TWF Wednesday Grit BasH
April 21st 2004
The XCW Arena, Brackla, Bridgend

A highlight reel, informing us of the events at an explosive Easter HeAT PPV opens the show.

'Heavy' hits up for the first time in a long while and the old Grit BasH set is setup in the XCW Arena! We're going retro tonight on Grit BasH! Scott Hudson and Joey Styles are at ringside and they inform us that NJS is nowhere to be seen, as is Frekishi after Easter HeAT, where both men were injured. NJS, of course, was dually screwed by Mr. Edwards out of the xWa Championship.

'Seek And Destroy' hits and the crowd boos loudly as Seek and Destroy make their way down to the ring. Hawke and Mr. Edwards are leading the way down to the ring with xWa Tag-Team Champions Marz & The Terminator, Jason Davies, Falcon, Rhys Evans and Lt. Sumo Samurai following close behind. Mr. Edwards grabs a microphone from ring announcer Rachel Stevens and informs the crowd that at Easter HeAT...NJS finally was upended. His mammoth run as xWa Champion was ended. And who by? The greatest wrestler alive today...Hawke. The crowd boos as Edwards continues by saying that NJS had it coming. He had been screwing with Hawke and after Hawke was Buried Alive at Deadly MindGames, Hawke had a chance at revenge, and he took it. He shoved NJS in an Ambulance never to be seen again. Seek And Destroy now has the xWa Champion and the xWa Tag-Team Champions...and what do the Rebels With Attitude have? NOTHING! Edwards reminds us that High Voltage won the TWF World Championship, and the Rebels have no gold at all. And he who has the gold, has the power...and the Rebels are on an empty-tank!
Suddenly, the helicopter flies around Chicago and 'Somewhere I Belong' starts up as the TWF Intercontinental Champion, The Bandit and his long-time tag team partner, JT Money walk out onto the stage. Bandit starts by saying that it's great to be going retro here tonight in the XCW Arena. He gets a cheap pop, before informing Edwards that the Rebels do have a few things going for them. They have the TWF Intercontinental Champion, The Bandit. They have a 20-plus time World Champion and Living Leg-end, JT Money. And they have the TWF CEO...Uncle Biggie himself. Edwards informs the two men that they have no idea what they have let themselves in for. They have interrupted his TV time, and now they are gonna pay. Bandit asks if he wants a cheque so he can buy a girl for Hawke or cash-up-front. The crowd laughs and Edwards is irate. Edwards informs JT and Bandit that they will face Marz & The Terminator right here, tonight in a Non-Title Match. Bandit and JT smile and inform Seek And Destroy that now they have messed with them...they won't live through tomorrow! 'Somewhere I Belong' hits as the nWo Sickness walks backstage.

Backstage; Big Sexy Badass, Silver, Summer and The Assassin are in the Rebels With Attitude locker room along with Mr. BIG. BSB asks Biggie if there's a chance that they can get a re-match for the xWa Tag-Team Championships. Biggie says he's working on it. He says it may come on April 30th at the TJS Centre on RAW, but he's hopeful. Suddenly, there's a knock at the door and Lita enters, looking angry. She walks up to Biggie and slaps him in the face. Biggie asks what that was for. Lita asks him where he was when NJS was getting assaulted last night. Biggie told her, he was receiving medical attention after tlC IV. The Bandit was only a split-second too late. Lita looks pissed off and Biggie says she has no reason to be. NJS has a lot planned for him and her, and slapping his best friend is not the right way about going about things. The Triple Threat team looks on as Lita exits. Biggie looks at The Assassin and shrugs his shoulders. Assassin shrugs back and Mr. BIG grabs a Cherry Coke before sitting down.

'Out Of My Way' hits to huge cheers in the arena as Blonde Man walks down to the ring for a TWF Television Championship title defence in a moment. Footage shows of his victory in the opening match at Easter HeAT, against 'The Mangler' Gareth Cole.
'Never Gonna Stop' hits and the crowd cheers once more as Blade poses on the stage before walking down the aisle. Blade was one of the best TV Champions in the title's short history, but Blonde Man looks to be just as good as a champion.
These two men contested a great contest of technical skill and showed off a few moves that wouldn't be a miss in the old Cruiserweight division. However, Blonde Man hit the Karate Kick for the victory, but then through the crowd came Gareth Cole! He beat down on Blade, an old nemesis from their RWF days, to huge jeers. Blonde Man however, evened the score and aided Blade and Gareth Cole high-tailed it out of the ring, sensing no revenge. Cole continued the trash talking as he walked backstage.

[TWF Returns!]

