confirmation of their involvement. A press pack will be sent out at the end of September to confirm the show's line-up and duration, although the plan is for the show to begin filming in mid-September and run for 12 weeks.
• The TWF considers the mammoth US tour a resounding success, but it is unlikely that the company will ever undertake a tour of such length and magnitude again. A lot of the roster was burned out and struggled being away from their families for so long, although spirits were lifted when the company flew out the roster's families for the Summer Break weekend, a gesture that no-one expected. Smaller tours, like those of two or three months, are still expected to be held, but those are deemed by the roster to be easier to comprehend.
• Hype for TWF Home Video releases are comparatively rare, but Mr. BIG tweeted a few weeks ago that he is planning on producing a TWF "Founding Fathers" home video that will feature him, Marz and NJS in a studio discussing their careers and respective promotions. There is also plans for a documentary on a reunion of the TWF wrestlers who were on the company's first show in February 2000 in early-2012.
• Plans for an XWF reunion program have also fallen through. Whilst there was initial enthusiasm from talent and staff about a one-off show in Chicago this September to celebrate ten years since the company's first show, the plans never got off the ground. One source of mine told me "Biggie wanted to plan it, but he was told not to worry about it. Turns out if you want to get something done, get Biggie to do it." Plans for an XCW reunion program however are already underway and members of the company's roster have already been contacted about their availability for a show in September 2012, which everyone is excited about.

• An agreement between the company and those who walked out two weeks ago is coming nearer. The company are still said to be extremely angry with what happened. I can confirm through my well-placed source that during the emergency conference call prior to Grit BasH, Mr. BIG handed in his notice as TWF CEO and wanted to cancel the show and tear apart the Summer Break card, as many of those who walked out were going to get prominent parts of Summer Break and get the momentum for their late-2011 feuds going. Ultimately cooler heads prevailed, Mr. BIG remains CEO and only minor changes have been made to the card.
• The planned change to the Television Championship of introducing a TV Time Limit will come into effect sometime in September. The company will introduce a 15 minute time limit for the belt for Television defences, which will become more normal than at the moment. The plan is for the time limit to be increased for pay‐per‐view matches, although this is consideration that the belt not be defended on pay‐per‐view at all and the company would reintroduce the European Championship to fill the void, but this is just speculation at present.
• The big topic of locker room conversation at Grit BasH tonight was the events in England over the past few days, but also some surprising news regarding Sophie. Sophie posted on Twitter this weekend that she had split up with her boyfriend and was considering moving back to south Wales. When Mr. BIG was asked about the situation he replied that he was "monitoring events closely", which drew a laugh but did confirm he had spoken to his ex-girlfriend about it and he would support her in anyway possible. Biggie gained the sympathy from much of the locker room recently when he was promised by an old female friend of his that he hadn't seen in many years that they would be available for a catch-up last week, but Biggie ended up getting stood-up, leaving the former World Champion humiliated and lost for words.
• Steve Corino and his son Colby have been an active part of the locker room and have fit in well during their short tenure. Corino has openly told the locker room he is only around for the next month or two and is looking forward to finally having the "money match" that fans have been looking forward to. On a poll on a leading TWF fan site, the Beam-Corino match is currently the second most anticipated behind the Square Ladder match at Summer Break and there is some talk that the match could go on third from last. And yes, there is definitely talk of putting the Square Ladder Match on last this year, although many would still like the World Championship match to headline after being second-from-last in 2010. In the current match order as things stand, Mr. BIG-Avenger is in the mid card, Mr. BIG's lowest appearance at a Summer Break.
• Pensacola is bracing itself for one of the biggest TWF birthday parties in recent memory as Connor Kelly and his friends have promised "the party to end all parties" in the city tonight for the young wrestler's birthday. Kelly has become a popular member of the locker room as a result of his passion for the business and his love of a good party, with many senior members of the locker room already having a collection of their favourite stories of his. For the record, Kelly is not dating his manager Gabriele Hiemler.
• On a related note, Matt Aish is not in a relationship with Katy Ledger at present as the two remain committed to their partners outside of the company. Aish voiced his concern earlier this week on Twitter about his girlfriend who is based in London and was near to some of the looting, but was he was relieved to find out she was safe and sound. Aish is pegged by many inside the Board Room as the natural successor to Mr. BIG as a result of his natural charisma and wrestling talent. Whisper it quietly, but many feel that Aish's good looks give him an advantage over Mr. BIG too.
• Progress in the TWF's reality show is coming along at a good pace and a commercial for the show will air during Summer Break. The show is still untitled, but it was confirmed this week that Jean Claude Van Slam is on-board as a trainer alongside head of the TWF Asylum, Wayne Morris. The TWF ultimately decided to cast ten male wrestlers and six female wrestlers for the show based on open try‐outs at the Asylum. The winner of the show will get a guaranteed contract in PWC with a view to being TWF wrestler in the future. The focus of the show will be like WWE's Tough Enough, but with no "challenge", which the company felt was too gimmicky. Instead, guests will appear on each episode to emphasise on certain aspects of their job, such as learning moves, marketing themselves, cutting promos and such. Marz is still being pegged as the host of the show, but he hasn't totally confirmed to the program yet. NJS has been placed on stand-by, although a name being whispered quietly is Hawke as a potential host.
• The TWF has entered negotiations with a blockbuster venue to hold Summer Break XIII. Mr. BIG is alleged to have woken up in the middle of the night and simply said one word: "Coliseum". The company is looking to do what the WWF couldn't and hold it's biggest event at the famous Los Angeles Coliseum, the only venue to hold two Olympic Games. The initial feeling is one of promise as using the venue wouldn't clash with any major events in the area at the time and there is also the potential for the TWF to get a major foothold in advertising in Hollywood. However, one major problem is likely to be the temperature at the venue, which would likely start in the midday sun unless the TWF is willing to push the event back an hour or maybe two. Even if talks with the city of Los Angeles go well, the Millennium Stadium or Bridgend Dome are expected to be announced as the host venue in the next few weeks.
