July 31st 2005
Rhys Reed Entertainment Centre, Wick, Vale of GlamorganThe opening highlight reel showed us what happened at World Domination last month, including the announcement of the No Limits Championship and the PCW's unsuccessful invasion of the RWF.
'Reborn' plays to a huge cheer from the crowd and the fireworks go off on the stage, with some special decorations for tonight's event, Bloodlust! Joey Styles and 'The Enforcer' Arn Anderson are at ringside and remind us that a No Limits Champion will be crowned tonight, as well as finding out who is better...PCW or RWF. Hanging above the ring, ominously, is the Cell, ready for use in our main event tonight...tlC V!
PCW's music hits and the crowd boos as Mr. Hughes leads out his troops. The PCW team walk down to the ring and Mr. Hughes has a microphone. Hughes says that since last month's event, a lot has happened. The TWF has returned (which gets a HUGE pop), XCW has held a PPV (another HUGE pop), and PCW had another superb event (the crowd boos). What makes it most interesting is who turned up at the PCW event a few weeks ago. Mr. Hughes says that he needs to say something. Unbeknownst to practically everyone in Welsh Wrestling, until about 2 weeks ago, one of PCW's female members has been dating an xWa star. Sian has been dating Mr. BIG for almost a year. The crowd cheers. Hughes says, but this story just got interesting. Hughes then shows footage on the xTreMeVision of what happened in the parking lot after PCW's event a few weeks ago...The Protege turned up and went home with Sian. The crowd jeers and Hughes says that PCW has now gone 1-0 up because The Protege has screwed Mr. BIG, quite literally! The crowd boos & hisses loudly. Suddenly 'Break The Walls Down' hits! The crowd cheers as NJS walks out carrying a microphone! NJS says that PCW don't have any right to be out here right now, so he advises that they shut the hell up. NJS tells us that the xWa, just prior to the show, have announced that tonight, there will be a special guest referee for the tlC V match...and that man is MR. BIG! The crowd goes CRAZY as NJS walks backstage and PCW don't know what to say!
The opening match was Tom Grubb vs. Blood Brother Todd. This was a great cruiserweight contest with both men throwing caution to the wind and pulling out all the stops to try and leave victorious. In the end, it was Grubb who secured victory with a Godsmack in the middle of the ring. However, after the match, Blood Brother Luke attempted to gain some revenge for his tag-partner, but Grubb quickly left the ring through the crowd.
Backstage; Alexis Coles was with the RWF World Champion, The Assassin. Assassin says that he can't help himself, but right now, he is on top of the world. A recent independent poll placed him #1 in a list of current active wrestlers of the moment and he is the World Champion in one world-class organisation, the TWF, and a World Champion in a joke federation, the RWF. The crowd boos. But, The Assassin says that he does feel that the RWF is being screwed over by PCW here, so as much as he hates this place, for the safety of his job, and nothing else, he is RWF. But, tonight, for him, it's not about alliances, it's about beating that piece of garbage Marz to remain the RWF World Champion. Marz will learn that he can only live if he let's him.
Gareth Cole took on New Blood member Ripper in a Genesis title match. This was a brutal contest that mainly saw a beat down from Cole on Ripper and he eventually took victory after hitting Ripper with a top-rope DDT. Post-match, Cole said that he has grown sick of people not respecting him and told the crowd that he is a huge rock star and does not deserve the reaction he gets from the crowd. Cole says that at the next RWF event, The Career Killer, he is challenging anyone in the back who thinks they are good enough to a Battle of the Bands. Cole says his band have just released a brand new CD that can be found in stores and he is confident that it will be a hit. So anyone who thinks they are any good, next month is your chance.
