TWF RAW - Best of 2003 Awards
January 2nd 2004
The Hardkore Cafe, Bridgend Dome, Bridgend

An opening hi-lite reel highlighting the TWF's history plays to open the show.
'Across The Nation' plays to no fireworks, but we are still joined by Scott Hudson & Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, who are standing on a kind of crow's nest over the proceedings below them. There are fans surrounding the upper deck ready to hear who has been announced the winners of some of the most prestigious awards in the TWF in 2004. Scott tells us that tonight, we will count down the top 5 matches & top 5 moments of the year in the TWF, followed by the big announcements of Wrestler of the Year and Hall of Famer 2004!

Rachel Stevens then says that due to the untimely death of the scheduled host Bob Monkhouse on Monday, the TWF has struggled to find someone who will fill in his shoes. So, tonight we will pay tribute to him by having no host. His chair will be left empty and we will celebrate his career with a video package later in the show.

The y2j-ohmeter begins to count down as the fans in attendance cheers...BAM! There are no pyros but 'Away From Me' by Puddle of Mudd plays and the crowd cheers as NJS appears on stage. Rachel Stevens announces he is here to announce the nominees and winners of the TWF Female of 2003. NJS has the nicely crafted award and an envelope in his hand. NJS says that he is proud to present this award of TWF's Female of 2003 to the female who has had the best year in the TWF in 2003. NJS says that he'd also like to say a quick "Get Well Soon" to his buddy, Biggie, who is sitting next to where The Monk would be and a big "Helllloooo" to all his fans in attendance.
NJS reads out the nominations: Atomically Kool Kat, Amii Taylor, Falcon, Holly, Lita, Libra, Rachel Stevens & Summer.
A video package highlighting these female's year's is shown.
NJS says "Drum roll please..." and the winner is...LITA!
'Lovefurypassionenergy' hits and the crowd in attendance cheers. Scott & Bobby also inform us that Lita has won the Manager of the Year Award as well. Lita is really pleased and says that she'd like to thank Mr. BIG, who has helped her in general since coming back from injury, the fans who voted for her and the women of the TWF without whom the division would fall apart. Lita also thanks NJS and the two quickly kiss before walking down the steps and back their seats next to Biggie and HV.

In another crows' nest, Michael King is standing by with Holly. Michael says that this year, the TWF has seen a lot of great moments, and a lot of sad moments as well. Tonight, we will count down the top 5 moments the fans have voted for in the TWF this year. At #5, this moment only happened 2 months ago, but it proved that if the world is going wrong, the TWF is still going right. Holly says that here's favourite moment #5...The Shott's 3rd TWF World Title Win. The crowd cheers as the video package shows the closing moments of the match.

We are back live in The Bridgend Dome and the Hardkore Cafe at the top floor of the Dome with a view of the world. Rachel Stevens announces that our next award is for PPV Music for 2003. Rachel Stevens says that to present this award, they needed someone who knows something about Pay-Per-View...and nothing about wrestling. Please welcome, the lead singer from Disturbed...David Draiman!
The crowd cheers and Mr. BIG & The Bandit smile and laugh with each other and begin a 'Disturbed Rule!' chant which the crowd joins in on. David says that over the past 11 months, TWF has showcased some of the best talent they have to offer in some spectacular ways. From the TLC Match at New Year Partee to the Triple Main Event at Summer Break, it has been an eventful year and every PPV was nominated for this award, and the winner is...Summer Break 2003 (IV)! The crowd cheers and David says that he'll accept this award since his band played there and made the show...lol, the crowd cheers and David says he'd like to thank everyone who was on the show and he dedicates that award to them.

