The winners of each group automatically qualify, along with the 2 best performing 2nd placed teams. The remaining 6 2nd placed teams will then go head-to-head in a 2-game playoff, with the winners on aggregate going through.

I think Wales should be aiming for second place in the group. The English newspapers are saying the most serious threat in Group 6 is Wales.
If we don't come second, we should be very disapointed. Poland are falling giants, Austria are no good, Northern Ireland will be an interesting tie and we'll whip Azerbajian like we did in the Euro 2004 qualifiers.
