Compiled by the xWn from votes by fans, legends, commentators and critics, this list recognises the wrestlers who dominated 2013.
#25 Mike Haggar
Haggar's omission from Summer Break hurt his year significantly and is already determined to bounce back in 2014, hoping to carry the momentum from winning the Chairman's Cup into the year.
#24 Nytro
Despite a year of stand out performances, Nytro will be disappointed to be in the lower echelons of this year. Ended 2013 on a high by becoming the #1 Contender, set for a strong 2014.
#23 Kris Kage
The longest reigning singles champion in recent memory dominated the All-Action division and his eventual upheaval was a memorable moment in 2013. Looking to move onto bigger and better things in the future now his potential is surely being realised.
#22 Zack Daniels
A stand out performer who delivers week in, week out on TWF Television, Zack Daniels is many people's pick to already be 2014's Breakout Superstar. His first TWF championship reign is not far away.
#21 Victor Ortega
Becoming the first man to get to back-to-back Gold Card tournament finals is no mean feat, but Victor's partnership with Jessica Roberts again dominated his year, and he will hope that her guidance will get him on the top of the TWF mountain, perhaps knocking off his most bitter rival in the process.
#20 Sin Nombre
An exciting year in the tag team ranks with Joseph Helms (who just missed this list), Nombre's high flying antics delighted crowds everywhere and is destined to succeed, either as part of the fabulously named Danza de la Muerte or by returning to singles competition.
#19 Byron Pryce
Ending the year as a World Tag Team Champion is a fair reward for a man who has improved leaps and bounds this year, especially since teaming with Sebastian Gross to form the loudest duo in TWF history. Could challenge the Dangerous Alliance's historic reign if things continue.
#18 Eddie McBrain
His star shone bright at Summer Break, driving a former TWF World Champion from the federation, his future credentials further enhanced by his performance in the Six Pack Challenge at Dangerously Serious. Destined to break away from the Rainmakers team and onto bigger and better things.
#17 Sebastian Gross
Finally showing signs once more of the immense talent that he possesses, Gross had a career year in 2013, capped off by ending the year as one-half of the World Tag Team Champions. Gross looks likely to continue the momentum he gained this year, turning his personal nadir of anonymity into a ghost of Christmas past.
#16 Matt Aish
Considering who is above him on this list, Aish would consider this ranking a great accomplishment, but is suffering from some hype backlash as some feel he is not living up to the talk that dominated his TWF arrival. Despite a terrific match at Summer Break and a long reign as the Intercontinental Champion, Aish might need to readjust his ambitions in 2014 if he is to achieve a higher rank next term.
#15 Mick O'Brian
Could Mick O'Brian be the most underrated wrestler on the TWF roster? Had a banner year in 2013 – entering the year as one half of the World Tag Team Champions, gave an impressive showing in defeat at both Summer Break and more impressively in his first World Championship singles contest at Halloween Hell. Another star who is on the rise.
#14 Ross Lee
One of the most exciting and energetic young talents in professional wrestling today, Lee's partnership with Isaac Dyer thrilled crowds all over the world and their World Tag Team Championship reign was extremely popular. After a mutual separation of the team, Lee returns to singles competition with a lot of promise. Could find his terrific 2013 a difficult standard to bare though.
#13 Connor Kelly
Reminding us that when life gives you lemons to make lemonade, Kelly's injury of Disturbed almost derailed both of their careers, but after cutting one of the most incredible promos in the history of the TWF, mocking the injured future Hall of Famer, and backing up his promise by defeating his Tag Team partner at Summer Break, Kelly will look back at 2013 with a huge smile on his face. How he contends with the new threat of Rain will excite crowds going into 2014.
#12 Mastermind
The first ballot Hall of Famer went out on a high, avenging his defeat in the Eve of Destruction match at the end of 2012, hatching a potentially calamitous plan with Mr. BIG to ensure the TWF survived The Final Battle. One of the most respected and beloved champions in TWF history, his next TWF appearance should be to accept a Hall of Fame induction after a speech from The Assassin.