• When photos of the famous Embassy Coliseum being demolished were uploaded to Twitter by former TWF wrestler Dougie Christian, much of the roster and most of the alumni were quick to express their sadness. The building was a focal point of Bridgend town for almost a century and was formerly a cinema and bingo hall before a Marz-led restoration in 2002 saw the venue become one of the most beloved TWF venues of all-time. Sadly, the owners of the building have decided against another potential refit and have knocked the building to the ground, likely to make way for more car parking. In a related note, the TWF's internal calendar did have a pay‐per‐view pegged for the centre of Bridgend in 2012 but it was recently changed to a venue in the suburbs as the company feels without any major investment in a while, the Bridgend Rec would no longer make a suitable host to larger events.

THE INSIDE SCOOP with The Insider

• Rick Majors's injury at Total Chaos is serious enough that he will be out of Summer Break XIII, a heart-breaking blow for the superstar. The main event was tapped to be a Three Way Dance between Justin Polaris, Nytro and Majors for the World Championship with Majors looking to be the one leaving New Orleans with the big prize. Majors was devastated last night and spent much of the night in pain and tears knowing that his chance to impress on the biggest stage was gone. There is already talk however that Majors may appear on commentary for the main event as a way of at least getting him involved, a la Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 13.
• There are some however who feel that Majors has wrestled his last match for the company. Majors's contract runs out in December and the feeling is that Majors would have been unlikely to renew it as he would have liked to return to his native Canada. Majors was tipped to be one of the biggest stars made out of the TWF's big autumn storyline that will stretch throughout the whole company, but the creative team have decided to look for different talent in his role.
• As rumoured, my sources indicate that the TWF has reached out to CM Punk through his good friend Mr. BIG about a potential deal. Punk would rather stay in the United States, but the TWF is prepared to break the bank for who the deem "the hottest star not working for us at present". At Total Chaos last night, there were several agents and higher-ups involved in a meeting that ran close to show time about a potential new wrestler, but none were particularly talkative afterwards, leading many to believe a deal with Punk has stalled.
• Frekishi revealed on his Facebook page earlier this week that he has had career-ending surgery on his knee. Frekishi didn't state why the surgery came about, but it was the second surgery on the knee in as many years. Many TWF legends expressed sadness that Frekishi would no longer be able to wrestle, but all wished him the best in recovery and on his future, which remains with his motorsport engineering firm, which is doing tremendously well.
• Big Martin has also revealed in a shock move that he will be heading out to Australia to continue his career as a highly respected geologist. Martin had joined the TWF staff as a road agent in the past few months and his last date is expected to be Summer Break. Martin was loved by many of the big men in the TWF for helping with their fitness and workout routines and has got a lot of credit for helping the likes of Jackal, Riptide and Titan achieve their potential recently.
• There is no favourite venue as of yet for Summer Break XIII. The TWF is looking to hold the event in Wales once again it appears, but the company has been very underwhelmed with the bids on offer which is why there is unlikely to be an announcement of the venue at this year's event. The Millennium Stadium was the initial favourite, but there are fears that it would be too soon after the 2012 Olympics and the venue may not be ready for it.

THE INSIDE SCOOP with The Insider

• Justin Polaris and Rick Majors having a third match in their rivalry for the World Championship seems to be the internal favourite for the Summer Break main event this year. Plans on a potential Polaris/Nytro match have apparently been pushed back as some feel that the company would be stupid to not capitalise on the sensational match between Majors and Polaris at Easter HeAT. The second-to-last match is looking like being an Intercontinental Championship match between Matt Aish and The Avenger, with the World Tag Team Championship match just before that.
• The Chairman's Cup is looking likely to be dropped from Summer Break this year and held later on in the year. The TWF has decided to instead get all of the active roster on the card if and where they can in a different format this year, which may include the return of that TWF staple, the lumberjack match. There is also likely to be at least three Women's matches as the TWF looks to maximise the four hours they have allotted for the show.
• NJS announced today on Twitter that he had accepted a position as a director of an IT consultancy firm, which reaffirms the belief that his return at No Way BacK was indeed a farewell match. NJS is said to be very happy with his current lifestyle and that his new role will allow him to continue to be active and not "sit around all day". Whilst NJS has come in for criticism for leaving the TWF, those close to him have placed NJS's happiness over those of the fans, preferring the Irreplaceable Icon to be at peace with himself.
• There is talk that the TWF could be looking to reintroduce the Cruiserweight division in the coming months. Some feel that with the wealth of lightweight talent in the company such as Zero, Vinnie Maralini, Zack Daniels and Matt Aish, that the division would be able to carry itself well. One prominent board member did state though that he felt the All-Action Championship was supposed to be a Cruiserweight cum X-Division style division in all but name. The reason for this rumour surfacing, by the way, is the TWF wants to get Sin Nombre - the company's hot Mexican signing, over as quickly as possible to maximise the potential of the Mexican market and they feel this is the best way to do it.
• There could be a change to one championship coming: there is an increasing possibility that the TWF will introduce a "TV Time Limit" to the Television Championship matches, as a way of introducing new finishes to the company. One reasoning for the change is that the TWF was established during a time where time limits were not particularly important as wrestling provided an emphasis on entertainment. But the TWF wants to bring some athleticism back to the business and feels that a "TV Time Limit" could join the World Championship match introduction as something TWF diehards can reel off at will.
• The Avenger is someone that the TWF is definitely looking to capitalise on in the next few months and this was shown when he appeared on a highly entertaining interview to promote Against All Odds on a Phoenix-area radio station this week. One long-time TWF employee told me that "most of the TWF's big time main event heels have been conceited pricks who have been so awkward to work with. Avenger worked so hard to perfect his craft and the fact that everywhere outside of Dallas the crowd boos his name shows you how well he's worked". Avenger has also impressed those in power with the way he carries himself backstage and is always eager to find ways to improve.
• Rachael has apparently decided against signing a contract extension and looks to be leaving the company in the next few months. Rachael's departure will be felt as many feel, including myself, that Rachael helped bridge the gap from the classic TWF Women's division of it's heyday in 2002-2003, to the current division. She has also been angry with the further denigration of the female talent in her eyes. One source noted "if they could, there would be no Women's matches on the card as some of the morons on the board say they can't draw. The Women's division is quite lucky as they have one powerful supporter, and that's the guy in charge, who is pushing for them to get longer matches".
