Wednesday Grit BasH
The End of an Era? Grit BasH's broadcast on Wednesday is surrounded in speculation surrounding one certain TWF superstar. Marz entered Against All Odds on Sunday as TWF World Champion and defended his championship inside the demonic Pyramid Cage. Ultimately, Marz survived the cage, slaying Justin Polaris in the process. As the cage was being raised to the rafters of the arena, the new holder of the Gold Card, NJS, appeared and told his oldest rival that he would exchange his opportunity at that very moment. Minutes later, a broken Marz tapped out to the Laws of NJS, ending his reign as TWF World Champion. Since the dramatic close of the pay‐per‐view, speculation has run wild throughout the TWF fandom, with many pondering out loud as to Marz's status. Marz has told the TWF Web that he will indeed address the many rumours about his status during Grit BasH, rendering the program as must-watch television once more. We also will expect to hear from the other big players involved on Sunday, such as JT Money, who was catapulted back into the TWF World Championship picture with his tag team victory on Sunday… Synyster Youth remain TWF Tag Team Champions and are looking for new contenders for their belts… the ladies of the TWF continue their own internal squabbling, with no clear pecking order for contenders for Rio's championship as we head into the next few weeks. Grit BasH airs live on Wednesday from 8pm GMT on Sky1 (Sky Channel 106, Virgin Media Channel 121) and Sky1HD (Sky Channel 170). A Fateful Decision For only the second time in the TWF's history, Grit BasH comes to you on Wednesday night for an extended 3 hours live from the seaside town of Porthcawl, where much of the TWF's history has been written. Another chapter will be added by the close of Wednesday's program.
We discovered on Grit BasH last week that Marz had accepted the challenge laid down by Justin Polaris for a re-match at Against All Odds on June 13 and that a stipulation to the match would be added later by the winner of a match on Fury last Friday. Mastermind defeated Nytro thanks to The Assassin's appearance in the closing stages to allow Marz to choose the stipulation. The TWF Web has been informed that Marz will announce the stipulation for the match during a contract signing, which will take place during Wednesday's programme. The Gold Card tournament is underway once more and four matches took place last week, with The Assassin, Jean‐Claude Van Slam, Riptide and Victor Ortega advancing to the Quarter Final stage. Two more first round matches will take place on Wednesday night, including the highly anticipated return of former TWF World Champion, NJS. The Irreplaceable Icon has not been seen in the TWF since his wedding at No Way BacK, where JT Money made his TWF return, attacking the wedding party after appearing from inside the wedding cake. Will a rested NJS advance to the next round or will an upset be sprung thanks to his extended lay off? On Wednesday night we also expect to hear comments from Mr. BIG after Eric Herrera's unprovoked backstage attack last Friday night on Fury. The People's Choice has requested time to ask Herrera about his actions, which has the potential to be an explosive confrontation. Also signed for Wednesday's show is a match between Hulmes and Jackal as well as All‐Action Champion, Sebastian Gross, defending his championship against one-half of the TWF Tag Team Champions, John Harper ‐ the partner of Gross's old enemy, Eddie McBrain. It promises to be yet another history-making episode of Grit BasH. The show airs live at the special start time of 7pm on Sky1 (Sky Channel 106) and Sky1HD (Sky Channel 170) in the United Kingdom. | ||||||||||||||||||||
