TWF PayBack 2004
December 19th 2004
Cardiff International Arena, Cardiff

The show opened with the usual video intro, showcasing the build up to the event tonight. "December is a time for giving and receiving. Most of the country will be opening presents and expressing sheer delight. But we are unlike most people. Tonight, there will be celebration for the few, pity for the many. Greed and self-importance is the only thing these men and women want. However, with such a position, there comes an opportunity to change the course of history. Tonight, there is an opportunity for revenge...there's a chance at PayBack".

"And now...the xWa presents...TWF PayBack"! The capacity crowd explodes as the fireworks go off and the pyros are set alight. It's finally PayBack time! 'Nothing Wrong' by Jimmy Eat World echoes through out the CIA PA and we glance up to see that hanging ominously above the ring is the House of Pain, that will be used in the huge Intercontinental Championship match later tonight. Also, Mastermind faces The Shott for the TWF World Championship, and Mr. BIG and NJS re-unite to put away the threat of the Triad.

'666, The Number of The Beast' plays over the PA, and the crowd begins to boo loudly as The Fox walks down to the ring, doing some air guitar poses. He looks to have a chip on his shoulder tonight, and we are shown pre-recorded comments from The Fox, saying that tonight, he settles a score that's years old with AJ Jeffers.
'Sexy Boy' hits and the females cheer and groan as AJ Jeffers walks out onto the stage looking "ravishing" this evening. He does his usual pose, but points back toward the stage, where The Assassin walks out! The crowd's cheers get louder as The Assassin walks down to the ring following AJ. The Fox is beside himself in the ring and cannot believe it.
This was a great opening match and the two really did seem ready to settle an old score. These two were a part of the original TWF in 2000, but The Fox only returned to the TWF this year after an absence of almost 4 years. AJ seemed the most in-control of the competitors, buoyed by The Assassin's appearance at ringside. However, this appearance almost cost AJ the match, for when the two were planning their next move, The Fox dropkicked AJ over the top rope and into Assassin, who just rolled AJ back into the ring. Assassin and referee Peter Cavalli argued over the Fox's actions, The Fox hit AJ with Sweet Shin Music! Assassin, irate in rage, went to grab a steel chair but Cavalli saw the cover! 1-2-3!
'666' hits, and the crowd boos and Scott Hudson exclaims that The Fox stole this one. The Assassin does enter the ring and just nails Fox with a brutal shot to the ribs and then F-5s him onto the chair! Assassin picks up AJ Jeffers and the two leave the ring with the Fox face down on the canvas.

Scott Hudson and Joey Styles remind us that this is the final TWF Pay-Per-View of 2004 and they have enjoyed announcing the shows this year and they proudly claim that 2004 was the best year in the TWF's history. Joey Styles then reminds us that as soon as PayBack finishes, the polls will open on the TWF Web to vote in the 3rd Annual TWF Best of... Awards. The winners will be announced on a Best of 2004 FURY Special from the Hardkore Cafe in the Bridgend Dome on New Year's Eve.

Backstage; Hawke is with Michael King. King asks Hawke about his thoughts of 2004. Hawke says that he can't stop 2004 for being remembered as the year NJS and Biggie did it and the TWF hit it big. The crowd in the arena cheers, but Hawke orders them to stop and says that in 2005, Hawke and the Triad will stop at nothing to remind the fans that they are the dominant force in the TWF. Hawke says that Biggie will be far too busy "trying" to follow NJS and become a father but he can't because his stupid girlfriend can't get it, and NJS will be far too busy with his wife, which leaves a big hole to fill. Hawke says that tonight, he and Frekishi will set the tone for 2005 by taking the TWF Tag-Team Championships from the Z-Pack and sending them straight down-hill.

