So It's Come to This

In light of NJS's recent announcement that XCW is to close it's doors, it's about time I came out and told everyone something we've been pretty much expecting for about 2 years.

The TWF is closed.

It's taken me almost 3 years to pluck up the courage and guts to finally admit the TWF has run it's course.

In the 5 years that the TWF has been running, I've had the time of my life with it. I doubt I'll forget it. I'll still be talking about it to NJS when we are walking around in zimmer-frames (if I make that long).

Why has the TWF stopped? Firstly, it's because I've found myself with increasing commitments elsewhere. I'm beginning to have a great social life, which is something I didn't have much of before. Note how my IM activity has decreased lately. Secondly, because of this, when I do sit down to do results, I have lacked desire and flair to do them. I used to look forward to doing TWF results, where as now they just seem like a chore. Finally, wrestling in general has been in a massive downturn over the past few years, in the post "Attitude Era" WWF/WWE, the only promotion to have anywhere close to threatening it is TNA, and it sucks.

I am not going to delete the site or forums. They will continue to be here as a monument to the TWF and it's success. I doubt that I will continue to run the RWF as well, but at least I gave running that a shot and I think it was more successful in my tenure of show writing than under any of it's previous owners *honks own horn* Cheers to you too   :crown2: I'm also going to try and get Summer Break VI up as some sort of final tribute, once I get around to it.

I have to thank a handful of people for their involvement in the TWF over the past 5 years. Firstly, my thanks to those of us who founded it 5 years ago on that school playground. Most of you were at Summer Break VI! I must also thank the forum members and those who have contributed to the forums over the past 3 or so years that they have been running. Thumbs Up Much appreachiated guys. I must also throw some kudos out to Marz, The Shott & High Voltage. For all the shit-sturring, back-stabbing and hacking you guys did to the TWF to eventually try and kill it, might I add, WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOUR PROMOTIONS?! I'm sorry, but this is my proudest boast. You fuckers tried to kill what I love, and I KILLED ALL YOUR PROMOTIONS YOU BASTARDS! TECW/NCW is in the grave next to WCW. RWF only came of age when I took it over and wrote shows for it. Heh.
There are also two other special people I must thank for this special journey. Firstly, my buddy from Chi-Town, the one, the only, Mr. Kyle Winston (aka The Bandit). From the first day in XWF, he was one of the people who constantly challenged me to better myself in the way I do thinks, and although my XWF was a real failure, you learn from your mistakes and I'm awful glad he's been around to see the TWF blossom, and I am even prouder that he considers himself a TWF fan. Holla buddy.
The second person is who else, but Nathaniel Job-Smith, aka NJS. Man-oh-man. Where would the TWF be without you two! XCW & the XWF constantly challenged me to put on better shows and on most occasions, their shows put mine to shame (but there was always Summer Break Wink). XCW & TWF...the xWa. We ran side-by-side, shoulder-to-shoulder. If Marz wanted to "Take back what wasn't his", he'd have to go through both of us. In and out of the online ring, we made a great team buddy.
You two, I seriously owe you one. Kyle, if ever you and/or Jeremy are in our part of the world, you are MORE THAN WELCOME to stick around. I'm still hoping to be in Southern Canada/North US at some point in the next two years, and I will defo. pop around and meet you guys.

So this is it. Five years of blood, sweat, tears and so on, and we've been through hell, fire and NCW to stand where we are today. Damn, it's been good. Thank you one and all, from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks for the memories
Rhys aka Mr. BIG {Biggie}