The arena darkens as the infamous words of 'Just Think About It' appear on screen. The crowd cheers as a flashback through a storied career flashes by...BANG! 'Prayer' hits as Mr. BIG appears on the ramp in some retro 2000 clothing, including his famous 'Bring The Pain' T-Shirt. He steps into the ring and takes a microphone from Rachel Stevens and addresses the crowd. He starts off by reclaiming that "Finally...The BIG Storm...has come back...to the XCW Arena!". The crowd cheers as Mr. BIG says that at Easter HeAT, it was supposed to be a glorious return. He was returning to the ring after 6 months out with a shoulder injury, and what happens? Well, he'll show you. Footage shows of the close of tlC IV at Easter HeAT, where High Voltage and Frekishi chokeslam Mr. BIG through the cell. Biggie says that he had a feeling Frekishi would dare do such a thing, but High Voltage? So Biggie wants HV out here right now! Biggie has called out High Voltage!
"Well I'm Here"...BAM! BANG! BOOM! 'High Voltage' by Linkin Park hits to a varied reaction from the crowd as High Voltage, wearing a Hawaiian Shirt and Sunglasses, walks down to the ring. HV enters the ring and asks Biggie to move out of the way so he can pose with his TWF World Championship, but Biggie refuses to cheers. HV poses on each turnbuckle besides the one Biggie is standing in. Biggie says that he'd firstly like to congratulate High Voltage on his TWF World Championship victory at Easter HeAT. HV nods and smiles and thanks Biggie. Biggie says that the reason he has asked HV out here is because he wants to know something. Biggie rolls footage of Grit BasH on March 31st, where High Voltage speared Mr. BIG. HV looks on and Biggie asks him a simple question with only three letters...w-h-y?
High Voltage takes a microphone and a chant of 'Asshole' starts up and HV informs Biggie they are calling him an Asshole. The crowd jeers even more as HV tells Biggie his reasoning. HV, when he was part of the Rebels With Attitude was sick of standing in Biggie's shadow. Wherever he want, Biggie would always tag-along so he'd get more over. HV says he knows, because Biggie was like it in school too. Biggie says that HV needs to know something. HV would be nothing if Biggie hadn't put his body and reputation on the line on more than one occasion. Summer Break 2001 for instance, one of the greatest Summer Break matches in history, Biggie vs. HV, Double Tables for the TWF World Championship. The crowd cheers on the thought of this memorable match. Biggie says that he sacrificed a lot when he trained HV, and he was as proud as anyone can be when he stood at the top of the Steel Cage at Easter HeAT 2002 after beating The Shott for the TWF World Championship...but he hasn't been justified. Why did he turn on him? HV says that it was not only because he was in Biggie's shadow, but because Biggie isn't in his league. Mr. BIG last held the TWF World Championship between August 18th 2002 and September 8th 2002...since that time, High Voltage has held the World Title twice, and for twice as long as Biggie. Biggie is not in High Voltage's league! Biggie says fine, if that's your reasoning, you'll just have to find out why Mr. BIG was called 'The Only One'. Mr. BIG says that he'd love to beat High Voltage's ass in-front of 40,000+ plus at Ford Field at Cyberslam II, but only if High Voltage has enough guts to prove he's in Biggie's league! Scott Hudson remarks that this could be an unbelievable match!
High Voltage pauses and accepts this, to the cheers of the crowd. Biggie offers to shake HV's hand in luck. The two men extend hands and they shake and HV looks to let go ASAP...but Biggie yanks him in like a fishing rod and hits him with The Equaliser! The crowd cheers as Mr. BIG grabs a hold of the microphone and says that at Cyberslam, he'll teach HV that Pain Is Just Weakness Leaving The Body...WHO BETTA?! 'Prayer' hits to huge cheers as Biggie poses on two turnbuckles before walking backstage, with High Voltage recouping after what has just happened.

--- XCW Anarchy Rulz Highlights ---

Scott Hudson and Joey Styles congratulate XCW on another great PPV in Anarchy Rulz, which took place on Sunday. Scott and Joey also replay what happened moments ago, where Mr. BIG challenged High Voltage to a match at TWF Cyberslam II on May 23rd!

'Slow Chemical' hits and the crowd jeers as The Vamp walks down to the ring. The Vamp managed to defeat JCVS at Easter HeAT to regain the TWF Hardkore Championship, and that has not gone down with the army of JC's fans.
'Always' hits and the crowd gives a mixed reaction as Ryan Jenkins walks down to the ring with Adam Taylor and Stephen Dimmock of the Red Hoodie Crew. The two non-competitors are dressed in their typical Red Hoodies for this upcoming bout.
The Vamp used his sheer strength and craziness to control Jenkins in a very up-tempo match. However, JCVS made his way to the ring, and he attacked Ryan Jenkins, giving Jenkins a DQ Victory! The crowd cheers as JC beats on Jenkins, but the Hoodie Crew up-ended JC to huge boos. The Vamp had left the ring and was smiling on the ramp with his Hardkore Title on his shoulder before walking backstage. The Hoodie Crew continued to beat down on JCVS before walking backstage themselves, leaving HV in a bloody pulp.