BAM! 'Down in the Catabombs' hits to huge cheers from the crowd as Owen Carl leads out his client Hades for this match. We are shown pre-recorded comments from Carl on behalf of Hades, who says that tonight, the time for The Jock's dominance is over and that Hades will put them in their place. Hades seems very contempt to hear what Carl has to say.
'Crush'em [Jock Mix]' hits, and the crowd boos loudly, as Team EV; Blonde Man & Brownie, make their way down to the ring in their matching jackets and with Holly by their side. Holly walks down to the ring and looks to be staring right through Owen Carl. Team EV enter the ring and immediately Hades goes right after them.
Hades dominated this match with a great display of his strength and managed to out-wit and out-think the experienced tandem of Team EV. Team EV did show some of their talents and proved why they are due for a TWF Tag-Team Championship shot. However, when Holly got involved, to her surprise, The Assassin walked down to ringside, picked her up and took her out of the ring! Team EV were lost! Suddenly, both were nailed with a Double Clothesline from Hades, Brownie rolled out of the ring to grab a steel chair, by which point, Hades had already been summoned to "finish him off" and he did, hitting Blonde Man with the Hades Driver and getting the 3-count and the victory.
'Down in the Catabombs' hits to HUGE cheers from the crowd as Hades, Owen Carl and The Assassin (with Holly still on his back) looking over the carnage left from Hades' efforts. Assassin still has a hold of Holly, and Carl speaks to her. She looks to be refusing to his demands and now Assassin gives her a huge spinebuster! The crowd pops and Assassin flies off the ropes to deliver The Assassin's Elbow. The three men leave to huge cheers from the crowd, leaving the Jocks to pick up the pieces.

--- TWF 2005 Commercial ---

We return from the commercial to hear Scott Hudson and Joey Styles remind us that the next TWF PPV is on January 9th 2005 from the Bridgend Recreation Centre in Bridgend. Then, the TWF will follow that up with Bash at the Beach, live from Dubai, on Friday February 4th 2005!
'Never Gonna Stop' hits and the crowd boos furiously as the smoke fills up the stage. Blade walks down to the ring, looking as cocky as ever. We are reminded that this whole story began when Matthew Jones appeared to rejoin the TWF about 2 weeks ago and attacked Blade and now Blade will fancy his chances against the former superstar.
'Like the Angel' by Rise Against plays, and the crowd gives a varied reaction to Matthew Jones as he walks down to the ring. Some members of the crowd will remember how he left the company, whilst others seem to cheer because of their pure hatred towards Blade.
This was a good Hardkore Championship match. Not one of the best, but these matches are often filled with lots of weapon shots and are perhaps less about wrestling ability. Nevertheless, the two men contested a fairly even contest, with both men getting the advantage in proceedings at various points throughout the match. Blade used his hardkore status to score some big moves, culminating with a massive superplex from the top rope onto a chair. The crowd loved to boo Blade tonight, and this willed Blade on, and he managed to hit the Blazer to score a 1-2-3 pinfall victory.
The crowd booed loudly as Blade was handed the Hardkore Championship belt. Jones came to his feet and looked to go after Blade, but the cowardly champion left the ring quickly. Blade posed on the ramp before walking backstage, with Matthew Jones just staring right through him.

Backstage; Marz is seen in a quiet corner of the CIA when he is approached by Holly. Marz comments that the last time Holly said remotely anything to him was almost 5 years ago when he was in F-X and Holly was still a blonde bimbo. The crowd cheers but Holly says that she has a proposition for him. Holly understands that the reason Marz was thrown into this match was because Mr. Edwards felt he deserved to be punished for his actions years and years ago. Holly says that the perfect, in the words of Biggie, "Booya" would be to win the match. Holly says as much as she'd like that to happen, that involves the defeat of two of her clients. Holly says that should Marz defeat her men tonight, she will give him holy hell. Marz then comments that Holly can say all she likes, because she is forgetting who Marz is. Marz is a member of the Triad and he can convince Hawke to screw the Jocks around by putting them in match after match after match until they hit a point they get so pissed off, they'll leave and never come back, leaving Holly in another "crisis", like she had when she was with Biggie. Marz says as much as he hates Biggie and everything he stands for, people are now beginning to agree: Holly is nothing but a dumb, £2-an-hour, milk sucking bitch. The crowd cheers as Marz walks away, with Holly shouting "I'll get you, you microbe", to which Marz replies "If you can find me".

