TWF Wednesday Grit BasH
July 28th 2004
Newbridge Fields, Bridgend, Wales

A highlights package opens the show with highlights from Total Chaos, last Sunday.

'Heavy' hits once more and the capacity crowd of over 20,000 people at Newbridge Fields cheers loudly as the fireworks go off. The stage has been altered with one main TotalTron, with three smaller ones beneath it. Tonight, our much anticipated main event will see Mr. BIG defend his TWF World Championship against Marz, who 'beat' AJ Jeffers at Total Chaos to earn his shot at the title. Scott Hudson and Joey Styles are at ringside, and also tonight, The Bandit defends his IC Title against The Vamp and High Voltage and Frekishi are also expected to wrestle as well!

'Out of My Way' hits and the crowd cheers as The Protégé makes his way down to the ring with Steven Jenkins and Hayley Holder. Jenkins fought Brownie in the opening match at Total Chaos, and was unsuccessful in his match, thanks to a distraction from his own manager. Footage shows of the closing moments of that match.
'Broken' by 12 Stones plays for the first time in a while as Brownie hits the ring. Of course, it wasn't so long ago Team EV was a very active team, until they lost the TWF Tag-Team Championships to The Rogerz at Against All Odds in June.
This opening contest was brutal. Each man made sure each punch was made with power and fury. Jenkins's presence at ringside was an advantage to Protégé, who tried to ensure a victory. However, it all looked to be over for the duo when Brownie managed to hit the Karate Kick, out of absolutely nowhere! Jenkins came in and attacked Brownie from behind, giving him a disqualification victory. Jenkins hit a Jenkins DDT on Brownie before leaving the ring. Blonde Man came down to the ring to the aide of his brother, but Jenkins and Protégé were already half way back up the ramp, and walked behind the curtain, leaving Blonde Man to pick up the pieces.

Backstage; we see Marz and AJ Jeffers walking in between some production trucks, on their way to the ring!

--- XCW Control Highlights ---
[BG Music: 'Everlong' - Foo Fighters]

Scott Hudson and Joey Styles thank XCW for putting on a GREAT show on Sunday night with Control. They plug XCW's next PPV, 'Sweet Pain', which takes place on August 22nd, exactly one week after the big one...T-W-F Summer Break V.
'The Last Time Again' by LIT plays, and the crowd jeers loudly as Marz and AJ Jeffers walk down to the ring modelling identical "We Screwed You" t-shirts. Footage shows on the Jumbo TotalTron of what happened at Total Chaos, when AJ Jeffers laid down for Marz, and Marz gained a TWF World Championship match, which will take place later on in the programme.
AJ Jeffers takes the microphone and says that "Finally...AJ Jeffers...is back at Newbridge...Newbridge...Newbridge the Shit hole!", mocking Mr. BIG. AJ says that at Total Chaos, they managed to do something no one would ever possibly think of doing. They managed to out-smart the entire xWa. How? Because AJ and Marz kept their alliance a secret...something which has never been done in the TWF. In the TWF-xWa, secrets are extremely hard to keep. Particularly with all the politics that goes on backstage in the TWF, but tonight, they go one better...Marz will beat that piece of garbage Mr. BIG and get them the biggest piece of gold of them all...the Total Wrestling Federation World Championship.
Marz now takes the microphone to huge boos from the capacity crowd. Marz tells them, in his trademark way, to "Shut the fuck up" before continuing. Marz begins by saying that there is no-one, and he means...NO-ONE, who has had a career quite like his. He was the first TWF Full House Winner...he was TWF Chairman and then formed TECW, which almost ran this company out of business...and now, as the final insult to these fans, he will become THEIR World Champion! How does that make them feel? Well, it will get much worse for them. Because, Marz and AJ have already begun forming a plan which will mean that THEY will take over the Total Wrestling Federation forever more...and they will drive Mr. BIG, NJS and Lita out of the TWF! Marz says that "The Champion has spoken, and you have a right to remain silent in his presence!".
'The Last Time Again' hits as Marz and AJ walk back up the ramp with huge smiles on their faces. The pose in front of the Jumbo TotalTron before walking behind it.

[TWF Returns!]

We are back in an overcast Newbridge Fields for tonight's TWF Grit BasH...which is brought to you by Honda, The Power of Dreams; and Duff Beer...Beer? Think Duff!

The arena darkens and footage of a helicopter flying around Chicago is shown. The chopper flies all around the city of Chicago, passing it's famous landmarks. Then, it flies into the direction of the Sears Tower and then 'Somewhere I Belong' starts up. The Bandit, the TWF Intercontinental Champion, walks out and poses in the middle of the stage with his strap, causing fireworks to go off on both sides. Footage shows of the WarGames match, where Bandit managed to make Jason Davies tap-out to the Bandit Stretch and gain a win for his Rebels With Attitude team.
BOOM! 'Slow Chemical' begins to play, and slowly, the masked man known only as The Vamp, makes his way down to the ring for this non-title match. The Vamp is a former 7-time TWF Hardkore Champion and former TWF UK Heavyweight Champion, but, he may now set his sights on the TWF Intercontinental Championship.
This was a match you would expect from someone like Bandit, with masses of potential and skill at his disposal. But, The Vamp also used his style of straight-up boxing like pounces to make sure Bandit's attacks were limited. However, this had no factor on the winner. Bandit had hit The Stupifier and was looking to hit The Bandit Bomb, when from through the crowd came JCVS! We haven't seen him since he was injured at Against All Odds! He came in through the crowd and distracted referee Peter Cavalli, and Vamp rolled up Bandit! 1-2-3!
'Slow Chemical' hit and the crowd jeered. JCVS goes back through the crowd, but no-one is sure what to think...was it a mistake on JCVS's part, or are the Dreem Team about to reform at last?

