TWF Shockwave
January 16th 2005
Bridgend Recreation Centre, Bridgend

The usual video package opened the show, showing a lot of the card for tonight and echoed the fact that tonight, the course of the TWF will change with the announcement of the new captain of the ship - the new Managing Director. Also highlighted was that tonight Mastermind will defend against Commissioner Hawke and there's a steel cage hanging above the ring. The video ended with "Tonight is a night that will change history. Will you remember where you were?"

Now the introduction video played. "And now...the xWa presents...TWF Shockwave" The fireworks went off and a crowd of over 11,000 is packed inside the Bridgend Rec for this explosive event that is going to change everything! The set is pretty simple. One TotalTron, one video screen beneath with two light-shows of waves and electricity next to it. Scott Hudson and Joey Styles are at ringside tonight and remind us that we have an action packed card that will change the course of the TWF. There's a steel cage match for the TV Title, a Revenge match for the Tag-Team Championships and a few tag-team bouts thrown in-between!

The arena darkens and 'Trust' by Megadeth starts up to a huge cheer from the crowd as The Assassin slowly walks out onto the entrance way. He poses in his usual attire in the aisle way before entering the ring and taunting the crowd and posing on the turnbuckles.
"Oh-oh-oh-AJ!" - the females cheer, as do the males as AJ Jeffers walks out onto the stage, strutting away as usual ready to partner The Assassin. We are then shown some pre-recorded comments from AJ, who says that after all The Fox has done to him, tonight they will finally get even.
'666 The Number of the Beast' plays and the crowd boos angrily as The Fox troops down to the ring with The Rich, AJ Jeffers's former tag-team partner in XCW. This could be an interesting match-up because as recently as XCW Massacre AJ and The Rich were tag-partners.
This was an above average opener and an excellent way to kick off the TWF in 2005. These two teams contested a great match that had the crowd leaping from their seats on more than one occasion. Both teams took it to each other in the early going before The Assassin and AJ seemed to take control. Rich was hesitant to enter the ring at any stage and when he did, he left it quickly. The Fox practically wrestled this match alone and because of this, when The Assassin delivered The Last Rites, it was over. Assassin covered and the match was indeed over.
'Trust' hit and the crowd cheered as The Assassin and AJ celebrated victory when The Rich suddenly leaped into the ring and instead of aiding the Fox, he turned to AJ and hugged him! The Rich has screwed The Fox! The XCW Tag-Team Champions are now on the same page in the TWF as well! The Fox is left in the ring and all he can see is a blur, but when he finds out that he was screwed, he is unlikely to be happy about it.

Backstage; Mr. BIG is walking toward his changing room, but he stops at a vending machine to buy a can of Cherry Coke. The machine eventually disperses the beverage, and Biggie opens the can whilst continuing to head toward his changing room. He then turns around a corner and spots Holly on her phone. Holly immediately says to the person on the line "I'll call you back" and stares Biggie dead in the face. Holly asks what Biggie was doing walking by and Biggie says he was on the way to his dressing room. Holly says that there's more to it than that and Biggie agrees. He says that he just wanted to walk by and check how a former friend was getting on, because he's that kind of person. Holly then says that Biggie's also the kind of person who cries in bed. Biggie laughs it off and says "Just because I think I might have found a person who's a bigger whore than you don’t mean you can start bitching about me. You loved me just as much as I loved you, and no matter how hard your brain tells you to not to, your heart overrules", before bursting into song with the chorus from his song 'Picture', which gets the crowd going. Holly says that tonight, she has some business to attend to, and she will not be disrupted by a man so high off his own ego he thinks he can sing. Biggie says he isn't going to waste his breath on some wannabe actress either and the two walk past each other and in separate directions.