• Crash Rogers and Ron Lindberg have been considered "breaths of fresh air" since their returns to the company as road agents. The two, former TWF wrestlers and more importantly, wrestling devotees, have been a big reason why the TWF product is the strongest it has ever been. Former TWF 2000-era wrestler Matthew D. Jones has also been contributing to the team when he has input. There is also rumours that due to him being seen around TWF Towers lately that Big Martin could also be a part of the booking team.
• The TWF has confirmed internally that the reality game show concept is being approved and will air on Sky One between September and November. Filming will begin just after Summer Break. Marz has been pencilled in as the host, with some quietly believing he could be the one to carry the format. Initially, the trainers are looking like being Jean Claude Van Slam, Deadman with The Asylum's head trainer Wayne Morris also appearing in a lesser role at his own request. Libra is looking to be the show's female trainer and the big question that those behind the show have is whether the females should compete alongside the males, or whether they will have their own competition.
• TWF Women's Division legend, Cerys (better known as Atomically Kool Kat to old-school TWF fans) has announced that she plans to retire after the upcoming PCW event, "Dirty Deeds" this weekend. For much of her career, she was considered to be the best wrestler in her family… which includes eldest brother, Mr. Edwards and elder brother Mr. BIG. However, AKK has decided to retire and concentrate on her planned career since her childhood, teaching, and has accepted a challenge for a final match in PCW. Cerys is said to be happy with the way it has turned out but has promised an incredible surprise for her final match, which is a scheduled tag team bout between her mystery partner (who many expect to be Mr. Edwards) against former TWF talent Aled Davies and his long-time manager, Amy.
• The first major expansion for TWF Unleashed will be released prior to Summer Break. Whilst the company has been adding the most recent pay‐per‐view sets shortly after the pay‐per‐views, the new expansion will add two new paths in the game's story mode (one centres on Mastermind, the other is an innovative path surrounding the Entourage) as well as the revived RWF arena and selected RWF roster members attire. The expansion after that is looking like being a long awaited XCW-featured release (which is due to contract negotiations being delayed), with the company hoping for the Devil's Den match to be added sometime soon, as the game's developers have stated on their blog that they are close to figuring out their problems. By extension, they have also announced that once the Devil's Den match is in, they will make sure that WarGames is also enabled. The "arcade" game, set to be titled TWF Brawl, is looking like being released in October, with the first commercial set to air during Summer Break as things stand.

• The plan for Ryan Jenkins to leave the TWF was crafted as a result of what happened at Deadly MindGames and his behaviour as a result. Prior to Mr. BIG showing the ironic footage of Siân's actions, a rumour that was eventually confirmed by sources backstage was that Siân broke up with Ryan after Deadly MindGames for the period they were off television and their romance was only rekindled at a similar point. Had the original plans fallen through, Mr. BIG would have lost the Ambulance match (without the Loser Leaves Town stipulation explicitly but it would be suggested) to return at Total Chaos to setup a match at Summer Break. If Biggie chooses return, there are two plans on the table for him: a re-match with Blade putting both men's Summer Break streaks on the line, or a match against Eric Herrera is also being mooted.
• There are reports linking a TWF legend with an appearance on the game show, Strictly Come Dancing, in the autumn although the conflicting reports state the position to be between Marz and NJS. Marz has planned his first major vacation for mid-Summer with his close family according to my source, so this leaves NJS as the possibility. My source told me: "NJS saw Chris Jericho do the show and figured that he could impress more than a few people if he appears on the show". In related news, Hawke has dropped hints that he would like to be considered for a role on ITV's reality program, I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! but those close to the program state he is not a big enough name.
• Staying with Marz, the reality television concept the TWF is floating around at the moment has pencilled in Marz as the host of the program, with Asylum head trainer Wayne Morris acting as the program's coordinator. The plan appears to be for a Tough Enough-style program, but with less of an emphasis on the "gimmicky" challenges and "life lessons" and more emphasis on creating all round performers. The TWF is not sure whether to use new, but high potential Asylum students or more experienced students who would skip the next step of PWC and head straight to main roster off the momentum of the victory. The TWF is also considering placing an open casting call and audition for performers in the next few weeks, possibly whilst Mr. BIG is back in the country for a short while, to see the plans. The apparent finale would involve all of the shows trainers and staff meeting Mr. BIG for a final evaluation before Biggie reveals the show's winner, but this is all ideas at present.
• The company has reached out to a number of former stars who might be interested in being trainers for the show. Among the names who have been contacted are Deadman, Frekishi, High Voltage, Jean Claude Van Slam, Ottobomb and The Vamp. There are also expected to be roles, should they ask, for the two wrestlers-turned-road agents on the company's roster; Crash Rogers and Ron Lindberg. There is likely to be two contests, splitting the genders in two. Libra has expressed an interest in acting as the show's female trainer.
• The TWF has already announced it's intention to get at least one musical performer at Summer Break, alongside the singing of the anthem. It's looking likely that the TWF will hold back on revealing the primary theme song for the event until they can confirm that the act will be at the Superdome to perform the song. The reaction to the commercial that aired on Sunday has been overwhelmingly positive and the company is openly admitting that they are anticipating a sell-out for the show.
• In an interview with Canadian-based program, Right After Wrestling, Mr. BIG has dropped a hint that the TWF could return to Canada in the near future. I can reveal that negotiations are on-going for the TWF to take the big show to the country next year. Although BC Place Stadium is a venue the TWF wanted to look at, it is expected that the former SkyDome (now known as Rogers Centre) will host Summer Break next year. The city of Toronto have bid on the event after missing out on WrestleMania and feel Summer Break is the only event that could come close to filling the void. The TWF is keeping it's options open, with Cowboys Stadium in Dallas apparently bidding along with the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and FedEx Field in Washington D.C. the leading US contenders, whilst the Millennium Stadium and Bridgend Dome are looking the likely hosts for a home event.
• Mr. Edwards conducted a rare interview with Real Radio this week and revealed that his one regret in wrestling was not getting into the ring enough. Edwards stated that he would have liked to step out of his board room role (which he revealed was originally intended for his father, but he decided against it) and to team-up with his brother at some point. After his back and shoulder surgery a few years ago, Edwards has said he could never be a full-time wrestler again and is happy being a police officer, but feels he is still in good enough shape for him to possibly have one last match "just so I can finally shut the book on it".
