August 28th 2005
Wick Community Centre, Wick, Vale of GlamorganThe opening of the show documented what happened at last month's Bloodlust and what will happen tonight, as PCW goes all out, attempting to finally bury the RWF as they have entrants in The Career Killer, and matches against the RWF Tag-Team & World Champions!
'Reborn' plays to a massive cheer from the fans who have packed into the Wick Community Centre like a tin of sardines! Fireworks go off above the ring and around the stage area, and the event has an ECW-like feel to it tonight. Joey Styles and Arn "The Enforcer" Anderson are at ringside as always and tell us that the only thing they know about tonight is there are plenty of matches, a live performance by a band and one man will survive The Career Killer tourney!
To sum up the first round matches in The Career Killer tourney...Blood Brother Luke and Josh Jericho opened the tourney with a great high-flying contest that BB Luke managed to win after hitting a vicious Top-Rope FameAsSer...Blade and Ripper had an amazing contest that took many by surprise, and the No Limits Champion advanced after hitting The Blazer...Matthew Jones delighted the crowd with his antics and defeated Blood Brother Todd...Thomas Grubb and Anthony Thompson engaged in a brutal bout that Thompson won, which was quite amazing considering how much of a beating he took in the contest...Big Bob Daddy and The Shott, the teacher and student, squared off and The Shott out-skooled his former student to advance...Jean Claude Van Slam took it to Big Bob Basher and the former RWF World Champion advanced to the 2nd Round...Marz & The Protégé's meeting was one of the more hyped bouts for the first round, and to many's chagrin, The Protégé was sent packing and was booed out of the building by the "Partisan" crowd, who were glad to see the back of him...The Hardkore Kidd needed Sian's help to advance to Round 2 of the tourney, using her assistance and a steel chair to advance.
The line-up for Round 2 reads: Blood Brother Luke vs. The Hardkore Kidd {A}, Matthew Jones vs. Marz {B}, Blade vs. The Shott {C}, Anthony Thompson vs. Jean Claude Van Slam {D}, with the winners of matches {A} & {C} meeting in one semi-final, and the winners of matches {B} & {D} facing off in the second semi.
Backstage; Kaysie Anderson was with PCW Head, Mr. Hughes. Hughes and his troops have said they are remarkably confident that they will walk out of the show tonight with the RWF World Championship, RWF World Tag-Team Championship, and not the Career Killer, but the RWF Killer, The Hardkore Kidd. Hughes laughs loudly as he walks away from Kaysie.
---- TWF Summer Break VI Highlights ----
Joey says that he was lucky enough to announce Summer Break VI and said it was one of the greatest moments of his career. Joey says that if that was the TWF's last ever event, then it definitely went out on a major high note. Joey then says that he is being told that the stage area is ready for the Battle of the Bands!
Bryan Daniels is up on the stage area and grabs a quick word with Gareth Cole before his band is set to perform. Cole has the Genesis Title wrapped around his waist and his bass guitar in hand. Cole says that he has issued to a challenge to any person in the back to face them in a Battle of the Bands with some judges. He says before he wants to perform, he wants to know who he is facing. Suddenly, 5 men with their backs to Cole's band, Daman, appear besides the stage in Iron Maiden & Megadeth t-shirts. Cole laughs saying that those t-shirts represent bands that aren't metal. They are old has-beens. They haven't put out a decent record in 20 years. Daman is the new faces of hevay f'n metal, he claims. Slipknot better watch out, they are gonna be the new big dogs in metal. Cole starts up the band, which perform 'Blood Rush'. The band plays the song in full and gets a cheer from the crowd, and Daniels interviews guitarist Ellis Evans. Evans reckons the band that plays next will have no chance of equalling that performance or their sales record. The opposing band finishes setting up and as Daniels tries to interview them, he is shoved away! Suddenly, the bass player pulls out his guitar...a trademark red and white StingRay! One guitarist pulls out a BC Rich Virgo, the other a Gibson Les Paul! The crowd is going crazy! The band suddenly enters the light...and its The Fox, The Rich & Mr. BIG!!! The crowd is going absolutely mad! They perform a song sung by an unknown vocalist to massive applause from the crowd and during the solo; most of the crowd were doing windmills! As they finished, the crowd roared with applause. Daman suddenly took the microphone and said that the judges voted them the winners! The Fox asked who the judges were and Daman said "Them!" Daman tried to escape, but were not so fortunate! Biggie, Daman's ex-bassist, went toe-to-toe with current bass player Cole and threw punches! It turned into an out and out brawl! Cole used heavy staging equipment to grind down Biggie, but from the middle of nowhere, Biggie clattered Cole with a symbol! Fox & Rich then sent the bands guitarist flying through the drum kicker! Biggie hit The BIG Storm on Cole to huge cheers, but Cole stumbled back up to his feet, only for Biggie to use his trademark acoustic blue & red guitar and clock Cole over the head with it in Quick DrawMcGraw style! BIG, Fox and Rich cleared house and posed with their guitars before taking them backstage and leaving Daman to pick up the pieces of what's left!