'Around the World' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers begins to play and The Protégé walks down to the ring with the TWF Television Championship. Scott and Joey remind us how this feud started not so long ago between these two combatants in the match.
'Raining Blood' hits and the crowd boos as Stephen Dimmock walks out with Ryan Jenkins. However, referee Sophie Matravers is quick to send Jenkins to the back! The crowd cheers and Dimmock is looking lost already and you got the feeling that Protégé had a major advantage going into the match now.
This one of the most entertaining matches on the card, and a hark back to the days of the 24/7 Hardkore Championship era. The two men took their fight all over the building, including in the stands, backstage and then they managed to make their way out into the parking lot! Then they managed to battle up into Cardiff's main shopping street which was dead. But, it didn't stop Protégé from using some quick thinking, such as hitting Dimmock with a DDT on top of a trash can. Protégé rolled Dimmock over and covered for the victory, and whilst Dimmock nursed his head from the brutal force of the DDT, Protégé was left to celebrate as he walked back to the arena.

Backstage; The Shott is with Mr. Smooth. Smoothy asks Shott for his final thoughts going into the huge TWF World Championship main event tonight. The Shott says that over the past few weeks, he has proved Mastermind wrong. The Shott says that Mastermind is no mastermind. He is no great thinker. His victory against Frekishi was a fluke and the world knows it. Tonight, The Shott will prove that two wrongs do make a right when he becomes only the second 4-Time TWF World Champion in TWF history. And that will be no fluke, because The Shott is #1, the best one! The crowd boos as The Shott walks away looking very happy with what he had just said.

In the arena..."CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES", "THIS IS MY LAST RESORT"! The roar of the motorcycle can be heard echoing as Big Sexy Badass, Silver and Summer make their way out. BSB gets his motorcycle in-between the two lovers for a unique pose before roaring down to the ring on his bike. Silver and Summer slowly roll into the ring and pose whilst BSB gets the crowd fired up with his motorbike.
'Masters of the Universe' plays and the crowd boos as Ottobomb, the xWa Champion walks out onto the stage in his old XWF-attire. The crowd ponders for a short while before his partner walks out...DOPE C! Dope C is back! Dope made an appearance in the XWF on Carnage a few weeks ago, but no-one quite expected for him to be here tonight!
These two teams contested an excellent match that really took some observers back to the two teams XWF days where they were both allies and enemies at stages. Dope C showed no sign of ring-rust and really showed himself off to the TWF crowd, who were unfamiliar with him. Ottobomb showed why he is the xWa champion with a great all-round display, whilst former TWF & xWa Tag-Team Champions BSB & Silver really did take it to both men although both teams are very experienced. Ottobomb's xWa Championship did give him an edge, an edge he used to his vicious advantage as when referee Keith Jones's back was turned, Dope C rolled in the championship belt and Ottobomb hit the Execution on Silver on the championship! Dope C grabbed the belt and took care of BSB as Ottobomb hit Suicidal Tendencies for the pinfall victory.
'Masters of the Universe' played to a mass of boos from the crowd and Silver looked to be out-cold from those two devastating manoeuvres. Ottobomb and Dope C celebrated back up on the ramp with Ottobomb taunting his adversaries with the xWa Championship shouting "Never. You'll Never Get It! {about the xWa title}". BSB are left to stand over Summer as the two walk behind the curtain.

Backstage; Mr. BIG knocks on a door marked 'Z-Pack' and says "Time, dude". Biggie picks up his TWF Tag-Team Championship and makes his way out to the ring.