A video package shows the winners of the 'Feuds' Awards.
-- Singles Feud of the Year: Hawke/The Bandit
-- Tag-Team Feud of the Year: Big Sexy Badass & Silver/Red Hoodie Crew
-- Stable Feud of the Year: Rebels With Attitude/Seek And Destroy

Back in the Hardkore Cafe, Mr. Edwards is on stage and is being jeered by the crowd. Mr. Edwards states that he is not up here to slate anyone, in fact he is here to praise everyone in the TWF for the fantastic 2003 the whole promotion had. But in 2003, we have had some highs and some lows. The highs being Summer Break, and lows being the losses of some of the brightest lights in the world of wrestling. Tonight we will pay tribute to all those we have lost and may they perform in the best ring of them all...heaven's ring.
A video package rolls, with some sad, down-beat music, showing highlights of the wrestlers we have lost great careers...Lou Thesz, Road Warrior Hawk, Stu Hart, Crash Holly, Malice/The Wall, Miss Elizabeth and many more. The crowd claps and cheers as the package ends. Mr. Edwards says that in dedication of the great lives these people have had and in celebration of the lives they filled with joy, the TWF is donating £2,500 each to charitable causes, nominated by the families of each of the people we have lost. You may be gone, but you are still with us in our hearts and in our heads. Mr. Edwards walks off stage with the crowd cheering and chanting 'TWF!'

A video package shows the winners of the 'Music' Awards.
-- Superstar Music of the Year - The Bandit: 'Somewhere I Belong' by Linkin Park
-- Stable Music of the Year - Rebels With Attitude: 'Faint' by Linkin Park
-- PPV Music of the Year - Halloween Hell: 'Numb by Linkin Park

Michael King and Holly announce that it's time to reveal the #4 favourite TWF Moment of 2003, as voted for by the fans. Holly looks angry and Michael asks why. Holly says that it's her least favourite moment of the year...when her and Mr. BIG re-united at Against All Odds. The crowd falls silent and everyone turns to Mr. BIG, who is talking with NJS and High Voltage. Biggie just looks up at Holly and shouts "Didn't I Fire You?" and the crowd laughs as the video rolls of what happened.

'High Voltage' by Linkin Parks hits and the crowd cheers as High Voltage walks out onto the stage. He is here to present the award for Breakout Performer of 2003. HV says he is also here to present the award of announcer of the year. Straight off the bat, the Announcer of the Year is Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan! Bobby looks astonished as his old theme hits and he walks down from the crow's nest to the stage. HV congratulates him and then announces the nominees of Breakout Performer of 2003: Big Sexy Badass, Deadman, Jason Davies, Silver, The Assassin & The Bandit. A video package rolls and HV then says that the winner of this award has also won the 'Newcomer of the Year' award...THE BANDIT!
'Somewhere I Belong' hits and The Bandit, JT Money, Biggie and NJS each high-five each other. Deadman looks extremely pissed off at his table. The Bandit says he's firstly like to thank all those who voted for him, the road agents and the people down in BCW who helped work off his ring-rust and Biggie for bringing him to the TWF and letting him have some of the greatest moments of his career take place in the TWF. The three men walk off stage with the crowd cheering.

-- TWF New Year Partee Commercial --

On the commercial, it's announced that a Royal Rumble will be held to determine a #1 Contender for the TWF World Championship and they will face the TWF World Champion at No Way BacK in March!

Rachel Stevens steps up to the rostrum and announces that she is presenting the next award...Tag-Team of 2003. The nominees and the responses were a mixed bag in general, we had a tie for this award. The tie is between Jean Claude Van Slam & The Vamp and Mr. BIG & NJS. The crowd cheers and the two teams look at each other. Rachel then announces that the votes were dead even and in respect of this, the award will be shared between the two teams!
JCVS & The Vamp go up to collect the award and just look delighted. They make no speech and walk straight back down.

A video package shows the winners of the 'In-Ring' Awards:
-- Catchphrase of the Year: Mr. BIG: "Who Betta 'Dan B-I-G?" & Mr. Edwards: "YOU'RE FIRED!"
-- Finisher of the Year: High Voltage/The Assassin: F-5
-- Return of the Year: The Shott @ Grit BasH Battle Royale

Michael King and Holly inform us that they have the 3rd most voted TWF Moment of 2003 up next. It was a truly special sight to behold, at Summer Break, when a legend graced us with his presence. At #3, Ric Flair appears at Summer Break. A quick video package shows, highlighting Ric Flair's career and his appearance.
The video then fades and a tribute to Bob Monkhouse shows. The comedian, who was an encyclopedia of one-liners, died of cancer a few days ago and was the scheduled host of the event.

