A New Channel, Same Rules

It's been a while, but the TWF is back on Sky1, and this time it's permanent! The TWF moves into it's new regular home of Sky1 as well as Sky1HD this Wednesday night, as the TWF itself returns home to Brackla. We can already confirm that whilst "Heavy" will remain as the iconic theme of the show, a new title sequence will open the program. As fans will know, as some things change in the Total Wrestling Federation, some things will remain the same!

We will no doubt start Wednesday hearing from either Mastermind or The Assassin, after The Modern Day Messiah seemingly dumped his Dangerous Alliance running mate after their loss to Deadman and NJS at Fall of Heroes on Saturday. The two saw eye-to-eye under Paul Heyman, but since his departure, their partnership seemed very volatile, and after Deadman pinned Mastermind on Saturday, Assassin has blamed the loss on his partner, and has avowed to gain his revenge. This explosive situation will be addressed on Wednesday night.

Deadman and NJS will no doubt be in high spirits after their victory, and will now likely set their sights on The Terminator, a tag team partner of both in the past, who has threatened to bring back a face from the past of the Brothers of Mayhem, The AshTaker. The Terminator has reminded Deadman in recent weeks how AshTaker was fond of Halloween and could make his return before All Hallow's Eve. How will the duo assess this threat?

A new sheriff is also in town, after Sophie provided a huge upset and defeated Alexis Polaris singlehandedly, and then dedicated her victory to her miscarriaged child and to her friend Mr. BIG, who trained her. Sophie is now the TWF Commissioner, and with the absence of Mr. Edwards this week, is in charge. Alexis will no doubt have her opinions of the match, although Sophie's first act will be to crown The Avenger the King of the Ring after his tournament victory on Saturday. Tune in to see how that goes down!

Also, we will hear from Hulmes and Tobias Granville, who will face Tag Team Champions Disturbed and Zero at Halloween Hell; Sebastian Gross on his loss in the King of the Ring final, thanks to his nemesis Eddie McBrain; as well as Television Champion John Harper, who was almost kept off the show as a result injuries sustained in a match with "New School" Jack Beam last Friday.

It's a night you would be crazy to miss as the TWF returns live to Brackla! Grit BasH starts at 8pm on Sky1 (Sky Channel 106) and Sky1HD (Sky Channel 170).

A New Day Dawns

The loudest show on earth did not disappoint TWF fans who cried for change on Sunday night and Summer Break IX will certainly go down in history. Just under 70,000 people packed the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff to witness the downfall of the Dangerous Alliance, as each member was unsuccessful in their matches, meaning Paul Heyman is no longer a member of the TWF. The manner of his downfall is perhaps the most shocking aspect, as Sophie made her long-awaited return, with Mr. Edwards in tow to ensure that Heyman's tyranny failed to continue. Sophie has promised us that she will deliver an earth shattering announcement in the opening segment of Grit BasH this Wednesday, an announcement she says "will shake things up a bit!".

Amazingly, we haven't even touched on the new champions we have crowned. Blade and Nytro fought a Match of the Year candidate which saw Blade walk out with the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career. Canadian sensation John Harper also won his first championship in the TWF, as he pinned The King of New School Jack Beam to become Television Champion. Disturbed and Zero won a classic Square Ladder Match to become 3-Time Tag Team Champions, Michelle gained redemption for last year's loss to win the Women's Championship at Summer Break, and in an emotional main event, Deadman ascended to the top of the TWF mountain for the first time, defeating The Assassin to become Total Wrestling Federation World Champion.

On Wednesday you can also expect to hear from the final ever Hardkore Champion Eddie McBrain about his sensational victory in the Hardkore Challenge, as well as a match between two exciting young stars, Mike Haggar and The Avenger. A new era has dawned in the TWF, and frankly, you'd be completely insane to miss watching the new dawn!

All coming to you live this Wednesday, it's TWF Grit BasH! Live on Sky Three and Sky One HD from 8pm.

Back from the Brink

The Assassin it seemed got lucky on Sunday night. The TWF World Champion was not at his best in an environment that exploits the weak. However, a moment of sheer brilliance from the Masked Messiah means that he survived Tables, Ladders, Cell and Marz to remain the TWF World Champion. The champion can barely rest however, as Jean‐Claude Van Slam is his next opponent at No Way BacK in just under 4 weeks. Both men will be in Cardiff Arena to address their colossal meeting of egos on April 20 ‐ where they meet for the third time on PPV since October 2007!

In other action from Easter HeAT, Justin Polaris continued his impressive streak of late with an impressive victory over TWF veteran Deadman. Paul Heyman has already informed the TWF Web that he has a special announcement about that match to take place during Grit BasH. Mastermind also laid to rest a few myths of Hades's invincibility when Mastermind pinned Hades in the closing moments of the show. Hades and his handler Owen Carl have shown tension between them lately, is this likely to roll over into the next week or so?

Also on Wednesday, we will hear from new TWF Women's Champion Rio after her victory in the 8 Women Battle Royal on Sunday. What will she have to say to Echo, who she eliminated in controversial circumstances on Sunday? We will also hear from Nytro and John Harper after their TWF Intercontinental Championship war, as well as watching a huge match-up between Disturbed and Blonde Man and a TWF Hardkore Championship defence from Ron Lindberg!

All coming to you live this Wednesday, it's TWF Grit BasH! Live on Sky Three and Sky One HD from 8pm.

Perfection Denied

Super Bowl XLII was arguably the most dramatic televised sporting event in history, as the undefeated New England Patriots fell to a superb New York Giants to become NFL Champions. On Saturday night, the TWF presented Super Brawl, it's first xWa-exclusive event in almost 3 years and it was it's most dramatic event yet.