Backstage; Seek And Destroy are 'hangin' out' in their locker room. Hawke and Falcon are bunched up on a sofa, whilst Frekishi, The Protégé, Marz and The Terminator are all deep in conversation. Suddenly, Mr. Edwards and Lt. Sumo Samurai walk in through the door. The two men ask the troops to listen up. Sumo says that they have just received word that Mr. BIG and HV's match is official and Sumo also says that Seek And Destroy can use it to their advantage. Hawke asks how. Edwards says that Biggie is gonna be more concerned with his match with HV than anything, so they can rip the Rebels With Attitude to pieces. The crowd jeers as Seek And Destroy unite in the middle of their locker room and and begin chanting "Who Betta? We Are!".

[TWF Returns!]

Scott Hudson and Joey Styles remind us that TWF Cyberslam, the very next TWF Pay-Per-View is scheduled to take place on May 23rd from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan! Be sure to order it on Pay-Per-View because the main event was announced earlier...Mr. BIG will face High Voltage in a match for the annals!

Backstage; High Voltage is seen walking towards the parking lot of the arena, when Michael King catches up with him. King asks HV why he is leaving so soon. High Voltage grabs the microphone and shoves King out of the picture. HV looks into the camera and says that he does not like getting embarrassed, and what Biggie just did was very embarrassing for him and he'd rather not be around to see the rest of tonight's show. With that, HV hands King back the microphone and heads for his new Range Rover, which is parked in-between The Assassin's Mazda MX-5 and Mr. BIG's Porsche 911 Turbo. HV places his kitbag in the back of the car and drives off.

In the arena...'Last Time Again' by LIT begins to play and the crowd jeers in complete unison. The chants of "Marz Sucks! Marz Sucks!" begins as Marz walks out on to the stage. Marz just smiles as he walks down the ramp way. He waits patiently as 'Low' by Foo Fighters, taken from the new TWF Album 3, blasts over the PA to boos as The Terminator walks out slowly with the xWa Tag-Team Championship wrapped neatly around his waist. Mr. Edwards eventually follows the two men down to the ring and watches proudly on the outside as they pose with the gold.
The arena darkens to cheers..."n............W............o" BAM! 'Down With The Sickness' by Disturbed hits and the crowd's cheers get a lot louder as The Bandit and JT Money walk down to the ring in their old nWo Sickness gear. It truly is a retro night here on Grit BasH!
These two teams contested a retro match on retro night that, however, won't be forgotten. It was a real joy to see the nWo Sickness back, and back to kick some ass. Marz and The Terminator, despite being TWF veterans, are an 'in-experienced' tag team by a large margin, but that didn't let them down. Both teams contested a 'slobberknocker' by JR's standards, but it had to end eventually. The Bandit hit The Stupifier and looked to apply The Bandit Stretch on Marz. JT had hit the J-T-T on The Terminator and was looking to hit The Money Shot. Bandit applied The Bandit Stretch to cheers, but Marz managed to reverse it into his Razor Leg Lock! Mr. Edwards at ringside had called for the bell...your winners, via submission...Marz & The Terminator!
The crowd was livid! Edwards celebrated with Marz and Terminator and Hawke joined in the festivities at ringside. But then, a voice could be heard over the microphone...it was Mr. BIG! He said that it just wouldn't be retro night if Biggie didn't go old skool on Hawke, Marz and The Terminator, ay?! Biggie walked out on the ramp with The Assassin and Bandit and JT in the ring are smiling. Hawke and Co. are standing on the ramp and Biggie says he also has a little surprise...in the style of Al Pacino in Scarface..."Say Hello to my lil' friend..." and Biggie pulls out his trusty old Lead Pipe! Marz looks like he has shat himself! Marz will remember the days when Biggie walked around with his Lead Pipe and the TWF World Championship like they were his children!
Biggie and The Assassin charge at Seek And Destroy, but they split apart and leap over the rails and head for the exits. Biggie and The Assassin still walk down to the ring and pose on the turnbuckles. Biggie calls for the beverages as 'Down With The Sickness' hit once more. Bandit grabs a Mountain Dew, JT Money grabs a Pepsi Blue whilst Biggie and The Assassin down a few Cherry Cokes in celebration.
Oh What A Night!
