BROADLANDS, BRIDGEND [November 28th 2002] - The Tremains Wrestling Federation© Inc. has announced that it is involved in a plan to buy out one of it's local rivals. The announcement came at the Conference Call to announce the 2nd Quarter 2002-2003 Figures.
TWF™ Chief Executive Officer, Rhys Edwards (aka TWF™ Intercontinental Champion, Mr. BIG™) said that recently they had decided to help out another Welsh promotion.
"The venture will be different to that when we bought out the RWF. Our premilinarly plans see us merging together under one brand. If the plans go through, it should come to fruitation at New Year Partee 2003". Edwards refused to comment on which promotion they will be buying out. Rumors and inside sources say that it could be the recently formed Tornado Championship Wrestling. Edwards sold his rights to the 'TCW' initals to Mark Orpin around a month ago, and TCW are looking to be the next big thing in Welsh Wrestling. NcW, the number 1 promotion in Wales at the moment has refused to comment so far, but people say that which ever promotion it may be, the TWF may be unstoppable.
Industry analyist Andy Radke said: "The TWF prior to NcW's formation was very dominant and unstoppable. Then TECW/NcW came along and took their crown. By the looks of things, this maybe a rather short reign at the top for the federation. I can see the days of old...TWF ruling the roost coming back once more."
The Tremains Wrestling Federation Inc.© (FTSE: TWF) is a wrestling, media, entertainment incorporated company, formed in February 2000. The TWF's© live programming, Monday Nitro©, Wednesday Grit BasH™ and Raw is War™ are often the highest rated programming on their channel/s. The TWF has slipped into the number 2 slot in the Welsh Wrestling rankings behind fellow Brackla-based rivals NcW. The company is based in both Brackla, Bridgend at the famous TWF Towers and with offices in Broadlands, Bridgend. The company also owns a stake in The Bridgend Dome™ and owns The TWF Arena™. The company's website http://www.twfwrestling2k.cjb.net acheived around 500 hits in it's opening month and The TWF Discussion Forums™ have acheived over 10,000 hits in under a year and was the first Welsh Promotion to do so.