'Masters of the Universe' plays and the crowd boos as Ottobomb, the xWa Champion, walks out with his buddy Dope C. We are shown highlights from PayBack, where Ottobomb and Dope C, who has returned to active competition at the event and the duo managed to defeat the legendary BSB & Silver. We received news over the Xmas period that BSB has been ruled out for up to 3 months with a damaged elbow when Dope C hit him with the Dope Leaf during the bout. Ottobomb takes the microphone and says that at PayBack, he and Dope showed to BSB and Silver that greatness has dawned in the xWa, and it is the duo of Ottobomb and Dope C. Not Silver and his pussy friend BSB. He rides his motorcycles all day long, yet he gets nailed with the Dope Leaf and is out for three months with a damaged elbow!
"Cut My Life Into Pieces" - "This is My Last Resort!" Silver has had enough and the crowd cheers as Dope C and Ottobomb are taken by surprise as Silver rolls down to the ring with Summer. The two pose in the middle of the ramp before Silver leaps into the ring and takes out Dope C, his opponent for this bout.
Silver had one of the best single matches he has had in some time tonight, working very well on Dope C, out of revenge for his friend BSB who has been ruled out of action by Dope's actions. Ottobomb seemed to distract Silver every so often, but Silver did not seem phased and managed to out-wit Otto. However, Otto proved a vital distraction, using his status to wind up referee Keith Jones to a point he was asked to leave. But as he did that, he slid in his xWa Championship belt and Dope C managed to hit the Dope Leaf onto the belt on Silver and rolled him up for the 1-2-3.
The crowd booed and Summer did her best to convince Keith Jones to reverse the decision, but by that point, Ottobomb had left the ring and Ottobomb and Dope C were left to celebrate yet another screw job of Silver. Ottobomb posed with the belt once more and shouted at Silver "You'll Never Have My Belt!" The crowd boos continued as the two walked backstage, whilst Summer was left to consult her boyfriend.

Backstage; Hades and Owen Carl are standing by with Mr. Smooth. Smoothy asks them on their opinions seeing that tonight they both have an opportunity to lay a few ghosts to rest in their mixed-tag tonight. Carl says that tonight, he and Hades are out to put Holly and Karl to one side and make sure they never bother them again. Carl continues by saying that Holly claims to have the elite stable in the TWF. Carl, however, has the elite wrestler, the monster - Hades. Hades then takes the microphone for the very first time and says quite confidently that he will snap both Davies and Holly into two tonight and leave the Jocks to pick up the pieces. The duo walks off with an air of confidence and Smoothy hands back to Scott and Joey at ringside.

Scott and Joey officially welcome us to TWF Shockwave, live from a packed Bridgend Recreation Centre. Scott reminds us that still to come is the steel cage match for the TWF Television Championship, a 6-man tag-team bout and matches for the TWF Women's, Tag-Team and World Championships! Joey then tells us that the next time you can catch the TWF on Pay-Per-View will be for Bash at the Beach, LIVE from Jumeriah Beach, Dubai, UAE on Friday February 4th 2005. Scott says that on that week, there will be no Grit BasH or Fury, but everything else will be as normal. Following that, we have a week of celebration as the TWF celebrates its 5th birthday!

