BRACKLA, BRIDGEND [June 3rd 2003] The Rebel Wrestling Federation, formerly owned by the ncW and the TWF has been brought back as a joint venture by former owner Rhys Reed. Reed held a meeting at TWF Towers today with the xWa, including Douglas Edwards, Nathaniel Job-Smith and TWF Wrestler Mr. BIG to confirm the deal. The RWF has gained a contract with the xWa Network for a weekly show to be held on Thursdays.
The biggest surprise however is the signing of former TWF Creative Consaultant Ben Shottle, who has signed on the dotted line and is the co-owner of the brand with Reed. Shottle, currently employed by ncW was quoted to be ecstatic by the deal. He is also believed to have signed his friend The Assassin, of ncW, to the brand.
"The Third xWa Member, the RWF will hopefully have a brand strong enough to compete at Xtreme Intentions in October, and if we are really lucky, at Xtreme Overdose in a few weeks time" said Douglas Edwards, the owner of the popular Total Wrestling Federation company.
The Total Wrestling Federation Inc.© (FTSE: TWF) is a wrestling, media, entertainment incorporated company, formed in February 2000. The TWF's© live programming, Wednesday Grit BasH™ and Raw is War® are the highest rated programming on Sky Cartoons and the xWa Network respectively. The TWF™ is officially the leading promotion in South Wales, ahead of xWa Member XCW, arch rivals NCW, RWF, TCW and FWF. The company is based in both Brackla, Bridgend at the famous TWF™ Towers and with offices in Broadlands, Bridgend. The company also owns a stake in The Bridgend Dome™ and owns The TWF Arena™. The company's website http://www.twfwrestling2k.cjb.net acheived around 500 hits in it's opening month [and recently achieved it's 1,000 hit. It is the most successful Welsh Promotion's Official Site]. The TWF Discussion Forums™ have acheived over 18,000 hits in just over a year and was the first Welsh Promotion to do build it's own Discussion Forums and achieve the brilliant hit counter status.
Xtreme Championship Wrestling was set up in late 2002 by Nathaniel Job-Smith, and is also based out of Brackla, Bridgend. The brand co-founded the xWa as a way of taking on rivals as a partnership and was instrumental in getting the xWa Network off the ground. Their two shows, Monday Night Nitro and Tuesday Metal are the highest rated shows ever on xWa Network and MTV2 respectively on their night. They have also gained a cult following from 16-25 year old females tuning in to watch the brand, as well as the 10-30 age group they were aiming for.