After clearing up the stage from the melee, The Career Killer tournament continued with Quarter Finals, where the remaining 8 wrestlers will be cut down to 4 and we will have Semi-Finalists, who will fight in their semi-finals after the RWF Tag-Team Championship match that follows this round...
Blood Brother Luke gave his all in his match with The Hardkore Kidd, and having delivered a FameAsSer, the match was his for the taking when Sian appeared at ringside and distracted Luke. More interested in Sian, the Hardkore Kidd cheap-shotted Luke in the back of the head turned him around and delivered a huge Roundhouse Dropkick to the head to advance to the Semi-Finals...
Matthew Jones and Marz had an interesting match to say the least, with both men trying to hype up the crowd as much as possible. Jones controlled a lot of the match, which drove the crowd against him, and surprisingly, the crowd began to cheer when Marz went on the offence. Jones eventually got too cocky having got Marz down, and looked for the Fisherman's DDT, Marz pushed him away and delivered a Pedigree to huge cheers, and advanced to the next round...
Marz stuck around as the match to determine his opponent was up next. Blade and The Shott are two men who have no love lost between them, and at times, have had no particular fondness for Marz. The Shott motioned to Marz he was going to give his all to fight his ally in the next round in a possible Match of the Tournament. However, the biggest shock of the night took place instead. Marz watched on intently as The Shott took control of the match, and looked set to deliver The ShottGun and wrap up the match, when Marz slid in a chair. The Shott was incensed that Marz felt he needed to use the chair, and threw it back out. The two men argued over the ropes, and Marz returned to the commentary position. With the referee following Marz, Blade grabbed a hold of the chair and canucked The Shott, and gained the pinfall victory. Blade quickly left the ring, and Marz leaped in. The Shott refused help from Marz, and the two argued, with some pushing and shoving! This can't be happening?! The Shott then delivers a ShottGun to Marz who is left lying in the middle of the ring! The Shott storms off backstage...
By contrast, the final Quarter Final was not quite as dramatic, but had a significant back-story, as Anthony "Gay" Thompson and Jean Claude Van Slam have quite a history together, as it was in a match between the two that The Dreem Team were reformed. But this match didn't feature quite as much drama as the match before as JCVS eased through with a convincing victory.
So, the line-up for the Semi-Finals will see The Hardkore Kidd take on Jean Claude Van Slam, and Blade face Marz. Those matches would follow the RWF Tag-Team Championship match, which follows.
Outback, The Shott is seen with his belongings heading towards the parking lot when Alexis Coles catches up with him. Alexis only asks his name and The Shott turns around and gets in the face of the camera. The Shott says that tonight was the culmination of years of hatred and anger he has towards Marz. He's sick of Marz's stupid mind games and all the crap that's been thrown at him all these years. It's time that he became a man and he went away from all the childish things that consumed him in the past. Shottie understands the people think Marz has changed, but he knows Marz is still the same arrogant egomaniac he was years ago. Shottie says that The Shott you see now is not the real Shott. He's just a charade made up for Marz's amusement. However, when he comes back, the real Ben Shottle will come out and he will show everyone the real Marz.

Joey Styles and Arn Anderson welcome us back to the Wick Community Centre in the Vale of Glamorgan for the most physically demanding night of any superstar's career, The Career Killer. We are still yet to hear from High Voltage, who we know is in the building tonight, and we still have the RWF World Championship match between The Assassin and The Defender to come.
However, the long-awaited RWF Tag-Team Championship match was up first, as Deadman King & The Creator took on Che Mathers and Jamie Fry, who had PCW's Chairman Mr. Hughes with them at ringside. Hughes eventually sat down with Joey Styles and Arn Anderson at the commentary table, much to Joey's anger, calling him a "fat liar and a cheat", to which Hughes replied "a fat rich liar and a cheat".