BANG! 'Slow Chemical' by Finger Eleven blares over the PA as The Vamp walks slowly down to the ring with Ryan Jenkins for this 6-man Tag-Team Match. The Vamp, one of the darkest TWF superstars has decided to team up with some old foes to take on some new ones for this exciting bout.
'Crush'em' plays, and Jason Davies walks out alone for this match. The former TWF TV Champion had a few choice words about his opponents when he was asked for some pre-match comments, which aired on screen as he made his entrance. Jason cockily says that he can take on all of his opponents and that he is the most athletic superstar in the TWF today!
The crowd is standing and cheering...BAM! 'One of a Kind' plays to massive cheers and the pyro goes off, as Jean Claude Van Slam leads out J-Fox and then Deadman on his Harley-Davidson, with Ms. Sweet following close behind. JCVS and J-Fox stand in the aisle way as Deadman rides around the ring with Ms. Sweet. The three wait for a moment before leaping into the ring and into a beat down from their opponents.
This was a solid 6-man battle and the first multi-man battle on TWF PPV since Eve of Destruction. Both teams looked to impress and start 2005 as they mean to go on. Both teams concentrated on beat-downs of one opponent, whilst other members of both teams brawled around ringside. JCVS seemed the most in-control of the match, using his "educated"-feet and veteran experience to conquer Jason and Jenkins, whilst The Vamp was a thorn in his side. When JCVS and Vamp went face to face, it got some of the biggest cheers of the evening. The two brawled for quite sometime, before Vamp managed to hit a Chokeslam on JC. J-Fox managed to get a blind-tag and walked straight into a Vamp big boot, whilst Deadman was being beaten-down on by Jason and Ryan. Suddenly, Jason leaped in and got a blind tag on the Vamp and hit J-Fox with the 3-Point Football Stance to massive boos. Jason got the cover whilst Ryan and Vamp managed to keep out Deadman and JC.
'Crush'em' played to huge boos as The Vamp and Co. continued to beatdown on the opposition, and continued to do so when Blade leaped over the guard rail to assist them. However, the arrival of Matthew Jones finally shut that team up, when Blade and Jones went toe-to-toe, JCVS's team seemed to get the upper-hand. Jones hit Blade with a superkick and did a strut before covering. The crowd shouted "1-2-3" whilst Vamp, Ryan and Jason tried to get Blade out of there. Jones motioned to a stumbling Blade that he is a marked man as the winning team high-tailed it to the back.

Backstage; Hawke is with his stablemates Marz and Frekishi. Hawke says that tonight, the Triad have to make a statement to open 2005. The latter part of 2004 didn't go their way, but tonight they have a chance to rectify any errors they have made by making a fresh start in 2005. Frekishi reminds Hawke that later on tonight; he could be crowned TWF World Champion and Managing Director all in one night and be the most powerful man in wrestling today. Hawke looks extremely excited at this prospect as Marz is keeping busy with Michelle. Frekishi and Marz are not in action this evening, but are here for support as Hawke gets ready for his big TWF World Championship match with Mastermind later on tonight.

Scott Hudson and Joey Styles then inform us that the next match is the highly-anticipated match between Holly, Karl Davies, Hades and Owen Carl. They introduce a video package highlighting this brutal feud.

---- Video Package ----
[BG Music: 'Solitary Soul' - Solitary Soul]

The Recreation Centre is silent, when 'Crush'em [The Jock Mix]' begins to play. The crowd quickly rises and jeers frantically, as Karl Davies leads out Holly, who is in her wrestling gear and they both look ready for this one. Karl and Hades are not best of friends and the situation escalated at PayBack 04, when Hades captured Holly and The Jocks's attention and Steven Jenkins made off with the TWF Intercontinental Championship.
BAM! 'Down in the Catabombs' hits to a HUGE cheer as Owen Carl walks out into the aisle way slowly. He waits for a moment as Hades walks out to some of the biggest cheers of the evening. Hades poses to set off some more pyros and Owen Carl leads him down to the ring. Davies is motioning for Hades to run down to the ring and he does, and the fight begins in the ring!
This was more or less a straight-up brawl between Davies, still angry at Hades's intervention at PayBack that partly cost him the TWF Intercontinental Title, and Hades himself. Carl and Holly chose not to do much, but when they did, it was only against each other and not against the more experienced pros that they manage. However, at the end, amongst confusion, Davies tagged in Holly against Carl, when Carl tagged in Hades! Davies walked away from Holly and onto the ringside area, whilst Carl grabbed a hold of him! Team EV at this point ran down to the ring and tried to distract Hades and Carl. Team EV succeeded, letting Holly get a crucial low blow on the monster and hitting him with a clothesline. However, Mr. BIG strutted down the aisle way and took out Team EV! Biggie attacked old adversary Davies and hit him with a TradeMark DDT in the middle of the aisle way. Hades was still down from a brutal low-blow and referee Keith Jones was checking on Carl and Davies on the outside, when Biggie entered the ring. Holly stood up to Biggie and looked to be saying some harsh things. The former lovers argued until Biggie turned to leave. Holly then attempted to kiss her former lover, when Biggie threw her into the ropes. Hades leaped back up however and Biggie slide out of the ring and Hades caught Holly in mid-air! He hit her with a Running Hades Driver! The crowd loved it as Hades covered. Davies attempted to enter the ring, but was met by Biggie's fist and Hades got the victory.
'Down in the Catabombs' hit and the crowd cheered as Biggie backed up and stood in the stage section of the aisle way smiling at what he had just done. He did his usual turnbuckle pose at which point before looking at the TotalTron to see Holly out cold. Biggie loves it as he walks backstage and Hades and Owen Carl are left to celebrate their victory.

