# Notes
AJ Jeffers pins Mr. BIG and wins the World Heavyweight Championship through the help of a fast count from special referee, The Red Dragon.
Marz vacates the title the very next night, stating he had "proved his point" in winning the championship. Marz inducted himself into the TWF Hall of Fame on this night and announced that a new champion would be decided at New Year Partee in a Ladder Match between High Voltage and The Shott.
Mr. BIG pinned The Shott in a Hardcore Three Way match, also involving High Voltage, with Marz as special referee, at WrestleMania 3 to become a three-time World Heavyweight Champion.
Due to the controversial ending to the World Heavyweight Championship match at Total Chaos, TWF Chairman Mr. Edwards and TWF CEO Mr. BIG jointly decide to vacate the TWF World Heavyweight Championship. At this time, The Vamp brings in the RWF World Championship and an Undisputed TWF World Heavyweight Championship is created.
Mr. BIG pinned High Voltage in a Five Way match also involving The Vamp (who walked out on the match), The AshTaker and The Shott to capture the title for a fourth time. After this match, Mr. BIG renames the belt the TWF World Championship.
NJS pinned Frekishi in a Four Way match also involving The AshTaker and Hawke.
The AshTaker defeated NJS, High Voltage and The Shott in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match for the TWF World Championship at New Year Partee.
High Voltage suffers a major allergic reaction and is declared unfit to wrestle in his next title defence, meaning he will not defend his title in the mandatory 40-day period. The TWF World Championship was therefore forfeited to his next scheduled opponent, Frekishi.
During their match at xWa Xtreme Overdose, which had a stipulation of the championship changing hands on a DQ decision, Hawke blasted Chief Referee Bob Sage over the head with a steel chair, which Bandit had in fact used to nail Hawke. Sage turns around and sees Bandit holding the chair. He assumes Bandit nailed him, causing a DQ and handing Hawke the championship.
The Shott pinned The AshTaker in a Three Way Match also involving The Bandit to become TWF World Champion for a third time.
On April 7, 2004, The Shott left the Total Wrestling Federation citing family reasons. He left the TWF World Championship vacant, so at Easter HeAT, High Voltage pinned Marz in a Four Way Match also involving AJ Jeffers and The Assassin to claim the vacant championship.
AJ Jeffers pinned The Assassin last in a Four Corners Elimination Match also involving Mastermind and The Terminator to become TWF World Champion for the second time.
After Summer Break VI, the TWF enters an 18-month sabbatical, with the championship all inactive. At When Worlds Collide, Mastermind pinned AJ Jeffers in a Three Way match also involving The Terminator to become TWF World Champion for a second time.
The Assassin pinned Mastermind after an instruction to do so by Paul Heyman, who later revealed he had thrown the match between the two and reformed his Dangerous Alliance stable with the two men. The incident has become known as Black Sunday.
The Assassin pinned Deadman in a Four Way match also involving Jean‐Claude Van Slam and Matthew Jones to become the TWF World Champion for a third time. Deadman contested the decision as referee Cliff Switzer missed Deadman putting his foot on the bottom rope at the two count.
NJS won a House of Pain match at Dangerously Serious also involving the incumbent champion Deadman, Justin Polaris, Mastermind, Nytro and The Assassin to win the World Championship for the second time.
The Shott's only title defence, against Blade at PayBack, ended in controversy thanks to a double disqualification. On December 22, 2010, it was announced that the World Championship would be declared vacant and the new champion would be the winner of the Time Crisis Match at Unleashed.
Justin Polaris eliminated Rick Majors last in the Time Crisis match to win the championship. Polaris was the first man to hold a redesigned TWF World Championship, but when Polaris's reign came to an end, the redesigned championship was replaced with the original championship belt.
The Avenger won a Best 2-out-of-3 Falls Match by 2 decisions to 1 against The Assassin on a TWF on ITV Special to regain the championship.
After suffering a re-occurrence of his neck injury, Disturbed announces his retirement from professional wrestling and vacates the championship on January 27. On the February 10 edition of Grit BasH, it is announced that the TWF World Championship will be awarded to the winner of a Time Crisis match at SuperBrawl.
The Avenger eliminated The Assassin last in a Time Crisis match to win the championship.
Stephen Jenkins pinned Zero in a Four Way match also involving The Avenger and Riptide. Jenkins exchanged his Gold Card to get entry into the match.
Zero won a ladder match also involving The Avenger, Eddie McBrain, John Harper, Riptide, Stephen Jenkins, Titan, Tobias Granville and Victor Ortega.
Zero pinned Nytro in a Four Way match also involving John Harper and Mike Haggar to win the championship.
Mick O'Brian pinned John Harper last in a Four Way Dance also involving David Tissot and Zero. The match was originally scheduled to be a Three Way Dance, but O'Brian exchanged his Gold Card before the match began, making it a Four Way Dance.
Zero suffers a torn triceps in his defeat of Tobias Granville, during the main event of Summer Break XXIII. On the 31 August edition of Grit BasH, Mr. BIG (in his capacity as TWF CEO) announces that the championship has been vacated, and a new champion will be determined in a one night, 8‐man tournament to take place at PayBack on September 24.
Alan Adams defeated Ross Lee in the final match of a one night, 8‐man single‐elimination tournament to win the World Championship.
Alan Adams defeated Clay Colton, David Tissot, Tobias Granville, Tyler Jacobson, and Zero in a House of Pain match to win the World Championship.