This was a contest that really got the crowd going as Hughes continued to aggravate the commentators with his bigoted PCW views, particularly views on Table Matches, which they infamously banned in 2001 and were infuriated when the TWF challenged them to one later that year. Deadman King fought the bulk of the match for his team but really worked hard through the match, particularly having been put in some strong submission holds by Che Mathers. Jamie Fry did not enter the ring for very long but when he did, he made much impact with quick powerful strikes. Hughes eventually stuck his nose in the bout, getting up from the announce table to distract referee Darren Lewis whilst Fry and Mathers clattered King with a double clothesline. The two men stomped away until Lewis saw what happened and separated the two men, giving time for King to get the tag for Creator. Creator leaped into the ring and charged at Fry and sending Mathers flying from the apron. King now set-up a table at ringside, right in front of the announce table where Hughes was back sitting. King taunted Hughes, and as King entered the ring, he was met with a stiff kick from Mathers. Mathers covered, but the referee told them that they were not the legal men. Fry eventually got back into the ring and tagged in Mathers, but Creator managed to hit big DDT on the Rapper, and both men were down. Hughes got up from the announce desk once more and got on the apron, distracting Lewis. However, from through the crowd came PCW International Champion Arwel Evans! The crowd boos as he enters the ring and shakes hands with Che Mathers...but he lifts Mathers and executes a Death Valley Driver! Evans then slides out of the ring and talks trash to Hughes, who is still on the apron, when King and Creator charge the PCW Owner, sending him crashing through a table! The crowd goes insane as Deadman King grabs Mathers and hits a Death Drive Time, and Creator gets rid of Fry as King gets the pinfall.
Arwel Evans has already leaped into the crowd and the cameras are on him, and Evans is smiling from ear to ear. The PCW International Champion has double-crossed his own boss and his own promotion! King and Creator pose with the RWF Tag-Team Belts and King taunts a stricken Mathers, shouting "You'll never be as good as us!" before leading his partner out of the ring. Hughes has just come around and is still dazed, and replays show the loud thud that echoed through out the Community Centre when he was sent crashing through the table. Both Joey and Arn agree that Hughes deserves it and that the RWF has gone one-up on PCW tonight.
High Voltage is seen on screen to huge cheers, walking down a hall way backstage, and he appears to be looking for someone or something. Suddenly, a loud screech is heard, and Voltage looks into a locker room, and it is xWa Representative and TWF Managing Director, Mr. BIG, playing on a Jackson Kelly guitar. Biggie shouts "Sorry!" and goes back to playing the guitar, when Voltage enters the room. High Voltage asks Biggie if he has seen The Assassin anywhere. Biggie says that the last time he saw The Assassin was in his locker room about an hour ago. He tried speaking to him, but he just shut the door in his face. Biggie thinks that Assassin just needs to psyche himself up for this one. He now realises just how much the RWF means to him. High Voltage says that he knows how much the RWF means to everyone involved now. HV says he's wanted to say one thing to Biggie for a while: Thank You. Thanks for giving him his life back. Thanks for letting the RWF rise from the ashes. Thanks to him, HV is back to his old-self. Biggie says that's all well and good, and he is pleased to hear that, but there is one small problem called PCW on the RWF's doorstep, and if they don't get rid of it soon, then the RWF just might go the way of many other promotions in this area, and that's in the grave. HV agrees, and Biggie says that as xWa Representative, he is hear to ensure everything runs smoothly, and if that involves him kicking some ass, then he will do it, to protect the xWa and it's interests. HV loves that idea and says he's gonna leave Biggie to play his geetar and he's off to find The Assassin. HV leaves the room and Biggie starts to play on the guitar once more.
It was now time for the RWF Career Killer semi-finals, with the winners of each match facing off against each other in the finals in our main event here tonight.
The Hardkore Kidd took on Jean Claude Van Slam in the first semi-final, and instead did not need the outside assistance of Sian. However, the Kidd did walk away with an amazing victory thanks to JCVS mis-timing his Five-Star Frog Splash, and allowing Kidd to hit him on the rebound with a huge Roundhouse Dropkick, right from JCVS's own move style to seal victory. The PCW challenger posed in the middle of the ring to huge boos and managed to get just about the entire crowd to throw empty drink glasses at him, meaning he left under a shrewd of bullets.
