The show started with a short introductory sequence, which showed the course of the feud between Mr. BIG and The AshTaker.
Suddenly, 'Prayer' by Disturbed blasted over the PA as the stage was set alight with colour and splendour. We then looked around at the sold out Cefn Cribwr Community Centre as the crowd hold up their signs and cheer. Jim Ross is joined by Jerry 'The King' Lawler at ringside and comment on tonight's main event, a Tables, Ladders, Cell Match for the TWF World Championship. And as if that isn't enough, we will find out who the next King of the Ring is!
Talking of King of the Ring, Brownie's music hits and it looks like the first of our qualifiers is about to get underway! Making his way to the ring is Brownie himself, who is here fighting Sumo Samurai for the honour of being King of the Ring! BANG! 'Big Man' smashes over the PA and the crowd cheers as Sumo Samurai, the TWF European Champion makes his way to the ring.
King of the Ring Semifinal 1
Brownie vs. Sumo Samurai
Both men lock up with Sumo gaining a superior advantage over the far smaller Brownie. Brownie uses his speed to drag Sumo to the mat. The match wasn't a quick one, lasting well over 20 minutes. It came to an abrupt end when Blonde Man came down to the ring and nailed Sumo Samurai with a Steel Chair and Brownie nailing a huge Karate Kick to Sumo. 1‐2‐3.
Winner: Brownie
(Advances to KOTR Finals)
Backstage is where we are headed now, where Mr. BIG is standing by next to Lita. Mr. BIG says he has someone very special to introduce to everyone. It's not his kid, or Marz's kid, but The AshTaker! Suddenly, a midget dressed in AshTaker attire (Mini-AshTaker?) appears saying The AshTaker's catchphrases and doing all his mannerisms! The midget ends by saying "Long may you AshTaker, rest in peace… JACKASS!". The crowd cheered at this and the skit even has JR laughing!
JR says that it isn't a laughing matter tonight, when the King of Xtreme Match takes place. JR re-iterates the rules: barbed wire ropes, tables surrounding the ring, petroleum around the ring, and a variety of weapons. However, JR says that a new stipulation has been added as soon as 30 minutes ago, The match is now for the TWF Xtreme Championship, which has been reintroduced!
We now cut to a special feature, entitled ‐ Passion: Marz. The fans go ape when they discover that this is an update segment on Marz's injury. Marz is sitting in his wheelchair and says he wishes that he could be in the arena so he could take part in the TWF King of Xtreme Match. However, he has asked his buddy The Shott to go out there and win the title. He also wishes Big Bob Basher luck in the King of Xtreme Match.
We get back to the ring now, where Adam Taylor is already in the ring, awaiting the arrival of his mystery opponent. Suddenly, Triple J's music smashes over the PA and the crowd screams like hell! Triple J is back! Goodbye Green Meanie!
King of the Ring Semifinal 2
Adam Taylor vs. Triple J
The crowd was very into this match-up, with chants for both men through out the match. Triple J was a strong and dominant, much like his old-self. The match switched back and forth a lot, with Triple J showing power for a majority of the match. Triple J was unable to prevent the interference of The Alliance, and when they punched Adam Taylor, they guaranteed that Adam Taylor is sent through!
Winner: Triple J
(Via DQ. Adam Taylor advances to the KOTR Finals)
Triple J walked away upset at the loss, and looked back and told The Alliance that he would get them back. We then returned backstage and to the Z‐Pack Locker Room. Mr. BIG stood inside, with his TWF World Championship on his shoulder. He told The Shott that he goes out there tonight making an impact, showing that he is just as hardcore as Marz, and is gonna prove to the world that he is The King of Hardcore.
The King then introduces the celebrities sitting at ringside. Special Guests are Avril Lavigne, whose new track 'Complicated' is out on September 16th, and King introduces local band Big Shiny Cave, which gets a massive pop. JR then goes on to plug the King of the Ring theme; 'Prayer', by Disturbed. Their album hits American shelves on September 16th.
