TWF Wednesday Grit BasH
July 30th 2003
GCourt Green, Brackla, Bridgend

A highlights package from TWF RAW last week is shown, highlighting the fact that tonight a battle royal will be held to determine the #1 Contender for the TWF World Championship.

'Bullet With Your Name' by Scars of Life plays to a huge pop and the jakked crowd at the GCourt Green cheers as the fireworks go off. The usual Grit BasH set is there, except for a huge JumboTron replacing the usual TotalTron, that there is no ramp. Scott Hudson and Paul Heyman at ringside welcome us to the show and inform us that the Battle Royal now has 20 participants, including The AshTaker, Hawke, Rhys Evans and 3 mystery participants!

The Y2J-ohmmeter shows up on screen and the crowd cheers. 05-04-03-02-01-00...BANG! 'Bring Me Down' by Puddle of Mudd hits and the crowd continues to cheer as the xWa Champion, NJS walks down to the ring with his girlfriend and manager Lita. NJS gets to the ring and takes the microphone from ring announcer Rachel Stevens. NJS says that he's finally back at GCourt Green...where on March 19th 2000, he beat Marz for the very first time, and embarrassed the S.O.B. so much, that when he came back a few months ago, the second he was told he was gonna face NJS...he left! The crowd laughs and cheers as NJS says that. NJS continues and says that he has come out here to open Grit BasH to say that he is looking for a worthy opponent to face him for the xWa Championship at Summer Break. NJS says that as a champion, he is issuing an open challenge to anyone worthy to face him.
NJS awaits the arrival of an open challenger, but no one shows up. NJS gets on the microphone and says that he is still waiting for a challenger. All of a sudden, 'Sonne' hits and the crowd boos as The AshTaker walks down to the ring with Deadman. AshTaker gets on the microphone and says that he has come out here to say that no one wants to challenge NJS because they don't want to carry the worthless piece of crap that is the xWa Championship. AshTaker says that it is the ugliest belt in the entire TWF and xWa. NJS gets back on the microphone and reminds AshTaker that earlier this year, The AshTaker was more desperate then you could imagine to get the xWa Championship. NJS says that the belt is probably one of prettiest in the entire xWa, and he feels deeply offended by what The AshTaker has said. NJS says that he may not want the xWa Championship, but NJS is challenging The AshTaker to a non-Title Match on RAW. Not just any non-title match. But a Steel Cage Match! The crowd cheers as NJS offers this proposition. Lita nods in agreement. Deadman however sees the look in AshTaker's eye and nails his brother with a Superkick! NJS falls flat to the floor and The AshTaker gets on the microphone and says that he accepts NJS's challenge and says he will see him on RAW. 'Sonne' hits as AshTaker and Deadman exit the ring to a mass of jeers and boos from the crowd.

Backstage, Seek and Destroy are in their locker room. Mr. Edwards is at his desk with the rest of Seek and Destroy mimicking the Z-Pack from RAW last week. However, Mr. BIG enters the room with The Bandit, Silver, Big Sexy Badass, Summer & TWF Commissioner High Voltage. Mr. BIG gets in the locker room and says that he has come in here tonight to say something. Mr. BIG rarely wrestles on TV any more. So tonight, Mr. BIG will face 'Stone Kold' Karl Davies in a little Summer Break Preview. The crowd cheers. Mr. BIG however says that he knows that it would be unfair for Davies to wrestle alone, so it will be a 6 Man Tag-Team Match. And Stone Kold will be partnered by Josh Blanche & Matthew Jones of the bPa! Davies asks Biggie who his partners will be and Biggie says that his partners happen to be the best Tag-Team in the world...the TWF Tag-Team Champions, BSB & Silver! The RWA walk out with Mr. Edwards exploding and throwing everything of his desk in one clean swipe. The rest of Seek and Destroy are speechless!

Scott Hudson and Paul Heyman at ringside discuss the match which has just been booked, and go through the long list of participants in tonight's #1 Contenders Battle Royale: Adam Taylor, Steven Dimmock, Ryan Jenkins, Rhys Hopkins, The AshTaker, The Vamp, Blade, Hawke, Jean Claude Van Slam, Deadman, AJ Jeffers, Luke Baird, Frekishi, Todd McFarlene, Blonde Man, Brownie & Joe Whelan, and remind us that 3 'mystery' participants are scheduled to take part!

