TWF Wednesday Grit BasH Results
August 19, 2009 Tesco Arena, Maesteg, Bridgend * Warning! *
The following program is a presentation of the Total Wrestling Federation. It will contain strobe lighting effects and sudden loud noises. The program may also contain scenes which could cause offence to some viewers, including children. Viewer Discretion is Advised! For more information, visit TWF.com Hudson remarks that we will revisit some of the key moments of Summer Break X through out the program tonight and reminds us that the show is still available to watch on Sky Box Office and online. The drums then come in! BANG! The guitar riff from "Perfect Insanity" begins to play and the crowd EXPLODES! Out onto the stage with the Total Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship belt on his right shoulder is a returning Mr. BIG! Scott Hudson says that if you didn't know he was back, there's one reason to order Summer Break! Biggie returned on Sunday night as Marz's partner and together, the former Future Generation‐X partners reunited to defeat Disturbed and Zero in a match that some people have gone on record as saying was "one of the greatest tag team bouts in professional wrestling history". Biggie loves every moment of his entrance, leaping into the security barriers with frenzied fans surrounding him. Daniels remarks that he has not seen Biggie this delighted to be here in a long time. Daniels does remind fans that this is the same Mr. BIG, who the last time we saw him at a televised TWF event, told the company that it would die a "slow and horrible death". Hudson tells Daniels that he thinks the fans may forgive their legend for his actions and words, but he is still surprised at the amazing reception that Mr. BIG has received here tonight. The beard he debuted on Sunday has remained as part of his new look, but his trademark heavy metal t‐shirt (tonight is a "Painkiller" tee, a homage to Judas Priest) returns. Biggie gets into the ring with his music still playing and he poses on the turnbuckles with the belt before he gets a microphone from Karli Andrews at ringside. Biggie stands in the middle of the ring as his music dies down. The crowd is still roaring loudly and cheering profusely. Minutes tick by and Biggie poses with the belt on each side of the ring with loud chants of "Welcome back! Welcome back!" and "Thank You Biggie! Thank You Biggie!" ringing around the building. Biggie is about to speak into the microphone but the chants get louder and louder. Biggie looks very emotional as he goes to speak a second time, but when the chants get EVEN LOUDER, tears begin to fall down his cheek. Biggie finally speaks and tells the crowd that he is extremely touched by the reception he has received here tonight. The crowd roars with approval. Biggie informs the crowd that he has not forgotten what he said the last time they saw him. He said, and he went on record as saying that the TWF would die a slow and painful death without him. The crowd boos loudly remembering the address he gave at Total Annihilation 2008 before Biggie took his hiatus from the company, which continued until Sunday night. Ironically, Biggie actually came closer to dying than the TWF did. As fans may well know, earlier this year, Biggie suffered some health issues that, to some people, would have prevented them from returning to the Squared Circle. But, he recovered. He recovered and he worked damn hard to make sure he could come back. But everywhere he went, people would ask "Why would you come back Biggie? You're a Hall of Famer, you're a legend in the TWF, you've got no reason to come back". Biggie tells the crowd he came back because he has some points to prove. He still has that desire and that passion he had ten‐odd years ago when he founded this company. He doesn't want to sit at home and watch the program anymore; he wants to be a part of it. He knows things have changed and people have moved on, but he wants to check one small point before he even thinks of continuing. Biggie knows what he did last January was wrong because he berated the only people who, through his career, supported him every step of the way, and he honestly didn't think on Sunday that the TWF's great fans would be happy to see him, but, they cheered for him, and he went away the happiest man on earth on Sunday night. Biggie turns to a corner of the crowd and asks for them to shout "B‐I‐G" if they still want him to be in the TWF. A loud and succinct "B‐I‐G" is heard which is followed by huge cheers. Biggie turns to the entrance way and announces that he wants to introduce someone special to everyone… "Crawl" by Kings of Leon hits the PA and the crowd turns to the entrance way to see "The MasterStroke" Aaron Hill walk out onto the stage. Hill walks slowly down to the ring with a massive shit‐eating grin on his face with Hudson remarking that he expected Biggie to either introduce Marz or Sophie to the crowd, but was interrupted by the MasterStroke, who was