'Sometimes, Sometimes'… BANG! 'High Voltage' hits over the PA and out come The Mangler and High Voltage to a mixed reception from the crowd. They are fighting a 3‐on‐2 Handicap Match at the request of High Voltage tonight!
'What About Hawke' starts up and the crowd viciously boos the founder members of the new BPA (Brynteg Pupils Association): Hawke, Rhys Evans and Frekishi. All three men pose before entering the ring, but are ambushed by the former BoyZ Members!
Handicap Match
High Voltage & The Mangler vs. Hawke, Frekishi and Rhys Evans
JR reminds us that High Voltage made his debut along with Hawke as a member of 'The BoyZ' back in October 2000, and reminds us that Rhys Evans first appeared around a year later. Hawke and HV start in the ring, with the crowd chanting 'Let's Go Voltage' in support of their hero. Hawke and High Voltage lock up and the two toss and turn before Voltage nails a quick suplex. But Hawke gained the advantage and used cheap tags to make a mockery of poor High Voltage. However, in a remarkable turn of events, the BPA walk down to ringside, and attack Frekishi! Frekishi has been kicked out of The BPA! Sarah is orchestrating this vicious attack, whilst Hawke is given The Electric Shock in the ring! 1‐2‐3!
Winners: High Voltage & The Mangler
The BPA continue to lay a beating on Frekishi before beating on High Voltage and The Mangler as well! Then, out of completely nowhere, down come the Z‐Pack! The Z‐Pack are going to help the god damn BPA! OH NO THEY ARE NOT! BIG Storm to Stone Kold! ShottGun to Hawke! Equaliser to Rhys Evans! The Shott and Mr. BIG nail Falcon with the Double D! BPA retreat as the Z‐Pack call for more. Mr. BIG says that in the ring right now is the newest Z‐Pack member, Frekishi! The crowd cheers as BPA retreat up the ramp.
JR says that coming up next is The King of the Ring final between Adam Taylor and Brownie. Brownie will be accompanied by Blonde Man for this match and we cut to a commercial for the new TWF Web.
We are back live as we take a look outside the Cefn Cribwr Community Centre, before going back inside as we are about to witness the final of TWF King of the Ring 2002!
Brownie's music hits and he walks down to the ring first, accompanied by his Team EV buddies. The crowd is cheering, confident of a Brownie victory this evening.
Then, The Alliance's music smashes over the PA and down they come. Adam Taylor has a rather confident look his face as well this evening. We then look at the King's Throne, which is being set up in a corner of the arena. Brownie looks over and has an evil smirk on his face as usual.
TWF King of the Ring 2002 Final
Brownie w./ Team EV vs. Adam Taylor with The Alliance
Brownie and Taylor lock up with the crowd chanting for Brownie. The Brownster whips Taylor into the ropes and begins a decimation process, which sees the crowd chant louder and louder. Taylor however, pulled a few tricks up his sleeve. He used his Alliance stablemates to distract the referee during certain points of the match so he could gain an unfair advantage. The match came to an end when Brownie nailed the Karate Kick on Taylor to become King of the Ring.
Winner: Brownie
(TWF 2002 King of the Ring)
Brownie then walks across over to the King's throne, where Kyle E. Winston is standing. Kyle congratulates Brownie and gives him his trophy (which looks like the Stanley Cup). Kyle also says that NJS, the 2000 King of the Ring, congratulates him very much. Brownie then says that he couldn't have done it without his Team EV friends. Up come Blonde Man and Steven Jenkins, and then there is a group hug. Brownie says thank you and that this is his present for them… BANG! Brownie smashes Jenkins with his throne! Winston gets involved now, and raises Jenkins to his feet. But then, down come the BPA! You gotta be kidding! Suddenly, the BPA attack Blonde Man and Jenkins! Winston fights back and helps Team EV, but to no avail. The eleven strong BPA is too big for them. Brownie then gets on the microphone and gets in the face of his brother, laying prone on the floor. He says "Blonde Man, you may be my brother, but that doesn't mean that you aren't a jackass. Screw you… BITCH!" Sarah, the BPA's 'ring leader' raises Brownie's hand in victory and says that Brownie has replaced Frekishi as the newest member of the BPA. The crowd boos the BPA right the way to the back as JR and The King analysis the footage of Brownie attacking his 'friends'.