---- TWF Summer Break VI Commercial ----
Following the commercial, Mr. Smooth sat down with Louise on Sit Down With A Superstar. Smoothy talked to Louise about her relationship with Mr. BIG, who she describe as "a fab guy and one of the best friends she could ever hope for" and NJS, saying "he's made me more happy than I could have ever imagined". Louise says that in the future, she'd like to be with NJS, do some modelling and see some of her favourite artists in concert. Louise said that Biggie and her are great friends and along with NJS, they share some similar interests. Louise confirms that she was seeing Biggie for a short while before she saw NJS...when suddenly, some mysterious music plays and PCW's Sian walks out! Sian says that Louise is talking out of her ass. Sian was seeing Biggie for a year and he says he loved her more than anyone in the world. Both girls look confused until Biggie suddenly walks out carrying a microphone. Biggie says that he was seeing Sian, on and off, for a year. And when they were off, he was seeing Louise. And then when he stopped seeing Louise after he hooked her up with NJS, Sian came back to him, not the other way around. But now Sian's gone to Protege, she can go to fucking hell! Biggie charges at Sian and drops her into a Tombstone right in the middle of the SDWAS set! The crowd cheers as Biggie apologises to Smoothy, and then to Louise. The two hug and Biggie walks backstage.
The No Limits Title match was up next. This was an excellent contest that really showed off the RWF's talent and what we can come to expect in the No Limits Division in the coming months. Blade, Matthew Jones, Josh Jericho and Dead gave their all, but Blade was the inaugural champion after sending Jericho flying through 4 tables and barbed wire and then climbing the ladder to the top. Blade celebrated with his buddy Dead, until the Blood Brothers attacked. Ripper came down, but was beaten down badly by the three. Suddenly, High Voltage appeared on the ramp and told the Blood Brothers that at The Career Killer, they will each face off against each other in the first round! The crowd cheers as he walks backstage.
---- XCW Back With a Vengeance Highlights ----
Scott & Arn informed us that the next RWF show will be The Career Killer tournament on August 28th 2005 at the Wick Community Centre, and will feature, the Career Killer 16-Man Tournament, where the winner will get a title shot at RWF Field of Screams in September. Also, we have learned that Gareth Cole and his band have issued an open challenge to any band to take them on at a Battle of the Bands at the event.
The Assassin took on his former boss, Marz, in the RWF World Championship match. These two spared no expense in trying to completely decimate the other. Assassin had control for most of the match, but the experience of Marz eventually shone through. Marz hit the OOTW Stunner, but went for The Bomb and it was countered by The Assassin into an F-5 and the Assassin covered for the victory. He walked backstage looking extremely smug, with Marz left laying in the ring.
The tlC Match followed and was the main event. As the cell lowered, NJS joined Joey & Arn on commentary and laid down his opinions on PCW, telling the duo that it's "nothing but a joke" and "doesn't deserve to even exist it's so poorly run". Joey and Arn agreed. 'Disconnect' played to a massive cheer and Mr. BIG walked down to the ring wearing a referee's shirt and the RWF and PCW teams made their way to the ring collectively. Biggie didn't seek to stop any chaos, he simply wanted to see it first hand in the match he devised and is still the only man to have participated in every tlC match in wrestling history. PCW didn't react to the surroundings well. The RWF dudes did with gusto, with High Voltage, in his first wrestling match in over a year, showing the way. The fights continued all over the cell, but as High Voltage seemingly wrapped things up, he was attacked from behind by the entire PCW contingent! It just turned into an all out war, until suddenly, Mr. BIG clocked The Defender with his lead pipe! The crowd cheered as JCVS went up top and delivered a Frog Splash onto a steel chair and covered for the victory. As the cell was raised, from the crowd came the entire PCW roster! All 20 or so PCW members came into the ring for a mass brawl! The PCW guys beat down on the RWF guys until The Assassin came running down and tried to even the score. He gained the upper hand for a short while until the PCW guys pummelled down on him as well. PCW posed thinking they had won, until Mr. BIG came back with a t-shirt on and with NJS! The two entered the ring and the game changed big time! Biggie, NJS, HV, JCVS, The Vamp, The New Blood, The Shott and HV evened the score and drove PCW from the ring to close the show.