Backstage; Michael King is with the Allied Powers: TWF Television Champion The Protégé, TWF Intercontinental Champion Steven Jenkins and Hayley Holder, J-Fox and Deadman. King congratulates the group for finishing off 2004 in style with Steven winning the TWF IC Championship. Steven says that winning the TWF IC Title was a long time coming and he will defend the championship against all comers, proving to be a worthy champion, unlike Karl Davies was. The group all voice their opinion of the Jocks and their happiness at the result of the last match. King then turns his attention to The Protégé's steel cage match which is coming up shortly. Protégé says that he despises the Black Hoodie Crew because they turned their back on their friend Adam Taylor and left him to rot. Protégé says that the only thing that will rot in the near future is their lungs after finishing the dope that they smoke. The crowd cheers and says that without the intervention of the Black Hoodie Crew he will come out victorious tonight. The Allied Powers walk off with the crowd cheering and chanting in the background.

--- TWF Summer Break: The Game Commercial ---

Scott Hudson and Joey Styles welcome us back and remind us that Summer Break: The Game will arrive in around April 2005 and will be for PS2, X-Box and Gamecube!

We see that Adara James is already in the ring for this Triple Threat Match, when Falcon walks out and down to the ring with some generic music. Falcon has been one of the most consistent performers in the TWF Women's Division for quite some time and tonight she looks to regain the TWF Women's Championship and become a 3-Time champion.
'Someday' by Nickelback plays and the crowd pops as the current, reigning and defending Women's Champion, Libra walks down to the ring. Perhaps the best technical women's wrestler in the xWa, Libra has held the title since winning it against Falcon in a One-Night Tournament final at Halloween Hell in October 04.
This was a good, solid three-way match with each female doing an excellent job. Libra and Falcon did a lot of hard brawling, but James who still pretty new to the TWF, took everyone by surprise by climbing to the top rope on more than one occasion. However, it was still Libra and Falcon who dominated and in the end, Libra's skill won the day and the match as she eliminated James and followed up by hitting Falcon with a Horoscope for the 1-2-3.
Libra celebrates her victory as 'Someday' hits. James and Falcon both seem pretty annoyed by this loss and walk away from the ring pretty dejected whilst Libra is still celebrating her victory.

Backstage; Stephen Dimmock is seen making his way to the ring for the TWF Television Championship match that is up next. In the Rec, we see that the Steel Cage is in the process of being lowered around the ring ready for this bout. Scott Hudson says that the Steel Cage is perhaps the most traditional wrestling match there is, but there's nothing traditional about Protégé and Stephen Dimmock's hatred of each other. As the cage is being lowered, we are interrupted by GTV! The crowd cheers loudly as GTV begins to air as CCTV footage from the parking lot is played. A car comes into view and out steps two men who we don't quite get sight of. Then, a girl appears on screen and walks up to both men, kisses them on the cheek and they talk about something. The two men then get back into their car, reverse and drive off. The camera now zooms in on the girl as she walks away. It's Louise. She heads toward the locker room and the crowd isn't sure what to make of it!