We return to the Z‐Pack Locker Room, where there is a sense of shock. Suddenly, Mr. BIG, stands up and says to his stable mates that the BPA are trying to make an example out of everyone of them. Biggie goes on to say that he, as the leader of the Z‐Pack as a right and a responsibility to ensure that everyone has the same right. The right of freedom and the right to kick some ass! With that, there is a loud roar in the Z‐Pack locker room, and we go back to ringside.
Jim and Jerry at ringside then remind us that the next time we come to everyone on Pay‐Per‐View is on October 13th, from Plymouth in Devon for the very special 'The End is Nigh' event. Tickets are all sold out, but we can still catch us live on Pay‐Per‐View. Cable customers contact your local operator and those people who are 'interactive', press the appropriate buttons to order.
Jerry says that European Championship match should be next, but suddenly, 'Ice Man' gets on the PA and the crowd boos loudly. AJ Jeffers, the coolest TWF Champion of all time, walks down to the ring to a mass of heat from the passionate Cefn Cribwr crowd. Jeffers grabs a microphone and cuts a promo about how ignorant NJS is and that he deserves to be strapped to him so he can kick his ass 10 times worse.
The glass shatters, and NJS walks down to the ring, and ambushes AJ Jeffers from behind as AJ is on the ramp. The two brawl down to the ring, where the referee attaches the strap to both men's right hand and the match is underway.
TWF Intercontinental Championship
Strap Match
NJS (C) vs. AJ Jeffers
JR goes through the irony that this time 2 years ago, NJS was fighting in a Battle Royal with Brownie to be King of the Ring, and NJS won that time. Now NJS is facing AJ Jeffers for the IC Championship in a Strap Match. Back onto the match, and AJ Jeffers takes advantage of his technical knowhow and uses a variety of moves to weaken NJS. Jeffers also uses his technical, and more specifically submission ability with the strap to weaken NJS effectively. However, remembering that this match is no DQ, Jeffers refused to throw caution to the wind. Deadman, NJS's Brother came running down the ramp and into the ring. Deadman smashed Jeffers with a Roundhouse Heel Kick and NJS applied the Laws of NJS! Jeffers had no choice to tap!
Winner: NJS
(Via Submission)
NJS hugs his brother and the two flank each other as they walk up the ramp. Jeffers looks extremely pissed off with Deadman and the ignorance he had coming into his match.
Again, we return backstage, and to Lita. Lita is standing by The Shott, and she asks him how he feels about putting his body on the line in the upcoming King of Xtreme Match. The Shott says that September is a suitable time for crowning kings. Of course Osama bin Laden thought he was one and got rid of the World Trade Center and lost 3,000 lives. But, The Shott says that 1 death is a tragedy, 3,000 is a statistic. So, he feels that as King of Hardkore, he should become the very first King of Xtreme. This might be Marz's kind of match, but who said Marz was betta than The Shott? We haven't seen The Shott in the Xtreme Match type before! The Shott says that he is out to prove once and for all that he is Number 1… and The Best One.
With that, we go straight back into the arena, where stage hands are bringing tables, ladders, chairs, petroleum, fire extinguishers, and rolls of Barbed Wire. A few stage hands are also changing the ropes to Barbed Wire and are placing the TWF Xtreme Championship high above the ring.
JR and The King say that they cannot believe such a match is taking place, but it is. JR and The King say that the rules are the same as a ladder match, first guy to retrieve the belt wins. King says it may look like a TLC match, but rest assured this ain't TLC. This is the TWF going Hardkore in a BIG, BIG, BIG WAY!