Backstage; The Assassin is walking down the hallway in his casual gear, when he walks by a vending machine. He stops, gets a can of Coke, and turns around to be greeted by Hawke. Hawke tells Assassin that it isn't all over between the two enemies. Hawke told Assassin after Deadly MindGames that he wished he wouldn't mess with him, and now, he will pay. Hawke looks ready to attack, when Assassin stops him in his tracks. Assassin says that since Hawke wants to kick his ass so much, why don't they fight at the biggest PPV of them all...Summer Break V? Assassin then says that he also has a friend who'd seriously like to kick your ass too...so we don't we make it a tag-team match? Hawke smiles and agrees, and they go their separate ways.

'Fhat Man' plays to a varied reaction as Frekishi makes his way down to the ring for this 'revenge' match with High Voltage. Footage shows of their fall-out from Total Chaos on Sunday. Frekishi was seen by many to be the recipient of the anger, so he looks to have had the crowd's blessing here tonight.
"Well, I'm Here!" BAM! BANG! BOOM! The crowd jeers loudly as High Voltage walks onto the ramp. The rain has begun to spit down, so the canopies are being rolled out and the floodlights turned on. HV hits the bottom of the ramp and cockily poses before entering the ring, only to be met by a massive big boot from Frekishi.
The two men, former friends, now bitter rivals, contested a short match. Why? They got disqualified for not just attacking referee Kevin Poole, but for using steel chairs, garbage cans and sledgehammers. They two continued their blood bath until both men were knocked out. EMTs were called to the ring and both were taken backstage for further treatment.

Backstage; NJS is with Michael King. NJS says that it is great to be in Newbridge Fields and he is extremely excited because after Mr. BIG defeats Marz tonight, they are on the road to Summer Break...where they WILL become TWF Tag-Team Champions. NJS also tells the viewers that he is extremely proud that Mr. BIG put his dreams in front of his own, and only a true friend would do that. So, as far as he is concerned, the Z-Pack is back, and it is here to stay. King then asks about his opinions on tonight's main event. NJS says that should there be any problems, he has his best buddy's back...and a warning to Marz...Biggie says "You're Next Jerky!".

[TWF Returns!]

--- XCW Control Highlights ---
[BG Music: 'Everlong' - Foo Fighters]

Rachel Stevens gets onto the microphone, and cuts a silence..."Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is your main event and is scheduled for one fall. This match is for the TWF World Championship!". The crowd leaps out of their seats, and deservedly so.
'The Last Time Again' hits and the crowd BOOS with fury. "And introducing first, the challenger...from Brackla, Bridgend; weighing in at 98lbs...he is the God of War...MARZ!". Marz makes his way down to the ring with AJ Jeffers at his side and they pose on the turnbuckles. AJ leaves the ring and Marz warms up as he waits the champion.
"And his opponent..."...'Just-Just-Just Think About It'! The crowd leaps back out of their seats as the lights go out...the greatest hiTz montage flies by...BANG! "WHERE'S YOUR CROWN KING NOTHING?!"...Mr. BIG appears on stage, and it is deafening! The crowd is going bananas! "now residing in Broadlands, Bridgend, from Brackla, Bridgend; weighing in at 200lbs, he is the current, reigning and defending TWF World Champion...MR. BIG!". Biggie high-fives each and every fan around ringside before posing on the turnbuckles. He hands his belt to referee Bob Sage and the match begins.
This match was quite unbelievable. The two old friends, turned enemies, let themselves go, beating the living hell out of each other. The crowd was jakked, anticipating a great match. Mr. BIG dominated for the majority, hitting The Firebreather in the middle of the match, and the pinfall was only interrupted with a distraction from AJ Jeffers. But, the crowd was shocked at what followed. Mr. BIG had hit a Spinebuster and The BIG Elbow. He looked down and smiled. He smiled at the crowd in that familiar way, meaning that The BIG Storm is coming up...when The Rogerz ran down to the ring! They attempted to distract Biggie, but NJS took the fight to them on the stage...as Biggie turned around...Hawke planted him with The Evenflow! Marz covered...not this way, surely? 1.....2....3!
HOLY SHIT! IT HAPPENED! NOOOOO! "Here is your winner...and NEW TWF WORLD CHAMPION - MARZ!". Marz smiled from ear to ear as Mr. BIG lay in the ring. Marz picks up the TWF World Championship and now poses with it. Marz calls for Budweiser and he passes one to AJ Jeffers, and then offers one to Hawke...AND HE ACCEPTS?! This is some kind of TRIAD? NJS cannot believe it. He walks backstage with fury as Marz pours Budweiser over Mr. BIG before posing as this shocking edition of Grit BasH came to a close.