• The Terminator has recently become reactive on his Twitter account and has been tweeting some stories about his TWF and XCW days. Terminator has dealt with some health issues in the past few years but looks in good shape. He admits to have lost touch with some of his closest friends in the business lately, but hopes to change that with his internet activity. Dougie Christian was interviewed in a leading car magazine about his life as a pro wrestler and his experiences with his car repair business. Christian admitted in the interview that his former partner in the business, former TWF World Champion, AJ Jeffers, sold his share to the business around a year ago and is rarely seen, but DC fears that AJ might have fallen onto the wrong path, cryptically stating that Jeffers hasn't been the same man since the TWF closed in 2005.

• Despite the TWF's Twittersphere blowing up on Wednesday as a result of Matt Aish losing the Television Championship, it is *NOT* a result of a contract dispute or failed drugs test. At last night's Fury, it became clear to the wrestlers that Aish has returned home from the tour to deal with a family issue. Whilst some are drawing parallels with what happened to The Shott late last year, the difference is Aish gave the TWF plenty of notice that he would leave the tour at some point to return home and the TWF set plans in motion to explain his absence. Aish would not be in the dog house, even if he was not considered one of Mr. BIG's students.
• It does appear at this time that the Loser Leaves Town stipulation added to the BIG-Ryan Jenkins match next Sunday is a way of writing Mr. BIG out of television to promote his book. In a Canadian radio interview which aired this week, Biggie stated that he is not at 100% with his career as a result of the feud with Jenkins. Biggie has told those close to him that he feels as though he's "lost his way" over the past few months and wants to take some time away to recoup. However, I also feel that touring Texas, where Sophie grew-up and Biggie spent some time getting to know, is also playing on Biggie's emotions, as many just as he was "getting over her, he ends up heading to her part of the world". I've also been told had things worked out differently, Sophie would have returned at the end of the Ryan Jenkins program "to ride out into the sunset with Biggie", but that idea never came to fruition.
• However, the other reason that Mr. BIG may want to leave for is the news that broke in the past few days of an impending XWF revival. The Bandit has contacted several people that he would like to be a part of a revived XWF, which he feels will be far superior to his preferred format in 2001. Mr. BIG has agreed to join and is excited to see what happens. There is no news of whether NJS will be involved as he and The Bandit have rarely spoken over the past few years.
• The increased awareness of the TWF over the next few weeks is a direct result of the failure to sell-out Cowboys Stadium for Easter HeAT. Whilst much of the TWF is tremendously proud of the size of the crowd, there are a number of people who were devastated to come so short and felt that the TWF's promotion on a national level failed them. To compare, there are roughly the same percent of tickets sold for The Gold Card as Easter HeAT and the TWF want to see if it sells out.
• The reality television concept I mentioned in the last dispatch is, to the surprise of many, looking like going ahead. The TWF has apparently started a campaign encouraging potential cast members to send in an audition tape to an address at TWF Towers, where they will be whittled down. No further information has yet been discussed, but Sky are looking to give the potential show a Tuesday prime time slot. Their initial idea was to use it as a Grit BasH lead-in, but the TWF decided against it.
• Radio advertisements in the Phoenix area are promoting a new match type to be débuted at Against All Odds in the TWF World Championship match. The understanding is that the TWF has decided to introduce the much-talked about TECW Prison of Pain to a TWF audience but under a different name - as plenty of people when pitching the idea got confused between the TWF's own signature match-type, the House of Pain, and the Prison of Pain. The Thunderdome is the current name that the concept is going under. Two other concepts were also discussed - the Hell's Motel match that was supposed to be the King of Xtreme final in 2006 was floated but deemed "too extreme" in the current environment, whilst a Prison Break match was also suggested - a Punjabi Prison match but with steel and barbed wire instead of bamboo. The Prison Break match was considered a possibility for the future, so keep your ears peeled for that one.

• Ticket sales for Easter HeAT have been good and the TWF is quietly optimistic that they could achieve a sell out of Cowboys Stadium, making it the first wrestling promotion in history to get an attendance of 100,000+ in two consecutive pay‐per‐views. There is a feeling that the TWF will have to work to get the final tickets sold, but the company is hoping that they can do so based upon the build-up to the key matches heading into the event.
• Some backstage have been talking up the Justin Polaris/Rick Majors match at Easter HeAT as being one of the greatest of all-time. The two have spoken at length backstage about how they were worried about their first match at Deadly MindGames and how it followed what happened to Mr. BIG, as the duo asked Biggie to watch their match from behind the curtain to add his perspective. Biggie has spoken to both after they asked for his input and the ideas for the match are a closely guarded secret, but all three men say it will be worthy of the main event status at the event.
• Sky have apparently turned to the TWF to develop a reality television concept that will either air over the summer or autumn months. There is a feeling that if a TWF reality show airs over the summer, it will likely feature PWC talent as they get ready to progress to the main TWF roster, whilst an autumn series would follow the developments of new intakes of Asylum graduates and their possible progress through the TWF ladder. Sky are hoping for a Tough Enough/Ultimate Fighter style show, but the TWF doesn't seem too keen on that idea. For the record, there was a plan for a reality program based on the RWF called Living the Dream in 2004 which would see a group of wrestlers taken through the RWF's old training facility, The Wranch, with the winner of the show getting an xWa Developmental contract, as there was a plan for the xWa promotions to eventually share a development system which never materialised. One edition of the xWa Magazine featured the concept, but as the RWF was remoulded in 2005, it never happened.
• The TWF has also decided that it will air Grit BasH and Fury at midnight in the UK during the West Coast swing of the US tour. The decision was made to maximise local attendance, which the company's financial division wants to point out is the drive behind the tour, with almost every single date announced thus far selling out very quickly. The feeling is that some fans will be used to staying up to watch professional wrestling and will therefore continue to do so, although one noted higher-up was noted as saying that "if Sky wants an excuse to get rid of us now, they just have to point to us throwing away ratings points… we have to promote the encores just as much as the live showings now."
