Brutality Championship WrestlingAs the TWF began to expand, and hold shows away from the venue which gave the promotion it's original name, there was a long standing rumour that the company would later be renamed, as it looked to move into larger surroundings. The larger surroundings were expected to be the Brynteg Arena, as the venue held a good relationship with the fledgling company, and there were doubts that the TWF Arena was a viable solution. As the TWF Arena came to pass, eventually opening later that year ‐ as well as the ownership structure being confirmed ‐ the long thought rebadging of the company to BCW, initially to stand for Brynteg Championship Wrestling, was shelved indefinitely.
However, the name did come to be used in 2001. The TWF lacked a "farm team" ‐ a system that allowed inexperienced wrestlers to develop their skills and gain in ring experience in smaller promotions before they are called up to compete in front of a wider audience. The Brynteg Arena, with it's vast campus and facilities was deemed the perfect home. In 2003, after the TWF was renamed, ironically, BCW would also change meaning, to Brutality Championship Wrestling. From 2001 to 2007, all of the TWF's talent made appearances in BCW. Some frequently, some on occasion. As The Asylum training complex in Waterton began to slowly expand, the TWF was determined to take the farm team "in house", and not be a part of what was technically an independent promotion, as BCW was operationally independent of the TWF. As a result, it ran infrequent shows during the company's 18‐month hiatus in 2005 to 2007. Rumours that the TWF were considering ending their longstanding relationship with the company swirled, until they were confirmed in mid‐2007, that BCW would no longer be the TWF's development territory. A celebration of BCW alumni was held at Total Chaos that year, with future visits to the venue hoping to pay homage to the links with the company. In September 2007, BCW management stunned the TWF by announcing a clean break from the company, effective immediately, and that the TWF would no longer be welcome at the Brynteg Arena. It was a sad end to a relationship that had aided both companies in their respective growth. The TWF would not return to the venue until July 2012, after BCW went through several management changes.
