In the TWF's history, some venues have become famed for their atmosphere or historical events that have taken place there. On this page, some of the TWF's most well-loved venues are profiled.
Name: TWF Arena
Location: Brackla, Bridgend, Wales
Capacity: 32,500
Noted Events: WrestleMANIA II, Halloween Hell 2002, Easter HeAT 2004, Summer Break V, Dangerously Serious : 2007, No Way BacK 2009
The official home residence of the TWF, the TWF Arena was designed and built with the intention of it being the first purpose wrestling facility in the world. It was also a construction project that finished on time and held it's first PPV event in December 2000, three months earlier than planned. The TWF Arena used to play host to the TWF events usually around once a month, but as the TWF has expanded outside South Wales, it's opportunity for shows gets smaller. However, in 2007, the TWF held it's first double header since April 2005, holding both Grit BasH and Fury in the building. The TWF's tenth anniversary show was held "at home" in March 2009, which saw Deadman defeat NJS with the help of his returning S.I.N. friends to become a two-time TWF World Champion.
Name: Brackla Community Centre
Location: Brackla, Bridgend, Wales
Capacity: 10,150
Noted Events: Dangerously Serious: 2001, Against All Odds 2002, Halloween Hell 2004, The Memory Remains
As Brackla serves as the main hometown for a majority of the TWF's early roster members, the Brackla Community Centre would always have an extra special atmosphere in the air. Many of the TWF's greatest early moments took place here, such as Mr. BIG's famous "Homecoming", as well as Biggie executing a BIG Storm from the top of the cell at Against All Odds 2002 in what was one of the TWF's defining moments. In 2009 the venue played host to an anniversary of the TWF's formation in The Memory Remains, which saw Mr. BIG make his first on-screen appearance in over a year to a standing ovation, furthering the notion that he is Brackla's most famous son.
Name: Broadlands Arena
A.K.A: Air Cymru Arena, Air Wales Arena
Location: Broadlands, Bridgend, Wales
Capacity: 20,000
Noted Events: Deadly Mind Games 2000-2001, 2003-2008, Summer Break XI
Home to the SWHL's famed Bridgend Blue Wings franchise, the Broadlands Arena is a favourite of many superstars, who praised it for it's modern facilities when it opened. Although it has been surpassed by newer venues (the BOCAM Arena in Pencoed comes to mind), and the newer Broadlands venues fans consider it a very homely arena. It has also hosted all-but-one Deadly MindGames pay-per-view, and is considered the event's home. For the first time, DMG was not held there in 2009, with it later announced that the venue will hold different events in the near future.
Name: Bridgend Recreation Centre
Location: Bridgend, Wales
Capacity: 12,250
Noted Events: Dangerously Serious: 2002, Against All Odds 2003, xWa Parental Advisory 2004, Shockwave
The famed Bridgend Rec is a venue known for catapulting among the likes of Bullet for My Valentine into superstardom, but the TWF has proudly used the arena during the company's existence. Big things always seem to go down at the Rec and outside on Newbridge Fields. Although the venue has aged terribly in recent years, fans still enjoy the venue and it's proximity to Bridgend Town Centre is well noted among the large population of TWF drinkers. It has not held a pay-per-view since 2005, largely due to the more modern facilities surrounding it, prompting a possible renovation beginning later on in 2009.
Name: Brynteg Arena
Location: Whiterock, Bridgend, Wales
Capacity: 9,000
Noted Events: Total Chaos 2002, No Way BacK 2003, Total Chaos 2004
The Brynteg Arena is well known for it's various connections. As the main venue of the TWF's development company, BCW, it is often the best place to catch the future TWF stars. It was also the home arena for the bPA faction during it's existence, thanks to it's position on the Brynteg campus. In 2007, the TWF announced that it would stop holding events at the Brynteg Arena after Total Chaos 2007, as it's contract with the school runs out. Many fans will be emotional at the final pay-per-view as the venue has seen many famous faces begin their career there.
Name: The Bridgend Dome
Location: Bryncethin, Bridgend, Wales
Capacity: 100,000
Noted Events: Summer Break 2003, xWa Xtreme Intentions 2003, Easter HeAT 2004, Summer Break VIII
If the TWF Arena is home, the Bridgend Dome is the palace. Announced in 2002, the 100,000-seater dome is second only to the former NCW Dome in terms of capacity in the whole UK and is one of Europe's biggest sporting venues. The Dome was originally going to host Total Chaos 2003, as a prelude to Summer Break IV, but when Marz started his notorious high demands, the TWF backed out, and it hardened the blow on NCW's finances. Many TWF fans like the venue simply because it "out NCWed NCW". Besides hosting a variety of concerts, it is also home to the TWF Hall of Fame and various TWF related exhibits and the Hardkore Cafe. It was also the scene of the Match of the Decade between Mr. BIG and The Assassin at Summer Break VIII.
Name: Amway Arena
A.K.A: O-Rena, TD Waterhouse Centre
Location: Orlando, Florida, USA
Capacity: 17,500
Noted Events: WrestleMANIA I, Easter HeAT 2001, Halloween Hell 2003, Hard Times
In 2000, one of the biggest deals the TWF had at the time was the right to produce one pay-per-view a year at the then TD Waterhouse Centre in Orlando, Florida. It was seen as critical in getting the TWF a US fanbase, and used Orlando, which has a large tourist population from the UK that would be familiar with the company, to gain a foothold in the US. Many have called it one of the best moves in wrestling history, as every show has been a sell-out. The venue, known as "The Jungle" for the atmosphere given by home fans during Orlando Predators arena football games, also enabled the TWF to establish a deal with Universal Studios Florida, who were based further down I-4 and at Halloween Hell, they produced the most memorable TWF set of all time at Halloween Hell 2003, with an amazing technological display that was based on a 10-year old concept drawing.
Name: TJS Centre
Location: Brackla, Bridgend, Wales
Capacity: 750
Noted Events: The TWF - The Early Days, Dangerously Serious : 2007
The TJS Centre is the venue that gave the company it's original name, and it is an important area of the TWF's history. Situated next to the TWF Arena and TWF Towers, the TJS Centre is the smallest venue the TWF has ever used and it is likely to remain that way, but the TJS's size has given it a unique atmosphere that cannot be duplicated, and all those who have been lucky to see a show there walk away with high praise. Shows there nowadays get rarer and rarer and they are usually invite only, but the TWF has opened up a balloting process to allow fans a chance to experience the legendary venue for themselves. At Dangerously Serious 2007, the venue played host to the first and so far, only, Gates of Hell match, the trademark match of The Black Demon.