Marz is already on the stage and he announces that this next award is for Cruiserweight of the Year. Marz once proclaimed himself a Super Heavyweight, but he's now a Cruiserweight and he's gonna win this next award. Marz says they don't even need to read the nominees...the winner is...JCVS?! JCVS walks up to the stage and grabs a microphone and says to Marz that he is so stupid, Marz still is a heavyweight according to the references to his manhood. JCVS says Marz needs a reality check...JCVS is the best cruiserweight! Marz and JCVS leave, and then 'Lovefurypassionenergy' hits once more and Lita appears on stage. She announces that this next award is the 'I Hope They Return Soon' Award. This award is for a superstar who at the beginning of 2003, was not on the active TWF roster due to injury and/or contract negotiations. Lita says that she already has a winner in her head and the crowd is chanting 'Biggie! Biggie! Biggie!'. Lita reads the nominations and the crowd cheers as Biggie walks up to the stage. The Seek And Destroy table and Holly are furious, but Biggie accepts the nomination off Rachel Stevens with a kiss and then kisses Lita. Biggie says that he can't go on without first saying..."Finally, The BIG Storm is back in the Bridgend Dome!". He says he'd like to thank the fans who voted for him and the people who stood by him through thick and thin this year. He says that Frekishi had better watch out, cause come April...The BIG Storm returns!

-- TWF New Year Partee Commercial --
This commercial announces that The Shott will face The Terminator for the TWF World Championship at the event!

Michael King and Holly tell us it is time to reveal the #2 best moment in the TWF in 2003. It is a vital victory for a team, which for a while, we thought would never exist...when the Dream Team's dream came true.

The TWF Owner, and head of the Board of Directors, Douglas Edwards is on stage, surrounded by bodyguards. He is here to announce the winner of the 'Stable of the Year' award. He says that this category this year has some stiff competition. He announces the nominees and then the winner: The Rebels With Attitude! Seek and Destroy look dumbfounded as HV goes up to the stage to collect the award.
Edwards then says that he is also here to announce the Wrestler of the Year. This is the category which everyone is all waiting for...and the top three in reverse order are...Mr. BIG, The Bandit and the winner of both this category and the Favourite Romance of the Year is NJS!
NJS is ecstatic as he collects the award. He simply takes the award holds it up and walks off.

Scott Hudson and Bobby announce we have 2 awards left to announce and they will be making the final presentation. They'd just like to remind us to order New Year Partee, because it promises to be an explosive PPV!

'Prayer' hits and the crowd cheers as Mr. BIG appears on stage with a golden version of the awards trophies which were handed out tonight. Mr. BIG says that he'd like to, on behalf of the TWF, thank The Bridgend Dome, the Hardkore Cafe, Michael King, Rachel Stevens, Scott & Bobby and everyone for turning out tonight. Biggie says that tonight, the TWF celebrated a year that saw many ups and downs. And the winner of this next award has had a lot of ups and downs. A ballot, as many people would know, was held by the TWF, to determine who would be the next wrestler to be inducted into the TWF Hall of Fame below us. Biggie says that the winner was rather overwhelming. And he won't be forgotten...a video package starts up, and it's of The Shott's greatest moments. The Shott is motionless and his table is just patting him on the back. The video package ends and Biggie announces that the TWF Hall of Fame inductee of 2003 is The Shott! The crowd rises with cheers and gives The Shott a huge standing ovation. The Shott grabs the microphone and says that he'd like to thank everyone. The fans, the people behind the scenes...Biggie, everyone. The Shott says he is overwhelmed to have won this award and he will miss everyone when he leaves in March. The Shott hugs Biggie and Biggie just raises his hand before leading The Shott off the stage.

Scott and Bobby up in the crow's nest say that ends tonight's show. But Bobby reminds him we have one last award to present...for match of 2003. Scott and Bobby say they have announced over 100s of matches this year, but the top 12 they choose got put to the public, and we had a final five. They were...
No Way BacK: Mr. BIG vs. 'Stone Kold' Karl Davies
Total Chaos: Hawke vs. The Bandit (Pyramid Cage)
Summer Break: 4-Team TLC
Summer Break: Mr. BIG vs. 'Stone Kold' Karl Davies
Dangerously Serious: Jason Davies vs. Blonde Man
The winner of this award...is the Pyramid Cage match! The crowd cheers as Scott and Bobby say good night as the match begins once more.