'Never Gonna Stop' hits and the crowd cheers loudly. Blade, the TWF Superstar, has returned from a month in Japan! Blade is facing another man with Japanese roots, Sumo Samurai momentarily. Hudson and Heyman remind us that Blade went to Japan to improve his skills and we shall see tonight if he has done so.
Sumo Samurai's music plays and the crowd boos viciously as it blares over the audio system. Sumo walks out with his protégé and TWF TV Champion, Brownie. Brownie defeated Blade to win the TV Title and Brownie is taking part in tonight's #1 Contender Battle Royal.
This match was very interesting, with both men using a conflicted style. Blade has greatly improved from being in Japan and has adopted the Japanese style of wrestling, which adds a bit more flavour to the TWF. Blade hit Sumo with a Superkick and went up top looking for a Frog Splash, but Brownie pushed him off the top rope. Sumo locked in the Mercy Hold, but Blade countered into The Blazer! 1-2-3! Brownie is pissed as 'Never Gonna Stop' hits. Brownie and Sumo then double team Blade until Blonde Man gets down to the ring to even the score! Blonde Man and Blade clear the ring and Blonde Man encourages Brownie to come back for more. Paul Heyman reminds us that these two will face each other at Summer Break and in the Battle Royal tonight!

[TWF Returns!]

Scott Hudson and Paul Heyman welcome us back to TWF Grit BasH on Sky Sports 2 for one week only, as there is live Champions League action on Sky Sports 1 tonight.

Backstage, Mr. BIG, The Bandit, High Voltage, NJS and Lita are in their locker room. Mr. BIG passes comment on how XCW Take No Prisoners is going to rock, particularly because of the main event. Bandit also says that he is looking forward to tonight's main event and seeing who he will face at Summer Break. NJS and Lita are on the sofa snogging once more, when HV interrupts them and asks if that is all they do. NJS says that they can go a whole lot further. NJS has a devious look on his face and the crowd laughs. Biggie says he can imagine what they get up to, and unlike the Busted lyrics say, they sure as hell don't sleep with the light on! HV laughs and says that NJS probably does it to a Tenacious D song. Biggie and Bandit laugh and sing a few lines of Tenacious D's 'F*** Her Gently'. The crowd laughs and NJS tells them all to shut up in embarrassment. HV asks Lita if NJS is any good and says that NJS is VERY good. The other 3 guys look surprised and Biggie says he needs tips. HV shuts the door and the 4 men huddle up as Lita goes to a fridge-freezer unit and gets a round of Cherry Cokes.

Scott Hudson and Paul Heyman laugh and discuss what just took place in the Z-Pack Locker Room. Scott tells us that from tomorrow at 7pm, a special Summer Break preview programme, which is 30 mins long, will show on Sky Box Office channel 771 to remind us on how to order TWF Summer Break. The programme will run every hour and will help plug Summer Break. Paul Heyman also reminds us that Disturbed, Saliva, Trust Company and Limp Bizkit will perform at the event as well!

'I'll Do What I Wanna' blasts over the PA to a vicious round of boos from the packed crowd at GCourt Green. 'Stone Kold' Karl Davies, with his manager Holly and partners Josh Blanche and Matthew Jones are introduced by Rachel Stevens as they walk down to the ring.  Davies and Holly have a quick kiss and we go back to the Z-Pack locker room where all 4 sets of eyes are glued to the wide screen TV in their locker room. Jones and Blanche pose on the turnbuckles with Holly pointing to them both and Davies giving her a huge kiss. However, they are cut off by the beginning of a TWF Hall of Fame nominees entrance.
'Just Think About It' echos over the audio as they appear on the JumboTron. The flick through of Mr. BIG's storied history and greatest moments flashes through...BANG! The camera focuses on a sign which says 'Weather Report: BIG Storm expected August 17th @ Bridgend Dome'. Mr. BIG turns around from facing the JumboTron as the chorus of 'Prayer' by Disturbed plays. He stays where he was when 'Last Resort' by Papa Roach hits to just as bigger cheer. Big Sexy Badass & Silver, the TWF Tag-Team Champions walk out from either side of the JumboTron, with their valet Summer walking out of the same side of her boyfriend Silver.
This match was very good, and considering the in-experience of Davies/Blanche/Jones, was even better than expected. Davies nailed Mr. BIG with the Stone Kold Stunna and went for the cover, but Silver dragged him off. Biggie then cleared the ring of Blanche and Jones, and Silver distracted the referee as Biggie used a Steel Chair which Davies had attempted to use earlier to low blow Davies. Biggie then throws Davies into the corner and has a look on his face. The crowd cheers loudly as Biggie just launches himself like a bull at Davies...Firebreather! Biggie then climbs up to the second rope to pose, but Blanche nails him with a chair on the apron as Silver and BSB go after him and Jones! Davies rolls Biggie up and gets the 1-2-3 decision to huge boos.
The 4 people re-group to huge boos from the crowd as Silver and BSB look at Blanche and Jones with a vicious look. Biggie is sitting up and looks up at Davies and Holly and gives them a middle finger before stumbling to his feet.

