During some house clearing in TWF Towers, this title belt was discovered in the vaults of the Total Wrestling Federation. Many names were contacted about the strange championship belt, which was from the TWF's beginnings (it contained the Tremains Wrestling Federation subscription). The Handicap belts were created around late 2000 to mid 2001. However, despite getting clearance to be designed and created, they were dropped before a tournament was to be held for the championship. Today, the belts remain in the TWF's vaults. Two title belts were created. In the event a single wrestler was to win the belt, the second belt would be returned to the TWF.
These are the most interesting titles in TWF history as they were never defended at a TWF show. Marz introduced the concept of a Tag Team Championship to be contested in hardcore matches only around the time that Marz & The Shott were having their hardcore matches with The Rogerz for the TWF Tag Team Championships. The belts were made and about to be introduced with a tournament featuring 8 of the TWF's most insane tag teams when Marz was deposed as TWF Chairman and revealed his TECW organisation. He took the Hardkore Tag Team concept with him to TECW/NCW, but he did not take the title belts, which remained in the TWF's possession. One belt remains in the halls of TWF Towers, the other in the TWF Hall of Fame. It has not been ruled out that new belts be engraved and the belts becoming active, but this looks increasingly unlikely.
During some house clearing in TWF Towers, this title belt was discovered in the vaults of the Total Wrestling Federation. Many names were contacted about the strange championship belt, which was from the TWF's beginnings (it contained the Tremains Wrestling Federation subscription). One story circulated that this was the original UK Heavyweight Championship belt. Another claimed that it was the predecessor of the European Championship. However, the real answer, which was revealed with documentation from another unusual belt, the Handicap championship, was that this was an "entry level" belt for the TWF, in a tier below the European Championship and would be given to up-and-coming wrestlers who deserved a championship. However, the feeling was that the TWF was creating belts for anyone and everyone, so the championship bit the dust. The belt found is believed to be the only belt in existence as it was, along with the Handicap and Hardkore Tag Team Championship belts, never defended at a TWF show.