Scott Hudson tells us that we know that NJS's car is not parked in the parking lot, he has not signed into the event and as far as everyone is aware, is not here, meaning Biggie will defend the championships alone. In any event, this match has been building up for a long time and there's only one way to sum it up...in a video package.

--- Video Package ---
[BG Music: 'Fight Hate' - MD.45]

We return from the video package to find Rachel Stevens standing in the middle of the ring. "The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the Total Wrestling Federation Tag-Team Championships. By order of the TWF Chairman Mr. Edwards, a winner must be determined tonight".
The crowd stays silent as the gunshot is heard through out the arena. The crowd boos loudly as soon as this happens and 'Natural Born Killaz' hits. Hawke slowly struts out, with Falcon, Frekishi and Melissa following close behind. Frekishi has acquired Mel's services once more for tonight. "Introducing first, the challengers. They weigh in at a combined weight of 396 lbs, being accompanied by Falcon and Melissa, representing the Triad, Hawke and Frek-ishi!" They taunt the crowd on the turnbuckles and in the ring before summoning their valets to the outside and warming up for the arrival of their opponents.
"And their opponents"...the crowd is now standing, but nothing appears to be happening. "And their opponents"...again, nothing happens. Hawke takes the stick and informs referee Kevin Poole to begin the count-out for the team. 1...2...
"ZZZZZZZZZ-PACK 4 LIFE!" The crowd has gone APE SHIT! The screen shakes and turns red and green and out walks Mr. BIG with Louise, hand in hand. They wait on the ramp and Mr. BIG points back. 'The Extremist' by Joe Satriani hits and the crowd is silent...NJS WALKS OUT! Biggie loves it on the stage and the crowd is going wild. Scott Hudson and Joey Styles are in total admiration at the announce desk as NJS walks down to the ring, admiring Louise and talking to his partner. Hawke and Frekishi are beside themselves in the ring, whilst the crowd has loudly begun chanting "Z-Pack, Z-Pack, Z-Pack!"
This match was fantastic from beginning to end. The crowd was thrilled to see the Z-Pack re-united and the Triad team work extremely well. Both teams really did not care about their well-being, all they wanted was to win the championships. It was a gutsy performance from Hawke, who seemed the most in-controlled member of the match. Frekishi did however manage to show his class with some great moves to take Biggie down. NJS, was the star of the show, however, showing no slowdown after an extended absence from the ring. NJS managed to hit the N-Factor early on in the match on Hawke and the match was all but over, albeit for Falcon's interference. This set off a frantic chain of events, that saw Hawke grab a steel chair, swing for Biggie, miss and found himself through the announce table at ringside via a chokeslam. In the ring, Frekishi was doing a number on NJS and managed to hit him with a big boot. Louise provided the distraction for the referee Poole, and Frekishi found himself on the receiving end of a TradeMark DDT! NJS leaped over and delivered the Lionsault to huge cheers, and as Hawke was about to come in, Biggie yanked him back and nailed him with a spinebuster at ringside! NJS covered and scored the pinfall victory, but Hawke whined and complained at ringside to referee Poole.
'The Extremist' hit to huge cheers as Biggie simply walked up to Hawke with the Tag-Team belts and said to him "Life isn't fair, ay?". Biggie rolled into the ring and Hawke floored NJS with a clothesline. Biggie ducked Hawke's attempt at him and nailed him with, of all things, a Sit-Out Powerbomb. Frekishi then walked into a BIG Storm which got the biggest cheers of the night. Biggie invited Louise into the ring and the three shared beverages, with Falcon and Melissa attending to their clients before walking behind the curtain. Biggie celebrated with NJS more than Louise, but she did not feel left out, posing on both men's shoulders with a can of Coke in hand.

Backstage; Holly is seen with Jason and Karl Davies, prepping them up for the huge House of Pain match that is...up next!