#11 Bill Hansen
Using the momentum from injuring Mr. BIG at Halloween Hell in 2012, Hansen looked like setting all kinds of records in the TWF, until the cracks in eVo begun to show, and the monster's power was weakened. Had he stayed in the TWF, he could have been further up this list, but this is not likely to worry him, now his goals have shifted.
#10 Disturbed
Perhaps the greatest technical wrestler on the planet had his year cruelly cut short after his neck injury in July that shook the TWF roster. Will likely use his time to recuperate and heal his friendship with his long time tag team partner, Zero, which begun to show signs of fracture prior to his injury.
#09 John Harper
The one thing that almost everyone balloted said of Harper was "will win the World Title in 2014". Harper's reveal as the mole inside eVo was a stroke of genius on both his and the TWF's part, and his re-embrace of the TWF faithful has made him one of the most popular young stars in the company today. His technical prowess is rarely equalled and he will dominate the near future.
#08 Jack Beam
After shunning eVo at the tail end of 2012, Beam embraced the TWF faithful until he finally won the World Championship, legitimately. Beam's intense hatred of Tobias Granville almost cost him his job, but after being injured once more at Summer Break, Beam begins 2014 inactive. Could find it difficult to return to the top of the mountain given the stop-start nature of his career in recent years.
#07 Zero
When Disturbed was injured, many fans were expecting Zero to avenge his fallen partner, despite the two's friendship showing signs of weakness in 2013. The injury may end up being the best thing to happen to both men, as it will allow Zero to strike out on his own for a time, before the duo likely reunite to act revenge against the despicable Connor Kelly.
#06 Rick Majors
Toronto's favourite son's biggest achievement was almost changed to being the man who closed down the TWF forever, twice. But, Majors's intense reaction to the return of Mr. BIG provided one of the year's biggest talking points, and the two's bitter and personal rivalry dominated the summer. Majors left the TWF disappointed, but history will look back favourably on "The Major Impact".
#05 Mr. BIG
Returning from the injuries suffered at the hands of Bill Hansen, Biggie enacted his revenge in the Final Battle, hitting Hansen with an SDS to eliminate him. The war between himself and Rick Majors was so intense it caused him to disappear from the fore of the company for several months, but his return in December galvanised a company worried about losing it's World Champion. "The People's Choice" will argue the quality of his matches instead of the quantity of his matches is what gains him a high position on this list.
#04 Tobias Granville
The first new member of the Triple Crown club in three years, Tobias Granville will now set 2013 as the standard upon which his future is based. Finally upending Victor Ortega to snatch the Gold Card will be looked back on as the key moment in the young star's career, that propelled him on to achieve his childhood dream and the dream of TWF fans the world over of becoming TWF World Champion in the Summer Break main event in The Bridgend Dome.
#03 The Avenger
That he came so close to doing exactly what he said he was going to do (leave the TWF with the World Championship belt), is a testament to just how incredible The Avenger has been. Winning his war with The Assassin (well, at first it seemed), finally gave him the confidence to step up onto the big leagues and his first World Championship reign was just reward for a man who has worked harder than most on the TWF in recent memory.
#02 Justin Polaris
Respected immensely by his peers, Polaris is among the longest tenured talents in the company, but is likely to begin 2014 as inactive after signing a new deal. Will argue that he should have ended the year as TWF World Champion after beginning the year so well, but Polaris's biggest accolade was his incredible match at Summer Break with Rain that stole the show for many. Capable of getting the best out of every opponent he faces, when he returns to a TWF ring, he will certainly be feared.
#01 The Assassin
For the first time in his storied career, Assassin ended the year as TWF World Champion, a worthy champion after consistently exciting crowds all over the world. A case is being made for The Assassin surpassing his famed mentor, although he is likely to be too modest to accept the praise, Assassin is now among the very best in the history of professional wrestling, with accolades continuing to pour in after a splendid year. Worth noting: first man to repeat as winner of TWF Wrestler of the Year.