unsuccessful in his match with Patrick McCarthy at Summer Break. Hill walks into the ring with Biggie staring directly at him with his every move. Hill already has a microphone in his hand and is about to speak when the crowd roars as Sophie, looking stunning in a leather jacket and denim jeans combo, walks down to the ring. Hill turns to Sophie as she is in the aisle and says "Good, I'm glad you're going to be here to see this". Sophie enters the ring and stands next to Biggie. Hill tells Biggie that he's not surprised that he's come back to the company under a blaze of glory. This is Mr. BIG after all. The same BIG who would come out and say that he'd never turn his back on the company he built and he created… and he just left and disappeared last year. The same BIG who said that he was romantically involved with Sophie when she was actually pregnant with another man's child. The same BIG who has had the same act for about 10 years and gets offended when people come up to him and say he has the stalest act in professional wrestling. The very same Mr. BIG who stood in this ring just a few years ago and said that he will never team up with Marz ever again. Hill says that he has come down here with clear intentions; Biggie doesn't know what those kinds of things are. Hill says that he never got the respect he deserved the last time he was in the TWF and he intends to win the respect of his peers and the locker room by destroying the career and life of the biggest hypocrite in professional wrestling history. He wants to kill BIG's career in the same way that BIG almost killed his. Biggie doesn't look impressed as he picks up his microphone. BIG reminds Hill that he left the TWF off his own terms two years ago and he quotes "because he wanted to set up a law firm". BIG asks Hill what happened to that, to which Hill has no answer. Biggie then asks Hill what he did do. He sat on his fat arse, living off the paycheques that the TWF gave him when he worked for them. BIG always told Hill he had the potential to be a big star if he worked hard enough to achieve it. Instead, he took the easy way out and did nothing before coming back here and expecting everything to be handed on a plate to him. Hill suddenly interrupts and says loudly and clearly "Pot, meet kettle". This remark throws Biggie completely off and the crowd is stunned to silence. Hill says that Biggie has no answer to that and has proved his point. Hill now has the time and the opportunity to make himself a bigger star than Biggie ever was. Hill then turns to Sophie and says "then beautiful, you can leave that jackasses's side and join a man who will truly care about you". Sophie looks at Hill bemused as he tells Mr. BIG that he is offering him a challenge to a match, anytime, anyplace, anywhere. He can name the stipulation because he can stack the deck against him however much he likes, it still won't make up for the fact that Biggie will never be the man that he is. Biggie asks Hill if he's done talking. Hill, who has dropped his microphone, can be heard to say "Yeah, I'm done". Biggie tells Hill there is one major difference between them. He has sold out arenas all over the world. He is the one that the fans appreciate and want to come and see, the one who is followed by millions on Twitter and is mobbed everywhere he goes. BIG is the man who is considered by many to be one of the finest wrestlers of his generation, the same praise could be said for Hill, but he chose not to work for it. Biggie could come back and earn this reception and people chanting his name (the crowd spontaneously begins to chant "Biggie! Biggie!" which draws a huge smile on his face) simply because he has earned it. He put his body on the line every time he has wrestled for these fans, and regardless of what he many have said in the past, they knew that and that's why he is "The People's Choice". Biggie asks Hill if the point of his monologue was if actions speak louder than words. Hill nods vigorously. Biggie informs Hill that he has an action for him to remember… Biggie charges at Hill! Hill hits Biggie with a few solid rights that force BIG to stumble. Hill throws BIG into the ropes as Sophie jumps out of the ring. Hill hits BIG with a big shot to the gut and looks for his Impact DDT when Biggie feigns the groggy approach and hits Hill with the vicious STO Backbreaker he debuted at Summer Break, which Hudson quickly adds Biggie dubbed "The Coriolis Effect"! "Perfect Insanity" hits as BIG rolls out of the ring. He goes to check over Sophie, and she is fine. The two stand at the foot of the entrance ramp, with Biggie talking some serious trash at Hill, who slowly rolls over to spot the two. Hill stumbles to his feet and slowly walks over to the ropes and points and shouts at Biggie before BIG and Sophie slowly walk back up the ramp, hand in hand. Biggie and Sophie get to the Gorilla Position and turn and look back at Hill with smiles on their faces before walking behind the curtain. |