Blade and Marz faced off in a highly-anticipated contest. These two have never had any real love for each other, particularly after the great rivalry of Blade's brother High Voltage and Marz, but having seen the result of the previous match, where the former RWF World Champion crashed out of the tourney, the two men knew that they would be fighting to represent the RWF in the contest. Marz didn't dominate the contest, which came as a surprise; instead the action went back-and-fourth until Marz attempted to hit the Bomb. He connected with the move, but appeared to have winded himself in the process, allowing Blade to stumble to his feet and hit Marz with The Blazer for a good victory. Blade and Marz shook hands before leaving together, much to the amazement of the crowd and chants of "That Was Awesome!".
Backstage; High Voltage is seen walking down a hallway once more, when he suddenly spots, sitting down quietly in a corner of a dressing room, with the RWF World Championship in his hands, the Assassin. The crowd cheers as he appears on screen and HV knocks on the door and enters, with The Assassin continuing to sit their silently. HV stands and Assassin sits. HV asks Assassin if there is a problem. HV notes that he hasn't quite been the same lately. HV says that he needs to be the old Assassin tonight. The RWF needs him to be at his best tonight. The RWF needs him to be...Assassin stands up, and stops HV. Assassin says that he's frankly fuckin sick of hearing about the R-f'n-WF. This down-trodden place doesn't need him, and he doesn't need it. He's already a millionaire. He's already got fast cars, the life he dreams. He could retire tomorrow with a massive list of accomplishments. But, will he leave gracefully? Hell no. He's the Modern Day Messiah. And tonight, he's actually gonna go out and do the RWF a favour for once, and get those PCW assholes off his territory. Assassin says as much as he hates being here, this is his hellhole, and he's not gonna stand around and watch those pricks from the coast come here and demand that we lay down and die for them. He's gonna kick some ass tonight, and the decisions already made for the Defender...he's not going to live. Assassin walks out looking all fired up, with HV simply standing there smirking, nodding his head.

The RWF World Championship match was the next-to-last match of the evening, surprising many that the Career Killer final would actually be the final match of the evening. After a mammoth evening, the night is about to get much longer for one of the combatants in the next match. The Defender made his way out to the ring with his usual entourage of women, including long-time manager Amy, the source of his infamous feud with Mr. BIG in 1998 that forced Biggie out. Defender was booed thoroughly by the crowd. 'Trust' began to play to a huge roar from the capacity crowd as the RWF World Champion made his way to the ring. Assassin looked ready with a new found vigour as he strutted down to the ring. Arguably the best wrestler on the scene at present, Assassin faces a man with almost double his experience, and PCW's longest serving International Champion. Shots of the PCW contingent crowding around a screen backstage are shown, with High Voltage looking on from a different room.
This was a great back-and-fourth battle between the two biggest active members on both rosters. The Defender was no stranger to these parts, having wrestled with the TWF some years ago for a short while, but didn't make it and returned to PCW a few months later. Defender really showed what the audience had been missing out on during his time in PCW, with some excellent moves that really took Assassin by surprise. But, the Assassin is not considered the best wrestler in the business today for no apparent reason and he continued to dominate the contest. However, The Assassin made a critical mistake of allowing himself to be distracted by the Defender's one remaining female at ringside, Amy. This allowed the Defender to blindside the champion, and get him tangled up in the ropes. Defender applied an unorthodox submission hold in the ropes, which Amy joined in on, slapping the Assassin senseless. Assassin looked to be completely out of it, and Defender called for his finishing move, the Jackknife Powerbomb. He set-up the move, placing Assassin between his legs, when Jamie Fry slowly walked down to ring, nursing his head after the beating he took in the Tag-Team Championship match earlier this evening. Fry walked down and stood by Amy, cheering on Defender, which meant he taunted the crowd. However, The Assassin countered the attempted Jackknife into a DDT and he leaped back to his feet, with the crowd going insane. Fry leaped onto the apron and Amy slipped in the RWF World Championship belt, and Defender stumbled to his feet. He grabbed the title belt and swung for Assassin and missed, allowing The Assassin to pick up the Defender and deliver the F5 in the middle of the ring onto the World Title belt. Amy gets down from the apron sensing her work is done, and hears the crowd joining in the count...1-2-3.
