TO THE DEVIL, HIS DUE December 20, 2009 The Devil's Den returned at PayBack last night and shortened the careers of those involved, but ultimately it was Mr. BIG who survived the match, after a horrendous chair shot delivered by Aaron Hill to Marz concussed the former TWF World Champion, leaving his career in serious doubt. Also at PayBacK, new champions were crowned, new #1 contenders were determined as the TWF pulled out all the stops to celebrate the end of another glorious year, including an entrance that has to be seen to be believed. The TWF is now on it's annual Christmas break until January 06, 2010, where the TWF kicks off a new series of live programming at the Manchester Evening News Arena. Between now and then, be sure to check out the annual Best of Year Awards show on December 23, a special Greatest Ever TWF Countdown on Christmas Day hosted by Marz and Mr. BIG and the following week will see the two Best of 2009 specials. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! THE NOVEMBER PAIN November 22, 2009 The Bridgend Dome has gained a reputation for seeing some of wrestling's greatest matches and yet another classic was added to the history books when the Assassin and NJS wrestled to a standing ovation from a crowd of over 90,000 fans that is likely to be mentioned in the match of the decade argument in years to come! Encores follow all week and Virgin Media viewers can now watch Dangerously Serious on demand if they ordered the event! See what happened when Marz and Mr. BIG's tough few months finally came to a head, Blade and Nytro reignite their vicious rivalry and a new champion was crowned. HALLOWEEN WAS HELL October 31, 2009 Halloween Hell certainly lived up to it's name for a few superstars as the TWF's first PPV event on a Saturday in eight years provided a few shocks. We had new champions crowned, a surprising manager change, an enthralling House of Pain match and the emotional return home of Mr. BIG, with his family sitting at ringside. Biggie may wish his family were not there after the events of Saturday night, with him being humiliated by the Foals. There now burns an intense fire in the belly of the former TWF World Champion and the Foals may have got more than they bargained for! Dangerously Serious is approaching a sell-out so be sure to grab the remaining tickets to be a part of the Tenth Anniversary Homecoming! THERE AND BACK AGAIN October 4, 2009 No Holds Barred was one of five's greatest ever TV successes and we thank you, the loyal TWF faithful for making it happen. Stay tuned to the xWn for encores in the coming days, or check out demandFive to watch the show on-demand, wherever and whenever you like. The event saw a shocking return, a manager dumped by their client and new champions crowned. Halloween Hell is in just four weeks time and remember that it's on a Saturday night, the first TWF pay-per-view on a Saturday night in eight years. OLD RIVALRIES RENEWED September 13, 2009 Frekishi made a shocking return at Nowhere to Run tonight and immediately set his sights on his old nemesis Mr. BIG, costing him the match against Aaron Hill and attacking him afterward. Already signs are showing strain between Marz and Mr. BIG, so will this prove to be the beginning of the end for the tag team champions? Blade and NJS had another Match of the Year candidate in the main event of the show, and The Assassin made a surprise appearance to team-up with his Summer Break opponent Mastermind. Encores for Nowhere to Run continue all week on Sky Box Office. RETURNS AND REDEMPTION August 16, 2009 Summer Break is promoted as the loudest show on earth for a reason, and what a tremendous night it was. Marz's surprise partner shocked the world, when Mr. BIG returned and the duo became Tag Team Champions once more. Tobias Granville scored an emphatic victory over his former tag team partner and nemesis Hulmes to win the Intercontinental Championship. And in what many are calling the upset of the year, Blade upended NJS to finally become TWF World Champion. The show rolls on, and this Friday night will see the first ever commercial free presentation of TWF programming. Be sure to tune in for what will be a historic night! THE KILLING ROAD July 19, 2009 The long road to the biggest show of the year is almost at an end. Total Chaos lived up to it's name last night, with TWF World Champion NJS and his associate Justin Polaris were successful in their brutal encounter with Blade and Deadman. The Assassin appeared to have unfinished business with his former Dangerous Alliance team mate Mastermind, whilst controversy surrounded an excellent encounter between Mike Haggar