The Steel Cage is now surrounding the ring with referees and road agents ensuring the final touches are in place. 'Around the World' by Red Hot Chilli Peepers plays to huge cheers from the crowd as The Protégé walks out into the aisle way. He struts down the aisle before doing some air guitar poses with the TWF Television Championship and then handing it to referee Lee Williams. Rachel Stevens during announcing the match mentions that it will be a No-DQ match and the only way to win is to escape the cage by climbing over the top.
'Raining Blood' by Slayer echoes over the PA and the crowd boos furiously as Stephen Dimmock walks down to the ring with both arms raised in the air. He seems quietly confident about this match by the looks of it. He enters the ring through the door and Lee Williams hands the keys over to Bob Sage on the outside, who bolts and chains the cage door shut before handing the key over to Rachel Stevens at the ringside table with the time keeper and bell keeper.
This was a brutal match and both men gave their all to become TV Champion. It was a wonderful cage match and traditionalists would have enjoyed it tremendously. Dimmock didn't seem to have much of a grip on the match with Protégé dominating in this environment, despite the fact that Dimmock once faced Mr. BIG in a tlC match. Protégé hit a Spear relatively early on in the match, but when he climbed out of the cage managed to slip on the top which left Dimmock an opportunity to climb to the very top. Dimmock chose not to exit, rather take on Protégé on the top of the cage! The crowd cheered as the two brawled on the very top of the cage. Protégé went for another spear, but missed and flew back into the ring! The crowd booed, and Dimmock was left with a choice: hit a spectacular move or climb down. He chose the latter, and to the crowd's shock, we had a new TWF TV Champion!
Ryan Jenkins ran down to the ring and celebrated with his friend as he was crowned the new TWF Television Champion! Dimmock continued his celebration whilst Protégé stared right though him and Jenkins and already looked like he was planning his revenge. But the result stands and we have a new champion!

Backstage; Mr. BIG & NJS are seen making their way to the ring with Louise. The TWF Tag-Team Championship Revenge Match, against mystery opponents is up next!

---- TWF TV Commercial ----

The arena is silent as the screen shakes and turns red and green. "ZZZZZZ-PACK 4 LIFE!" - the crowd goes absolutely insane as 'The Extremist' starts up. Mr. BIG leads out Louise and NJS, carrying the TWF Tag-Team Championship belts. "The following contest is a revenge match for the TWF Tag-Team Championships. Introducing first, being accompanied by Louise; the current, reigning and defending TWF Tag-Team Champions; the TWF CEO, Mr. BIG and NJS - The Z-Pack!" Scott Hudson informs us that we have no idea who the opponents are for the team and that this is the first revenge match fought under the new rules that it can be won by Submission or KO only.
The arena darkens and stays silent, when suddenly; some organ music starts to play. 'The Graveyard Symphony' starts up, and out walk The AshTaker & The Terminator! The crowd is in shock and SIN, who we last saw at Rage in the Double Cage II at Halloween Hell, make their way down to the ring. Biggie and NJS seem pleasantly surprised that their opponents tonight are ones they know of already and SIN waste no time in beginning the match.
These two teams have quiet a history together and tonight they looked to continue this rivalry to a new level. They have not met since the Rage in the Double Cage II and AshTaker and Terminator have not been seen in the TWF since then. But they didn't seem sloppy in the ring and in the early-going they dominated the Z-Pack duo. NJS managed to hit an NJ-Stunner at one point and covered, but then remembered that the only way to win was submission or KO. The two teams continued to brawl all over ringside and Mr. BIG took Terminator into the crowd as well. Biggie and Terminator fought as far as back as the mezzanine level of the Rec before taking him back into ringside. AshTaker and NJS meanwhile had fought an awesome battle in the ring which had both men beat. NJS finally managed to hit the Lionsault on AshTaker and had him in the middle of the ring and applied the Laws of NJS! The crowd cheered and AshTaker refused to tap! He withstood the pain and refused to tap! After 5 minutes, NJS had passed out from exhaustion and AshTaker from the pain, but Biggie rolled in Terminator after a vigorous beatdown and all 3 men in the ring did not get up after a count of 10! It appeared that all of the men in the ring were knocked out and unable to continue and as Biggie was the only man left standing, the referee Kevin Poole had no choice but to declare Mr. BIG the winner, handing the Z-Pack an interesting victory!
'The Extremist' played and the crowd cheered as Biggie rolled into the ring with the TWF Tag-Team Championships. NJS struggled to his feet, whilst Terminator tried to aid AshTaker to his feet. Biggie handed NJS the TWF Tag-Team Championship belt and simply stood staring at SIN. Biggie suddenly started clapping and extended his hand to Terminator. Terminator accepted and they hugged, and NJS and AshTaker did the same. This was a great gesture from two of the TWF's best Tag-Teams ever. Biggie then hugged AshTaker and NJS hugged Terminator. Scott Hudson noted that this would be out of respect as these are two of the best tag-teams to grace an xWa ring. The two teams posed together whilst Biggie handed round the Cherry Cokes to celebrate an awe-inspiring match.