---- TWF FURY Best of 2004 Awards Special ----

We return to ringside to see the House of Pain being lowered around the ring, with referees, road agents, stage hands and production workers ensuring the structure is in position. Joey Styles runs over the rules of the match. The match starts off with 2 men. Every 2 minutes, another man enters the cage, until all 6 combatants are locked inside. At which point, the door to the second cage will be unlocked and the winner will be the man who gets to the top of the second cage and grabs the TWF Intercontinental Championship belt. For one time only, we can also confirm that weapons have been set up on tables surrounding the ring, giving House of Pain 3 a right touch.
Rachel Stevens is standing on the outside of the ring, near Scott and Joey's temporary announce desk. The bell rings and she announces the contest. "Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is sanctioned by the xTreMe Wrestling Alliance, the xWa, for one fall and it is for the TWF Intercontinental Championship. This match is a House of Pain match, where the winner will be the first combatant who scales the cage and collects the TWF Intercontinental Championship belt hanging at the top of the second cage".
Scott Hudson comments that he hasn't commented on one of these in a year, so forgive him if his announcing is a bit rusty. There is a silence as we await the first competitor. The referee's whistle blows and it appears that the champion is going to be the first man out! Indeed he is! Karl Davies walks down to the ring without his title belt, but with Holly. Holly enters the cage with Davies and poses with him, full of confidence that at least one of her clients will walk away with the belt tonight. Holly, however seems adamant on being inside the cage! She argues with both referees and she seems intent on staying inside!
However, 'No More Tears' hits! The crowd has gone insane! The MD and Chair of the Board, Mr. Douglas Edwards Esq. is standing on top of the stage with his entourage of bodyguards! The crowd is cheering and applauding and he has a microphone. The MD says that if Holly wants to stay in the cage, she is welcome to, but she will be a competitor and the match will get underway with those two as the opening combatants. Holly says that she managed to get into the contract that she will be in the cage. Doug informs her that she is talking to the chair of the board and managing director, and whatever he says goes, regardless of contracts. Why? Because he has the power and authority to blackout this event right here, right now, and Holly will be held responsible for it, and the refunds for all of the PPV viewers will come out of her pay check. The House of Pain, he says, was devised for 6 competitors and a referee, not 7 competitors. Holly now realises the consequence of her actions and she gracefully steps out of the cage. The MD informs her that if she does enter the cage at any moment, she will become a competitor and she will annul herself from any immunity she has a simply being a valet. Davies simply looks on as 'No More Tears' hits and the MD walks backstage with his bodyguards.
'Killers' hits and as Holly walks back up the ramp, she is laughed at by J-Fox who now enters the cage and is ready to compete. Referee Peter Cavalli will man the inside of the cage, whilst Will Morris, of all people, has been brought out of retirement to referee this match. Morris, is of course, the head trainer at the TWF Asylum.