Howard Finkel stands in the middle of the ring and looks straight up at the belt and gulps. He announces the match and the crowd goes ape, knowing that this is gonna have more carnage than BIG-AshTaker at Against All Odds!
First down to the ring is NJS' little bro Deadman. The crowd cheers as he walks down to the ring and looks straight at the Barbed Wire ropes and at the belt. Deadman obviously knows that there is gonna be a heck of a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Then, Jean Claude Van Slam makes his way to the ring. JCVS, being in both TECW and RWF in the past, has never been in this type of match before.
Mr. Edwards suddenly comes out on stage and says that Marz was originally slated to be in this match, but, since he got injured, he can't take part. So he booked a very special substitute… BANG! The Bob's music hits, and down comes Big Bob Basher from TECW! The crowd cheers immensely as Triple B walks down to the ring. He looks like he just won the Xtreme Championship anyway! The crowd is now already on their feet, awaiting the arrival of the fourth contestant in this inaugural King of Xtreme Contest.
The Shott's new music and entrance starts up, and the crowd start a Shott chant already. The pyros go off as the Shott walks down to the ring. He and Big Bob Basher double-team JCVS and Deadman to begin the match.
TWF Xtreme Championship
King of Xtreme Match
The Shott vs. Big Bob Basher vs. Deadman vs. Jean‐Claude Van Slam
The Shott immediately throws Deadman into the barbed wire and Deadman goes flying. Deadman is in pain as he lands on the ground. The Shott shoves him into the ring post and then nails him with a ladder. The Shott then throws the ladder in the ring. BBB has JCVS in the turnbuckle and just punches the crap out of him. JCVS falls to the ground and then BBB goes to the outside. Big Bob Basher gets the table, and decides to pour gasoline (petrol) all over it! The crowd cheers as suddenly BBB sets the table alight! JCVS however caught BBB from behind and chucks him onto the table. JCVS then goes up top and goes for a leg drop. AND MISSES! BBB gets off and JCVS goes through the flaming table! The crowd starts an extremely loud ECW chant up, with sections chanting 'Holy Shit'. The Shott sees what has happened and begins to build the Table Tower! The last time we saw the table tower, Deadman went flying through it! But Deadman smashes the Shott with a low-blow and goes backstage. Deadman wheels out a dumpster! The crowd pops as Deadman shoves the dumpster into The Shott's abdomen, and grabs a ladder. Deadman places the ladder in middle of the ring, and goes for the belt. But Big Bob Basher disagrees and throws Deadman off the ladder. AND THROUGH THE TABLES! The crowd went ape as Deadman flew through the tables! The Shott simply walked past him and went for his brother Big Bob Basher! The crowd cheered as the two brothers went face-to-face, but suddenly, The BPA walked down to the ring and carnage ensued! However, the arena went black and 'Enter Sandman' started up on the PA! The crowd went ape shit, as down came the real King of Xtreme, THE SANDMAN! The Z‐Pack followed behind the ring was cleared of the BPA and two sides continued their brawl to the back. The Shott then set up a Table with Barbed Wire on top and shoved JCVS on it! Big Bob Basher again thought otherwise, but then The Shott gave Big Bob Basher a flying Clothesline from the top rope! The Shott climbed like RVD up the ladder and shouted Z‐Pack 4 Life as he ploughed through JCVS' body! The crowd went holy crap as The Shott executed a Frog Splash and climbed the ladder to grab The Xtreme Championship! The crowd cheered as The Shott fell off the ladder.
Winner: The Shott
(New TWF Xtreme Champion and 2002 King of Xtreme)
The Shott stumbled to his feet as The Sandman watches on from the ramp. The Shott climbs the turnbuckles and calls for a Budweiser. The crowd cheered as The Shott took a page out of Marz's book, quite literally and drank some Budweiser. The Shott joins Marz as the only Xtreme Champions in TWF History!