Amy cheers and claps as she enters the ring, but suddenly realises The Assassin is still RWF World Champion. Amy is in shock as The Assassin has his trademark evil smirk on his face. Amy summons Jamie Fry and Defender to beat on The Assassin until there is nothing left. The "Porthcawl ConneXtion" tag-team is dominating the RWF World Champion! However, the lights suddenly go out and smoke fills the entrance way as 'Disconnect' plays, and speeding down to the ring is Mr. BIG! The Assassin's mentor has seen blood on Defender's hands and he wants some! Biggie charges down into the ring and without hesitation takes down Jamie Fry. He grabs the heavy Fry and throws him over the apron, but Fry holds on. Defender gets a quick stiff punch for his troubles as Fry leaps back in. However, Biggie chucks Defender into the corner and then chucks Fry into the same corner for good measure. Biggie grabs Assassin, who knows where he is and has his trademark smile! Assassin stands in the opposite corner and the crowd is going nuts as Biggie allows Assassin to deliver the Firebreather! The crowd goes insane! Fry stumbles out of the corner and finds himself in a BIG Storm. Fry rolls out of the ring and Defender tries to get out, but The Assassin gets him back into the ring and delivers a brilliant Assassinator to huge cheers before Defender is finally able to roll out of the ring. Mr. BIG grabs the RWF World Championship belt and hands it over to his student, raising his arm in the air and posing with him before calling for some Cherry Cokes. The teacher and student have delivered a memorable beat-down to the PCW contingent here tonight and the RWF has effectively won the evening two-to-zero!
Outback, the Hardkore Kidd can be seen watching the conclusion of that match on a monitor, when Sian appears, and she says that his match is next. Sian says that he better be at his very best, Blade is no rollover. Sian says that she wants to see the RWF humiliated and embarrassed just like she felt at Bloodlust last month when Biggie effectively walked all over her. The crowd boos, knowing the full story behind the events. Hardkore Kidd laughs and says at the end of the match, he will have only one thing left to say to Blade: Roll over Beethoven.
Backstage, Blade is seen heading towards the ring and he looks focused and determined, knowing the RWF's hopes lie with arguably one of the most gifted brawlers of his generation. The Career Killer finals are coming right up.
Suddenly, 'High Voltage' begins to play however, and the RWF Commissioner, High Voltage, makes his way down to the ring to a pop from the capacity crowd. HV thanks the crowd for their perseverance in tonight's event, but finally, the finals of The Career Killer are here. Tonight, we have seen some memorable matches and some unbelievable conclusions to these brilliant matches. He thanks all of the competitors (and mumbles "all but one") for their participation and he invites them out to the ring. All of the competitors who are still in the buildings from the Career Killer make their way down to the ring and they surround it. Voltage says he would like to thank each and every one of them for their contribution for making this a very special tonight, and to add to the spectacle of the final of the Career Killer, he is inviting the eliminated participants to be lumberjacks for the final match! The crowd goes insane and all of the faces surrounding the ring light up.
The first competitor out to the ring is the Hardkore Kidd, who is given dodgy looks from all corners of the ring. Sian slowly accompanies him down to the ring for this bout, but High Voltage says that he has prepared for such an eventuality. He then throws Sian out from ringside! Sian protests, with the Hardkore Kidd looking on, shrugging his shoulders, saying "I would never have needed you!". Suddenly, Blade's music begins and he walks out onto the entrance way doing his usual poses to a huge applause from the crowd, and immediately the Blade chants begin.
This was definitely a match worthy of being the final of the Career Killer, featuring high drama, high intensity and most importantly, high action. The lumberjacks saw frequent action, with very few hitting Blade when he was thrown out, much to the chagrin of the Kidd, but when the Kidd was thrown out, referees Joe Murphy and Darren Lewis had to separate wrestlers to let the Kidd back into the contest. In the end, the Kidd had delivered a stunning top-rope dropkick, when Blade amazingly managed to kick out of the contest. He distracted the Kidd with a quick dash to the outside, then returned to the ring to hit a crunching bulldog and rolled him up into an inside cradle and grabbed a lot of tights! Blade got the pinfall decision to huge cheers and the RWF celebrated.
PCW has been completely white-washed here tonight. Despite an impressive run, The Hardkore Kidd has not survived the ultimate test of professional wrestling. Tonight, Blade can lay claim to be the very first winner of wrestling's toughest contest, The Career Killer. Blade is chaired by the RWF wrestlers currently in the ring to huge cheers, with the Hardkore Kidd being booed out of the building. High Voltage rejoins festivities in the middle of the ring and when his brother gets down from being chaired, gives him a huge hug and raises his arm in the air, with the RWF wrestlers applauding. The entire locker room appears to have emptied in support of Blade, and tonight, the RWF really has dominated. PCW return home empty-handed, and not for the first time.
