RWF Gets Bought Out by The Shott
3rd Aug, 2004 at 9:38pm
There are no actions to perform.
BROADLANDS, BRIDGEND - [Tuesday, August 3rd 2004] The Total Wrestling Federation© (FTSE: TWF) has announced a press conference today at TWF™ Towers that it has finalized a deal that sees Ben 'The Shott™' Shottle recieve full ownership of the Rebel Wrestling Federation© from the xTreMe Wrestling Alliance©, but still recieves it's backing. This comes just over a year after Shottle was part of a deal that saw the RWF return under his co-ownership with Rhys Reed. However, in late September, after poorly booked shows and problems within the company, Reed aquired Shottle's stake in the promotion, and when Reed seemingly left the company, the xWa was left to pick up the pieces.
Shottle said of the deal "I am very pleased to re-aquire the RWF. I want to make it as strong a brand as possible. I think that if we worked hard enough, and with the xWa's backing, the RWF could become the #3 promotion behind the TWF and XCW". Shottle also said "I think WEW are a very strong promotion, and I think right now we are level. I'm looking forward to competing with them for status". As xWa policy, the details of the deal were not disclosed, although Shottle was apparently only asking for £3,000,000 for the entire company. Negociations apparently saw the price lower further.
Meanwhile, former co-owner Reed is furious. He has released a statement through his lawyers stating "If Ben Shottle wants to run the RWF, he must first consult the original promoter and owner, Me. I created the RWF and when I gave the xWa my stake I ensured my interests were being best kept. I will fight this decision to the very end".
The xTreMe Wrestling Alliance was formed in December 2002 by the Total Wrestling Federation, based at TWF Towers & Xtreme Championship Wrestling, based at the XCW Arena campus. It has since expanded to include World Extreme Wrestling, also based at the XCW Arena campus and the Xtreme Wrestling Federation which is based in Chicago, Illinois.
The Total Wrestling Federation Inc.© (FTSE: TWF) is a wrestling, media, entertainment incorporated company, formed in February 2000. The TWF's© live programming, Wednesday Grit BasH™ and Friday FURY™ are the highest rated programming on Sky Sports 1 and the xWn respectively. The company is based in both Brackla, Bridgend at the famous TWF™ Towers and with offices in Broadlands, Bridgend. The company also owns a stake in The Bridgend Dome™ and owns The TWF Arena™. The company's website http://www.twfwrestling2k.cjb.net is the most successful Welsh Promotion's Official Site]. The TWF Discussion Forums™ have acheived over 18,000 hits in just over a year and was the first Welsh Promotion to do build it's own Discussion Forums.

Rhys, allow me to state, this is an angle. The RWF actually got deleted a while back. God damn it...the fickle minds of the youth of today.