---- House of Pain Highlights ----

We return from the short break which summed up past House of Pain matches to begin this year's contest. J-Fox and Karl Davies began the match with some straight-up wrestling, with no hardcore action involved. They wanted to get an early advantage over each other as they have possibly the hardest task of the night: winning the match after drawing #1 & #2. Suddenly, a countdown to participant #3 appeared...5-4-3-2-1-0!
IT'S DEADMAN! 'Rollin' blasted over the PA to a HUGE cheer, and Deadman walked slowly down to the ring, staring straight up at the TWF Intercontinental Championship belt, that is almost 30 feet in the air. Deadman entered the ring and helped J-Fox work over Davies. Once Davies was thrown out of the ring, the two stablemates looked at each other, shook hands, and contested some wonderful chain wrestling action that the crowd simply adored. Davies however came back into the ring carrying a steel chair and cracked both men in the head with massive shots that had the capacity crowd booing in sync. Again, the clock began to countdown...5-4-3-2-1-0!
IT'S JASON DAVIES! The crowd boos as Jason hits the ring. He runs down into the ring and we appear to have an even contest now, as both the Jocks double-teamed the Allied Powers duo. The Jocks definitely had the advantage in this period of the match. They also began to get violent, using trash can lids, tables and chairs to pummel down on Deadman and J-Fox meaning all they had to do was wait for the 6th man to enter and the door will open to the second cage. However, Jason Davies doesn't want to wait! Jason goes under the ring and grabs a ladder and climbs up to where there is a power supply. Jason tries to disconnect it, but ends up getting electrocuted and falls straight onto Karl Davies! Joey Styles comments that this is not a Chamber of Horrors match, but if it was, we'd have winners right now. The clock appeared in the corner of the screen once more. 5-4-3-2-1-0!
IT'S STEVEN JENKINS! The crowd blew the roof off the CIA as Jenkins walked down to the ring, minus Hayley Holder, but still had a look of absolute fury in his eye. He entered the cage and immediately took on Karl Davies and the two battled all over the ring and it spilled over onto the ringside area. Jenkins seemed in total control until Jason Davies got to his feet and the Jocks did another double team with Holly looking on at ringside. Holly appears to be directing traffic from outside the cage, but still, the Davies boys are in total control. Deadman and J-Fox had other ideas. They took Jason and got him in the ring whilst Jenkins took on Karl in one corner. Deadman and Jenkins waited and J-Fox nailed two Train Splashes on both men as the clock counted down to the final competitor! 5-4-3-2-1-0!
IT'S MARZ! The crowd booed BIG TIME as Marz walked down to the ring. He smiles at Holly before entering the cage. Referee Will Morris then locks and then padlocks the cage door shut. He will continue to man outside the cage in case of any outside interference. Now the real match began. The door to the top was opened at last and now the race was on as to who would get there first. Of all the men in this match, only Deadman and Marz have had experience of the House of Pain before and that was at last year's event. Deadman and Marz were the first two to climb up the ladder, and they battled inside the top cage for a good while, trying to get the advantage. The crowd was in awe of this amazing match which is possibly going to sneak an entry into the match of the year category at the Best of 2004 Awards.
Steven Jenkins and Davies then fought their way up to the second cage, but, instead of going in through the normal door, Jenkins decided to go through a door that takes him out onto the top of the bottom cage that surrounds ringside! Karl Davies can't believe his bad luck and Jenkins appears to be heading for the belt, but is stopped short by Jason Davies, who pulls him back down. Davies and Jenkins then fight their way around the side of the cage nearest the announce table. Meanwhile, inside the top cage, Marz used his massive experience to dominate and looked to be heading for the belt, trying to make up for the fact that Hawke and Frekishi dropped the Triad's ball earlier on tonight. Jenkins and Davies then tried to eliminate one another by looking to throw each other off the cage. But instead, Davies charged at the cage and looked to hit the 3-point Football Stance. But Jenkins dodged it! Davies went into the cage and caused a panel to collapse right on Karl Davies! Holly can't believe it and is furious at ringside. Holly looks to be so furious, she takes off her high-heels and attempts to climb the cage. But suddenly, Owen Carl and Hades make their way down to the ring! Karl Davies has a hold on Holly, but he lets go and she falls into the arms of Hades! Jason and Karl look on dumbfounded, but suddenly, are thrown out of the second cage by Deadman and J-Fox who decimate them whilst we see that backstage, Hades and Owen Carl have made off with Holly! The crowd cheers as they see the footage, but Jason and Karl are unaware of it! Suddenly, Steven Jenkins charges at Marz and hits him with a Jenkins DDT! The crowd cheers, and Jenkins looks around at Deadman and J-Fox. Jenkins shrugs his shoulders and climbs up to the very top of the second cage. He tip-toes and goes for the belt...and gets it!
The crowd explodes and each man is given a standing ovation as 'Out of My Way' hits to huge cheers. Jenkins looks at the TWF Intercontinental Championship and is close to tears. The Davies's are beside themselves with rage whilst Marz is already half way down the cage and laughs at the Davies's who have been screwed by the monster, Hades tonight. Jenkins is congratulated by his stablemates, Deadman and J-Fox at the top of the cage and the three embrace and pose before climbing back down the cage. Scott Hudson mentions that of the 3 House of Pain matches in TWF history that was the one that had the most at stake because each man fought against each other and their careers to ensure they walked out of the CIA with the TWF Intercontinental Championship. Scott quips "Heh, another Match of the Year nomination" and Joey seems to agree.