• For those interested in such matters, most of the TWF's back room staff are not joining the tour. Most of the creative team were given the option to stay in Wales and communicate via phone, e-mail or voice-over IP, which they took and so far there have been no problems. One or two members of the team have flown out to be there to deal with in-person issues. Also to point out, Mr. BIG chairs the writing/creative meetings, but often does not contribute ideas at the moment.
• There is a push within the company towards the TWF having "higher concept" feuds over the next few months to try and bring in new viewers. One of the creative team members was quoted as being tired of feuds being raised for similar reasons, so suggested that the TWF look differently at new ways of getting people over. One long rumoured storyline was mentioned and Mr. BIG apparently said that the time for it maybe soon.
• The King of the Ring tournament will be booked differently this year. The TWF feels that the Gold Card tournament has taken the place of the KOTR tourney as the elite tournament in the company and is going to try a different format with the long established tournament this year. The two formats being considered are a Round Robin league between eight wrestlers, with the top four advancing to a finals tournament, whilst the second idea, championed by some of the wrestlers, is where two leagues of four wrestlers compete, the top four from each league advance with the wrestler with the best overall record gaining the chance to pick their opponent for their semi final.
• Bill Hansen is said to be "disappointed" with how his rehabilitation from injury has curtailed his TWF progress. Hansen told a radio station in Dallas that he was injured sometime in November and cannot pinpoint exactly how he was injured, but did state that he separated his shoulder in a similar manner to Mr. BIG in 2003. However, as he was nearing full fitness, he aggravated the injury during a weights session at The Asylum and is still not wrestling at totally 100%, hence his limited television involvement. Hansen noted that he would like to wrestle as much as he could as it's his passion and he wants to improve himself, feeling the only way to do that is to wrestle as much as he can. Hansen also said in the interview that he initially hated his character in PWC, but grew to like it over time as Mr. BIG and Lewis Kingston, his two closest friends (and trainers) told him it would get him to "his level" the quickest. Hansen admits that he does have a character inspired by his hero, the Undertaker, that he wants to introduce someday, but admits that he will wait for it to emerge.

• NJS's appearance at No Way BacK was such a closely guarded secret that only Mr. BIG, Blade and Mike Haggar knew about it. Mr. BIG went to extra lengths to make sure the surprise was not let out and he was thrilled that there were no rumours about his return, with his plan of using Marz as a decoy working perfectly. Bryan Daniels revealed in this week's Hot Shot Podcast that on the show run-down, Marz was put in as BIG's tag team partner, showing the lengths Biggie went to make sure that his surprise was kept until the very last moment. Louise was contacted earlier in the week about making an appearance and to the surprise of the uninformed, was cordial with her ex-boyfriend NJS and his wife, Lucy Rose.
• There is a feeling that the match could have been NJS's very last. There are some who have given NJS a knock for his relationship with Lucy Rose has been perceived to many of the wrestlers (they feel that Lucy keeps NJS on a short leash) and he refuses to stand-up for himself when he needs to. Lucy has been outspoken about not having NJS wrestling anymore and NJS told one person who asked him on Sunday night that he has other things going on, so wrestling is not a priority at the moment. The deal for the XCW Video Library has meant that NJS is financially set for life and he is often quoted as saying that he would only return if his heart was in it.
• The TWF is looking at hiring some former wrestlers who still have an interest in the product as road agents. Crash Rogers has been working as a agent since around November and was considered a breath of fresh air, as many of the previous road agents, whilst being long-time fans, were not trained wrestlers and therefore could not explain some things very well. TWF 2000-era talent, Matthew (D) Jones recently had a try-out that went down very well and could join the team before the US tour kicks off in two weeks.
• Ryan Jenkins still has what can only be described as "nuclear" heat with the talent for his actions at Deadly MindGames. The original plans for his feud with Biggie have been drastically re-written and Jenkins's agreement was adjusted. Many in the locker room consider it karma - "he got parachuted in for a big feud, but like the past, managed to make such a mess from it that someone who deserved his shot will profit from it".
• Mr. BIG's book has been pushed back a month to May, simply as Biggie wanted to be able to book signings timed with the release of the book and felt he would not be able to do that during April. Only a handful of people have read the manuscript and all those who have read it state it is a superb account of Biggie's life with some shocking twists and turns, particularly regarding his earlier wrestling days. Since Deadly MindGames it has been noted that Biggie has been very isolated and for the first time in many years, travels to events alone, which is extremely uncharacteristic of him.
• Changes are on the horizon for some of the TWF's highlights programs. Sky feel that showing Overload on their Freeview channel, Pick TV (formerly Sky Three), so soon after the initial airing on Sky One takes away from their initial audience, whilst the TWF feels that it draws in more viewers (and subscribers for Sky). There is some talk that the TWF Saturday block on Channel Five, which is in desperate need of ratings, could return, with Meltdown kicking things off, then a re-tooled Time-Out possibly following it.
• Reaction to the re-designed TWF World Championship belt was not as positive as many would have liked and the TWF has cancelled plans to re-design it's other championships. Many fans felt that the prestige of the old belt, and it being the same one held by all of the TWF's legends, added to the stigma of the strap. The Television Championship was expected to be re-designed, but it remains to be seen if a new belt is introduced.
• Bill Hansen is reportedly still struggling with an injury picked up in his match against Titan at PayBacK. Hansen was expected to be one of the new big names that the TWF wanted to focus around in the near future, but his injury and a rehab that went very slowly has put a hold on that. A source in the creative team tells me that Hansen was initially pitched to be in the Cavalry, but his spot was taken by Victor Ortega.
• Eyebrows were raised when PCW revealed that their new announce team was Michael King, former TWF announcer and his partner was former TWF wrestler, Ron Lindberg. However, the biggest surprise was the duo's immediate success and the chemistry that they had. One wrestler who watched clips of PCW's Redemption event on YouTube said "I'll bet the production were surprised that those two guys worked well together… and kicked themselves for not doing anything about it". In related news, Scott Hudson has insisted that he intends to see-out his contract, which finishes in September. Kyle Richards, who has begun appearing as the chief play‐by‐play voice of PWC, is now looked as the favourite to land the role permanently when Hudson leaves, but Mr. Smooth is still in the conversation.