Backstage; Mastermind is seen walking down a hallway making his way to the ring. The TWF World Championship match is up next!

--- Video Package ---
[BG Music: 'Solitary Soul' - Solitary Soul]

Rachel Stevens gets on the microphone and announces the next match.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest has been sanctioned by the TWF-xWa for one fall and it will be for the Total Wrestling Federation World Championship. This match will have no time limit as a winner must be determined this evening". Already boos could be heard echoing from around the arena.
'What About Hawke?' blasts over the PA and the crowd's boos get louder very quickly as Hawke walks down to the ring alone, but looking full of confidence. Scott Hudson says that Hawke is not the most popular man anyway, but an abuse of power took place during the winter break when he granted himself a TWF World Championship shot here tonight. Scott says he hopes for the TWF's sake that Hawke does not walk away victorious.
The TotalTron fills up with circuit boards, electronics and other such gadgetry...BAM! 'Mastermind' hits as the aisle way fills up with smoke. The Total Wrestling Federation World Champion, Mastermind appears in the midst of all the smoke and walks out of it to a huge ovation. He slowly walks down to the ring, making sure that Hawke has nothing planned in the means of outside interference.
This was a good match, despite not being the best match on the card. It certainly had its fair share of moments though, as both men sought to prove their worth in front of a high crowd at the Bridgend Rec. Hawke seemed far more concerned with other things and this showed as he was constantly looking at the TotalTron, awaiting the announcement of the new MD. Mastermind used these moments to his advantage and one particular moment was after Hawke had hit Mastermind with a vicious suplex from the ring to ringside. Hawke stood and looked on at the screen whilst Mastermind rolled underneath the ring and came out the other side and rolled Hawke up! The two men continued to brawl until Falcon made her way down to the ring carrying a lead pipe. She distracted referee Bob Sage whilst Hawke then nailed Mastermind with the foreign object. Suddenly, whilst Sage was tending to Mastermind, Falcon came in, clocked Hawke with the pipe and nailed him with the Falcon Arrow! The crowd popped as Mastermind rose to hit the Intimidator for the 1-2-3 count and a victory.
The crowd cheered loudly as Mastermind was handed the TWF World Title belt by Sage. Mastermind posed quickly as footage of Doug Edwards's limo pulling up was shown on the TotalTron! Mastermind continued to pose with the belt before exiting the ring and standing in the aisle way as Hawke stumbled to his feet. Suddenly, the limo pulled up on the aisle way! Doug Edwards was slowly let out by his driver, who backed up the limo ready for Edwards to leave. The MD takes the microphone and says that he has left his announcement until the last possible moment to build up the suspense for the wrestlers, staff and Total Wrestling Federation fans he has enjoyed being part of an extended family with over the past 5 years. But now, he must retire and pass the torch, and after a vigorous interview process, it is now time to introduce the new TWF Managing Director!
The lights go out and there is a short video...BANG! 'King Nothing' plays! The crowd is going insane, and suddenly, Mr. BIG slowly walks out onto the aisle way. Hawke's jaw has just hit the floor as Mr. BIG is seen shaking the hand of his grandfather! Mr. BIG is the new TWF Managing Director! Hawke is beside himself with rage as the crowd goes wild. Mastermind simply looks on at the ramp and walks behind the curtain, but not after a hug and handshake from Biggie. Biggie has a bottle of Cherry Coke and opens it to huge cheers and toasts the new era that this shockwave is bound to bring in. We have a new MD and there are going to be some very unhappy faces over the next few weeks!