Backstage; Mastermind is seen walking down a hallway ready for the main event that is up next!

Back at the announce table, Scott and Joey say that the House of Pain has been raised and the full extent of ringside's carnage has been revealed, with ring posts dented, mats shredded and turnbuckles exposed. As the ring crew have the unenviable task of getting the ring finalised for the main event, Joey reminds us that the TWF Best of 2003 Awards are up and running and the winners will be revealed at the best of 2004 FURY Awards Special. Scott then reminds us that the TWF will be live from Jumeriah Beach in Dubai, UAE on February 4th for the big Bash at the Beach event.
But now, the focus must turn towards Mastermind and The Shott, two larger-than-life superstars who are desperate for the glory of having the TWF World Championship around their waist.

---- Video Package ----
[BG Music: 'Nothing Wrong' - Jimmy Eat World]

The electric riffs of 'Cowboys from Hell' by Pantera blasts over the PA as the smoke pours out onto the stage. Rachel Stevens announces the match, "The following contest scheduled for one fall is for the TWF World Championship and a winner must be determined this evening! Introducing first, the challenger, now residing in Broadlands, Bridgend; from Cwmbran, Gwent; weighing 290lbs...THE SHOTT!". The Shott is by now already in the ring and is getting himself psyched for this next match, where The Shott looks to become only the 2nd 4-Time TWF World Champion behind Mr. BIG, who has held the belt a record 5-times.
The TotalTron fills up with electronic gadgetry and circuit boards...BAM! 'Mastermind' by Megadeth plays and the crowd is cheering loudly and chanting "Mastermind-Mastermind-Mastermind" much like they would chant for Bill Goldberg. Mastermind makes his way out with the TWF World Championship belt and poses, causing smoke to rise from the stage. "And his opponent, from Manhattan, New York; weighing 325lbs; he is the current, reigning and defending Total Wrestling Federation World Champion; The One, The Only...MASTERMIND!".
These two men had built up such a hatred in the past few weeks that it was the crowd's delight to see such emotion bottled up and explode in one match. The Shott seemed the more aggressive of the two, using combos of punches and kicks before whipping Mastermind into the ropes and going on major offensives. Mastermind was cool, calm and calculated in his efforts, using some great wrestling knowledge to out-smart The Shott on more than one occasion and proving that a great mind does have an advantage. Mastermind had an advantage after hitting the Intimidator mid-way through the match, but The Shott reversed a pinfall attempt and had Mastermind in an armbar that had Mastermind screaming in pain. This didn't stop Mastermind however. The Shott appeared to have the match won himself when he managed to hit Mastermind with the Machine Gun Knee Strikes, but uncharacteristically, The Shott climbed to the top rope and looked to hit a fairly simple elbow drop. Except, Mastermind got up, turned Shott around and hit Death from Above! Mastermind crawled over and covered: 1-2-3!
'Mastermind' hit and Mastermind struggled to get to his feet after the impact of that manoeuvre. Replays showed just how much air both men got from the top rope. Mastermind is presented the TWF World Championship and simply smiles. Mastermind poses on the turnbuckles as The Shott is left to watch from the ramp, clutching is head in pain and despair as Mastermind closes out 2004 as the TWF World Champion. We are left to see Mastermind posing with the belt as the show brought the curtain down on the TWF in 2004.
