Ozzfest 2K3 takes shape

With no signs of stopping, Ozzfest is making another return showcasing a barrage of some of today’s best and heaviest in the world of hard rock and heavy metal. Ozzfest 2003 will see it’s namesake, the legendary Ozzy Osbourne, in his reoccurring role as headliner, backed by guitarist Zakk Wylde, bassist Robert Trujillo and drummer Michael Bordin.

The annual tour will feature some new bands to the Ozzfest mischief, while some familiar names make a return visit. The Main Stage will include Ozzy, Marilyn Manson and Disturbed making return appearances, as well as Chevelle who have now been promoted from last year’s Second Stage to Main Stage openers. Korn will be making their first Ozzfest 2003 their very first Ozzfest on stage experience.

The Second Stage will feature Cradle of Filth, who make their first U.S. rock festival appearance this summer, Trust Company, Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, Nothingface, Hotwire, Grade 8, Twisted Method, Unloco, and Memento, with more to be announced.

Tickets for Ozzfest 2003 go on sale in March and can be purchased through all Ticketmaster outlets. There are lawn seats that will be made available for a special price of $10, but there is a limited quantity and they must be purchased at the venue box office.