[Z-Pack #2 ~ BG Music: 'A Welcome Burden' - Disturbed]

Scott Hudson and Paul Heyman inform us that the Battle Royal is next up!
'Always' by Saliva hits and the crowd boos as Adam Taylor, Steven Dimmock, Joe Whelan, Rhys Hopkins and Ryan Jenkins walk down to the ring. The crowd boos, and they point toward the JumboTron. Suddenly, XCW's The Fox, formerly known as Grandmaster Michaels in the TWF, walks out with a Red Hoodie on, with his usual wrestling gear underneath! The crowd boos and Paul Heyman says that we know the identity of one of the mystery participants!
'Sonne' by Rammstein hits as The AshTaker and Deadman walk down to the ring. Scott Hudson mentions that The AshTaker faces NJS on RAW in a Steel Cage Match, as he challenged him earlier tonight.
'Bodies' hits and the crowd gives a mixed reaction as tHe bPa representation in the match walk down to the ring. Luke Baird, Frekishi, Todd McFarlene walk down to the ring, discussing some kind of plan.
The strobe lights dim as the pyros go off. 'Try Us' hits to huge cheers. TWF Cruiserweight Champion Jean Claude Van Slam and TWF Hardcore Champion The Vamp walk down to the ring to huge cheers. The ring is filling up rapidly and Rachel Stevens is in the thick of it all!
'Never Gonna Stop' hits for the second time of the night as Blade slowly walks down to the ring.
The GCourt Green stays silent, when "Slick" Nick Bampevino from XCW's music hits! The crowd cheers as Nick walks down to the ring with his manager "Extremely Wild" Jeff D. Grunth. Scott Hudson sound surprised that another XCW star has entered the match.
'What About Hawke?' hits to the biggest boos of the evening as Hawke and his manager and girlfriend Falcon walk down to the ring. Almost all of the men in the ring look ready to pounce on Hawke, with Paul Heyman proclaiming that his favourite is Hawke.
However, to one of the biggest pops of the night, 'Somewhere I Belong' blasts over the PA and TWF World Champion The Bandit walks down to the ring. He stops in the middle of the aisle and raises his TWF World Championship which causes fireworks and pyros to go off behind him. It is getting rather dark at GCourt Green and some extra lighting has been turned on to help. The Bandit takes a seat at the announce table and joins Paul Heyman and Scott Hudson providing commentary. Paul immediately sucks up to Bandit, to which Bandit replies that Paul's face will look rather different tomorrow if he doesn't shut up.
'Sexxxy Boy' hits and a mixed reaction is given to AJ Jeffers who walks down to the ring, rather like Shawn Michaels would do.
'Blonde Striker' plays and the crowd cheers Blonde Man walks down to the ring and immediately stands right next to Blade. Paul Heyman that we still have a mystery participant left. Scott Hudson mentions that The AshTaker, Frekishi, Hawke have all held the TWF World Championship, but Scott reminds viewers that Blonde Man defeated Mr. BIG for the championship back in 2000.
Brownie's music hits and the crowd boos as he and Sumo Samurai walk down to the ring. Blonde Man and Blade immediately launch themselves at Brownie. The other wrestlers stand still, awaiting the final participant and the 3rd mystery man!
...'Cowboys From Hell' hits and a pyro lands in the middle of the stage. THE SHOTT WALKS OUT! The crowd cheers as The Shott is making his return to the TWF!
As the match began, everyone launched themselves at Hawke and beat on him, but then the fight broke away and individual battles began. The final 8 were The Shott, Blade, Hawke, JCVS, The Vamp, The AshTaker and "Slick" Nick Bampevino. "Slick" Nick Bampevino was eliminated by Hawke, but he was dealt a double dropkick by JCVS and The Vamp which sent him flying out. The Shott and Blade eliminated each other and their fight went to the backstage area. The AshTaker threw out The Vamp, which left him and JCVS. The Vamp attempted to help his partner, but was only caught up in the hustle as JCVS was eliminated and The AshTaker was declared the winner!
'Sonne' hits and The Bandit gets into the ring and offers his hand in congratulations. The AshTaker shakes it, but The Bandit nails him with The TWF World Championship belt. The AshTaker, still stunned gets nailed with The Stupifier to huge cheers.
'Somewhere I Belong' plays to huge cheers as Bandit poses with the TWF World Championship on the turnbuckles and over The AshTaker on the canvas as TWF RAW draws to an exciting close.