• Owen Carl is rumoured to be considering his position and leave the company after Summer Break. One of the longest tenured TWF employees, Carl feels that he has achieved as much as he could and wants to move on. The TWF is already looking at bringing a new managerial figure in his place. At the moment, many in the booking team that Jeremy Ellington Jenner is the only successor, but he possesses an attitude that needs changing first, with no stand-out male manager in PWC they feel that could step into Carl's place.

• It remains to be seen what, if any, effect Ryan Jenkins's assault on Mr. BIG will have regarding him in the near future. Since the incident at Deadly MindGames, several pieces of information have come to light which are summarised below:
* The closing of the match was for Jenkins to force Mr. BIG to submit to a Triangle Choke somewhere in the marina and for Jenkins to then send Mr. BIG flying into a moored boat before leaving him laying. Jenkins however told Siân before the match started that he "wanted to see what he could get away with" and after legitimately knocking Mr. BIG unconscious, used the rope mooring one of the boats the TWF wanted to use during the match to almost choke Biggie.
* The rumours of a locker room mutiny are true. The Assassin and Mastermind managed to get each of the TWF's signed talent to attend an informal meeting in-front of some of the TWF Board Members prior to the show on Wednesday and told them of their feelings that Jenkins should be fired. The Board then ultimately revealed Jenkins was signed to a hefty contract (which came as a surprise to everyone) and the locker room asked if Biggie knew about the signing. Incredibly it emerged that Biggie had no part in signing Jenkins and was only aware of it when the board told him.
* Biggie's injuries were not as serious as many expected them to be, which lead to a sigh of relief in TWF Towers. BIG has not been seen outside of his house at all since the event, and it is largely suspected that he is resting. There is no indication that he holds Jenkins responsible for his actions, but there is some expectation that "Jenkins will have to get what's coming to him whether he likes it or not".
* The original plan for the storyline was for Mr. BIG to lose a Loser Leaves TWF match at Easter HeAT, promote the forthcoming release of "When the Crowds are Gone", then return in time for Summer Break to probably face Jenkins in a match, where Jenkins would actually be the one to end Mr. BIG's undefeated streak, giving him enough momentum to defeat Tobias Granville for the TWF World Title at PayBack. However, this rough draft was completely re-written after the event and it now remains to be seen what happens as the TWF had high hopes that a reformed Jenkins would actually become the company's biggest heel and a natural foil for Granville.
* Siân did uncharacteristically write on her Facebook page on Tuesday following DMG that she was feeling incredibly sorry for Biggie and his injuries, hoping he would get well soon. Siân's agent also knows the price of a Biggie return. It is a well-known fact that Siân's agent is driven by the money to be made from exploiting the past between the three people in this triangle and he encouraged Jenkins and Siân to sign with the TWF for this reason. Siân still employs the same agent, for those keeping score.
* Back in PCW, it's roster are having nothing to do with the feud, but my sources in their locker room want Jenkins to do well as they feel that the stronger a "PCW guy" looks in the TWF will further their credibility when the TWF eventually buys the company, which PCW will consider as the ultimate victory as it would mean the TWF acknowledging it's existence.
• Frekishi stopped by at the March 4 edition of Fury along with former TWF stars The Fox, Jon Bennetta and Aaron Hill. Frekishi was blissfully unaware of Biggie's injuries, but when he was made aware, he sent a text to Biggie, which was received warmly. Frekishi offered many sound bytes for those who listened in, especially regarding NJS, who he noted he "hadn't seen in an even longer time than Marz [a man with whom Frekishi had a legitimate issue with for many years]", a sign of how far the two friends had fallen out of touch. Hill was said to be in high spirits after the results of the Welsh referendum came in. Hill has become a prominent face in the Welsh labour party since leaving the wrestling business and is looked at by many as being a legitimate political mover.
• With TWF Unleashed finally hitting stores, there is talk of an NBA Jam-style game entitled "Brawl" being made available soon. Biggie apparently pitched the idea of "NBA Jam… but with TWF tag teams" at the TWF Games and was surprised to receive an e-mail two weeks later inviting him to see initial storyboards and character art that became the talk of TWF Towers. Development was green lighted at the TWF board meeting yesterday and there is some initial optimism that the game could release very soon as much of the work regarding developing an engine for the game has already been done.
• The feeling that the TWF needs to expand it's roster to appeal internationally has not been lost. An exciting young luchador, currently called "No Name" has just arrived into PWC and his initial match clips look extremely promising, with one PWC trainer claiming that his style reminds him of the WCW Cruiserweight division at it's peak. The TWF's scouting network is being expanded slightly and there is a feeling that some European talent will be looked at whilst the company tours there later this year.
• There are plans being made to bring back the TWF Hall of Fame. The current plans see a Hall of Fame induction ceremony being held the night before No Way BacK, with the legends being introduced during the event. The big concern however is how to handle those who have entered the Hall. Many want the slate wiped clean of inductees and for the TWF to start again, but, the route currently favoured is for the company to simply "re-honour" previous inductees through the years, with their own inductions and speeches. The two-year rule, which was never actually enforced in it's previous iteration, will be more strictly guarded this time.
• Reaction to the return of the TWF Discussion Forums has taken the TWF by the surprise, with it dominating the trending topics on Twitter, with many fans delighted and pointing out that the TWF again listens to it's fans. The TWF was the subject of a well-written article in one of the Sunday papers two weeks ago about it's use of Twitter and how the TWF has used it to it's full power, noting the integration that the TWF has with social media and stating "the UK's sports leagues need only look to professional wrestling on how to engage a young and growing audience into appreciating your product".

THE INSIDE SCOOP with The Insider
Reported on: February 8, 2011

• Big news out of the TWF Board Room this week was that there are going to be two significant one-off pay‐per‐view shows in the next two years. As expected, Mr. BIG and NJS are already making plans for an XCW reunion show in 2012, likely to be in mid-October to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of that promotion's establishment. The second show is allegedly an XWF reunion later on this year. Mr. BIG has tweeted former XWF stalwarts The Bandit, JT Money and Overnight Male about the possibility of a show as it's 10 years in September since the company was founded. The fact that the TWF's XWF reunion (One Wild Night in 2007) is not being discussed is a sign of how it was perceived by much of the talent (largely as it was organised by the TWF). Biggie, Bandit and Overnight have already started throwing ideas around for the show, which they hope will bottle the XWF in one night much better than the 2007 attempt.