and Tobias Granville for the Intercontinental Championship. All signs point towards London and August 16. Be sure to order Summer Break X on pay-per-view or find special TWF hotspots that will show the event in high definition through out the country on big screens! BLOODIED, BATTERED, BRUISED June 14, 2009 It was an incredible night in Plymouth, all of the TWF's Championships were on the line, but only three champions retained their belts. Against All Odds certainly lived up to it's name, as Blade won the Gold Card tournament to gain a TWF World Championship shot anytime he chooses between now and December 31. Will he use it on Wednesday at Grit BasH? Deadman also found himself being driven away from the arena in a hearse. Is this the last we hear from the Darkened One? Encores continue all week on Sky Box Office, including an amazing finish to the TWF World Championship encounter that you have to see to believe! OLD NAME. NEW ATTITUDE. June 01, 2009 In a press conference at TWF Towers yesterday, TWF CEO Mr. BIG gave away the worst kept secret in professional wrestling. The Rebel Wrestling Federation will return under it's 2005 format of monthly shows in the Bridgend and Vale of Glamorgan areas with some familiar faces to RWF and TWF fans, as well as new ones. Head to the company's official website for ticketing information and a run down of the card for the first event, World Domination 2009. AN ICONIC VICTORY May 26, 2009 Like him or not, these days NJS sure knows how to win. Using the help from his friends in The Entourage, the self-proclaimed Irreplaceable Icon won his third TWF World Championship last night, upending his brother Deadman in an Iron Man match. Also last night at Reckless Abandon, Hulmes and Tobias Granville took their battle to be the Last Man Standing to outside the Liberty Stadium with someone getting very wet, Disturbed and Zero had a difficult time to keep hold of the Tag Team Championships and Mastermind and Nytro had a battle of the giants. Encores continue all week starting every 3 hours from 12am Monday morning on Sky Box Office. Stay tuned for news about the upcoming Gold Card tournament and the next TWF pay-per-view, Against All Odds. MORE HISTORY IS MADE April 12, 2009 Disturbed and Zero are not the most popular tag team in the TWF, but they are definitely one of the best. On Sunday night at Easter HeAT, they made history by becoming the first team to win the classic Square Ladder match three years in a row. Encores continue all week on Sky Box Office so you can still catch the historic moment as well as Deadman's defence of his TWF World Championship against Eric Herrera. Swansea's Liberty Stadium is already sold out for the next TWF pay-per-view, Reckless Abandon, but there are still tickets available for the shows leading up to it, including the next TV special, Dead Man's Hand. Check the tour dates page for more information. TEN YEARS ON March 15, 2009 What was once old is new again. The TWF delivered one of it's best ever shows at No Way BacK, which saw a new TWF World Champion crowned as S.I.N. reunited for one night only to take on the Entourage. It was a brutal and historic night at the TWF Arena, which can be seen on encore presentations of No Way BacK for the next week or so. The TWF now rolls onward to Easter HeAT and a return to South West England for the first time in seven years. Check out the tour dates page and be sure to grab tickets to the hottest events in your town. CONGRATULATIONS TO TEAM EV January 21, 2009 Former TWF Tag Team Champions Blonde Man and Brownie signed professional contracts with Super League team Warrington Wolves earlier today and the TWF would like to congratulate them on being successful in their new endeavour. The twin brothers, who began with the TWF at the very beginning in 2000, left the company in 2008 to concentrate on their rugby league talents and the transition has been successful for them. We continue to wish them every success in the future. In TWF news, the tour dates up to No Way BacK have been revealed with ticketing information to follow over the weekend. 2009 AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED January 03, 2009 The annual Best of 2009 Awards Ceremony took place last night from the Hardkore Café in the Bridgend Dome and congratulations to all the winners, especially the Wrestler of the Year Deadman, and the first team to be named Tag Team of the Year in consecutive years, Disturbed & Zero. The card for the next TWF Pay-Per-View, Reality Check, is gradually taking place, and the participants in this year's Time Crisis will be announced on Grit BasH and Fury this week. |