• Although it hasn't been mentioned yet, the big news about the TWF's pay‐per‐views that is being teased is that the TWF is looking to drop to 10 pay‐per‐views a year, as they were rumoured to do around two years ago. The talk is that both December and January's pay‐per‐views will end in 2011, with the TWF instead doing an XCW-style End of Year one-off program in late December instead. The Time Crisis match is expected to be moved to either the May pay‐per‐view or Against All Odds. There is also talk that it could mean an extended break for all talent, although noted veterans are against the move as they feel any absence from new programming of longer than three weeks would kill any momentum unless there are taped shows in Bridgend at the end of a calendar year. Considerable talk was also given to dropping pay‐per‐view prices instead to make them more affordable, but this was not given a good reception as some feel it would hurt the TWF's overall bottom line much more.
• The reception to the launch of Sky's new Sky Atlantic channel was interesting among TWF execs as it was noted that Sky spent a lot of money to promote the channel. The TWF's marketing gurus (consistently rated among the best in their field) are constantly being given the cold shoulder by Sky's executives despite the company's success. One prominent TWF Board Member who deals with some members of the Sky hierarchy on an infrequent basis is quoted as saying "Ask them what their highest rated programs are and I guarantee you that none of them think there's a wrestling show on their network." Reaction to TNA moving to the Challenge network, which now as a Freeview presence has been muted as the TWF is waiting a few weeks to see if it makes any difference. There is some worry that TNA being marketed as the only wrestling on Freeview could take away some TWF viewers, but this is not expected to be a significant chunk of the TWF's audience.
• This year's Easter HeAT host is again looking like the favourite to host the next edition of Summer Break. Cowboys Stadium, fresh from hosting Super Bowl XLV just days ago, is being lined up to host the show, although the TWF is monitoring the issue of temporary seating with some urgency. The TWF has released tickets for Easter HeAT this year in stages as they don't feel confident of getting anywhere a near sell-out, but wanted to run the event to see how the fan base in that area would respond. Although Cowboys Stadium is considered the front runner, other potential candidates include a renovated Citrus Bowl in Orlando; the Georgia Dome in Atlanta; Reliant Stadium in Houston; B.C. Place Stadium in Vancouver; Rogers Centre in Toronto (although that depends on whether it hosts WrestleMania next year, as speculated) or even the Los Angeles Coliseum. Surprisingly there is no talk of Wembley Stadium - likely given as a result of holding an event in London after the 2012 Olympics - although there are whispers of the Bridgend Dome or Millennium Stadium playing host.
• Remarkably, none of this year's Summer Break line-up is set in stone as of yet. At this point in the post-hiatus TWF in most years, the main event match-ups have already been pencilled in. However, the TWF is going remarkably short-term on it's booking this year, largely due to there being as many big "draws" on the show this year. The talk is that with the newer wrestlers not connecting as well with fans as well as the old names, that some outside involvement will be needed to sell the show. The two names being given serious talk is that MVP (who is close friends with Mr. BIG as a result of being a Manchester United fan) coming in to work a program with Connor Kelly and in a program that was originally planned almost three years earlier, Steve Corino has been contacted to show up and have an Old School vs. New School match-up.
• I was contacted by a reader who asked on the status of some lesser mentioned TWF legends and their current whereabouts. Deadman is happily retired and enjoying life with his wife, Ms. Sweet and growing son - Deadman saved his money from his last big TWF run and has told friends that he's "financially set for life" and is undecided on what to do with himself these days. The TWF did plan to release a Box Set of his matches in 2009, but it was pushed back and as of yet, has not been released. The AshTaker was spotted by fans lately and allegedly has closed the business he has run since leaving the TWF, putting some people out of work (notably one or two former XCW employees who joined him). No word as yet of his next plans. Wadlan, a member of the Revolution faction in the TWF 2000 days who had a great World Heavyweight Championship match with Mr. BIG, has been signed up by a county cricket side - his cricketing prowess was the reason he left the company in 2000. Hawke, who has not been seen in almost two years, resurfaced this week in an interview in a London magazine and did not mention his wrestling past, which disappointed some who feel a Boxset of his matches and promos would sell well.
• Sophie has apparently changed her Facebook status to in a relationship, to that with a likable young chap from Preston, where she has set-up her graphic fashion business. Mr. BIG was questioned about this development a lot over the past week, so much so that at the pre-Fury wrestlers meeting, he told the talent "You are probably aware that the one that got away is in a relationship in the gospel according to Facebook. My blessing was not required for this, nor did it need to be, Sophie is allowed to live her own life and she loves this new chap, then I am thrilled for her". BIG is getting back to the introspective phase that he was in when Sophie was not at his side in late-2009 many say, which does not bode well for his mental wellbeing it is said. Mr. BIG did however mention that he was given an offer that would achieve a childhood dream of his - a two hour radio show, likely to be on a Saturday evening, for Nation Radio.
• Justin Polaris is being established as the company's go-to-guy for mainstream press interviews. Whilst Mr. BIG's appearance on Alan Carr's program two weeks ago was extremely well received, Polaris is being lined-up over the coming weeks to do the talk show circuit on both television and radio, with many confident that his personality will get him further over as a smarmy heel. In contrast to Polaris's personality, the TWF is looking for a babyface to step up into the role as main protagonist and at the moment, Tobias Granville could be that man, with one noted commentator stating that "of the young Biggie-lites the TWF has, he's probably got the most potential of anyone that they've built-up lately".
• The TWF Discussion Forums could return. With many feeling that Facebook, Twitter and YouTube rendered the near-decade home of all things TWF moot, there is still a considerable number of people who want it to return, with large numbers of former members contacting the TWF daily attempting to re-open the forums. It is anticipated that should the forums return it would be without missing a beat, but that some things would change in an effort for the company to keep up with the times.

• The return of Ryan Jenkins has already caused some serious discussion backstage amongst those outside the main event, angry that a man with his reputation has been re-hired for a program with the biggest star in the company's history. There is also a very strong rumour that Jenkins will appear in tow with Siân, which has already got all of the women backstage to bury any hatchets between them to complain that Siân is also being parachuted in. I have spoken to a source close to the story and they have told me that Jenkins is being brought in whilst those below are being built up for bigger programs. There is also a story, yet to be proven, that Jenkins is not being paid by the TWF but by Biggie as part of his rehab from drug addiction and bringing Siân on the road will help him.
• Mr. BIG was very happy with his match with Mike Haggar and praised him for his excellent in-ring work. Haggar is expected to be given a shine in the Genesis storyline as many higher-ups within the company feel he could be a tremendous monster heel in the coming years. Biggie and Haggar also had a little fun with their NFL teams playing each other at the weekend, and Biggie dropped a reference to it as he appeared backstage, which Haggar got a kick out of. BIG also suggested that Ryan Jenkins appear in the black hoodies at ringside during his match, a nod to his past as a member of the group. Jenkins had not portrayed the figure seen in the hallways behind Biggie before hand - in actual fact they were portrayed by both Jaydan Gabriel and Isaac Dyer.
• Many people backstage were happy that Justin Polaris won the Time Crisis match and is finally being given a chance with the World Championship. After his performance in the Time Crisis match, Polaris spent almost an hour after the match being congratulated by those on the roster for his hard work, keeping his head down whilst he wasn't winning championships and knowing that his moment will come. Polaris is at the moment pencilled in for a good reign with the championship.
• The Assassin and Mastermind were also praised for their work in the opening match and doing an excellent job of making Sam Allen and Sebastian Gross look like formidable opponents, despite the size disadvantage. The Dangerous Alliance team are among the locker room leaders behind Biggie, who has an obvious conflict of interest in board room matters, but the 3 are deemed the most experienced and approachable guys on the roster.
• NJS has apparently some serious issues with those in management, which explains his absence from the TWF at the moment. NJS was angry that despite being one of the most profitable champions in TWF history and when The Shott told the company he would not be the long-term champion they were expecting him to be, they still took the title away from him, instead of keeping it on him and putting him in a different feud. After losing the championship at Dangerously Serious, NJS was inconsolable, especially after only Assassin, Mastermind and Biggie would approach him afterwards to ask him how he felt. BIG expressed serious thanks for helping carry the company and apologised for not helping him out, but the two then quickly devised the way to get NJS written off TV. With NJS seemingly enjoying life at home and also deciding to concentrate on finishing a degree, like Marz, he may have wrestled his final match.
• The decision to début some of the latest PWC graduates in Pencoed was expressed as a good call due to the familiarity of some members of the crowd. The hope was for the home audience to realise that the crowd recognised these PWC guys and would help get them over. The litmus test will only come after the TWF leaves the Bridgend area and live crowds adapt to those new wrestlers themselves. There is a good feeling amongst those call-ups however. Isaac Dyer is perhaps considered the best prospect due to his unique look and laid-back personality.
• Redesigning the TWF World Championship belt was a decision made due to the TWF wanting to hold a copyright for the design and be able to produce the belts for a market. The other belt designs are all TWF originals and the company holds the copyright for them. The old belt may be reproduced as a "retro" belt, but that would likely come back when the "retro" shows do, which could be a little while.

• A rumour that Channel 4 - and E4 - are looking to bring TWF programs to their channel have got many people talking online about a potential deal. The channel last broadcast wrestling in 2001 when it had a deal for 4 pay‐per‐views and Sunday Night HeAT with the then WWF. The main concern would again fall on what would happen to the pay‐per‐views, as many feel that Sky are key to any TWF financial success, despite their seeming ignorance of the TWF when advertising their network.
• The plan for Mr. BIG is to be involved in a major feud with a figure from his past, which will be revealed shortly and have that span most of 2011. One internet columnist is already predicting that Mr. BIG retires for good in 2011, although this columnist does not reckon that to be the case. BIG has begun to publicly say that he is not at ease with the board room issues at the present time, but history shows that the passage of time is often kind to Biggie's decisions and it may further his already incredible standing with members of the board.
• Speculation is that the original plan for the Devil's Den match was for it to end the Entourage stable. However, this was changed to simply Alexis losing her position as Commish due to some feeling that the Entourage still has some legs to run. It is speculated that one of it's members turn face to set-up the angle, which would then run for the rest of the year.
• NJS is not expected to appear on TWF TV in the near future. It is rumoured that NJS (and his wife Lucy) were unhappy with what was planned with him and wanted time away to consider his position. NJS and Lucy are happily married but looking to start a family and possibly move out of wrestling all together, following the same path that Marz forged last year. Speaking of Marz, he is already considering selling his famous old house (the same one he has lived in almost all of his life) and ready to move abroad with Michelle as his architecture firm begins to expand beyond the UK.
• Several former TWF superstars were spotted backstage at PayBacK due to it being the final pay‐per‐view of the year and in the Bridgend area. Big Martin was seen speaking to Mr. BIG, minus his own beard, although the two have bet on whose can grow the longest; Frekishi was seen in good shape once more; Lewis Kingston, Aaron Hill, Hulmes, Joey Davies and Jon Bennetta were seen to be enjoying the traditional free bar at the post-show party in Bridgend.
• Blade posted an update on his website that confirmed that he had spoken to his brother High Voltage over the Christmas period and that the two were on good standing. There remains a long-standing suspicion that the two were not on speaking terms for a number of years as Blade was quick to change the subject when HV's name was raised. Voltage also had a chance meeting with Mr. BIG in a local supermarket over Christmas and the two were very cordial, with Biggie telling HV that he has a business proposition or two that he wants Voltage to be a part of. BIG posted on his own Twitter account that he was looking over some old High Voltage matches and said "I'm sure there's a DVD or three in there somewhere", with him then stating that the reaction to that comment was overwhelmingly positive.
• There is now a plan that the TWF will try to do away with completely unannounced returns over the next few months. One noted creative board member stated the case that if they build up a return, it will draw a big rating for the whole show as people wait for the returnee to appear, whilst if there is an unannounced return, it may pop a rating for that segment, but not the whole show. Several people on the creative board were noted for stating that they wanted to keep the element of total surprise in professional wrestling, but with Facebook, Twitter and YouTube finding it difficult to do so.
